Re: [AI] How to make sense of directions - east, west, north and south

2013-04-20 Thread Pranav Lal
Hi,

Get hold of a magnetic compass. A smart phone will help but if you don't
have that, buy a Braille compass or build one yourself. A magnetic compass
always points north. It is easy to follow a Braille compass since the needle
always swings to the north. There are markings for other directions such as
north, east, south etc. Move around in a safe environment and see how the
needle changes orientation. A middle school physics textbook should tell
you how to build one yourself.

Building one yourself would be the best approach.
Pranav

Hi Siddhi,

Press CTRL+SPACEBAR for selecting an entire column. Note that this

Subject: [AI] How to make sense of directions - east, west, north and south

Hi,

Two things - Firstly, What is the best way of determining the directions
manually?

I'm a born totally blind and Until now I was finding it difficult to
understand where do east, west, north and south lie exactly relative to my
current position. I don't know if I got it right even now - Tell me what you
think of it.

It's 9:45 in the morning here, and I can feel the warmth of the sun directly
hitting my forehead, nose and the rest of my face. So I know I'm facing east
because sun never rises on the west, north, or south.

If I'm facing east, then north must be on my right hand side, south must be
on my left hand side, and west must be exactly behind me.

Is this correct?

And secondly, is there any software to identify the directions? It should
tell me what direction my phone is facing, for instance.

Thanks

First of all choose mts data card. Because of it is very chip and its
rate is very normal. But you should be check mts’s network in your
place. If yes, so very good and very easy.
It’s give 1 GB uses data in 150 in 3g network. And it’s give 200 or
300 mb surfing speed. But you should be recharge 348 or 490 or etc.

Hi Siddhi,

Press CTRL+SPACEBAR for selecting an entire column. Note that this
keystroke selects the entire column irrespective of the row on which
the cursor is. To select cells of the column containing data, you can
make use of ALT+ENTER.

Re: [AI] how to do full screen of playing youtube wideo?

2013-04-20 Thread Sathiyaprakash Ramdoss
If you have some partial vision, it is worth using "Cntrl and =
option. It will certainly magnify your screen. Once you magnified to
certain extent, you can press "B" to navigate through buttons. This
step will help you to align your video screen. It takes wee bit of
patience and try -- you will get what you need. Thank you.

World's first smartphone for the blind, made in India

The writer has posted comments on this article. Chitra Unnithan, TNN | Apr
19, 2013, 03.25 AM

AHMEDABAD: The world's first smartphone for blind people is here.
Soon, they will be able to read SMSes and emails on this phone, which
converts all text into Braille patterns.

"We have created the world's first Braille smartphone," says its
innovator, Sumit Dagar, whose company is being incubated at the Centre for
Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship, located in IIM Ahmedabad
campus. "This product is based on an innovative 'touch screen' which is
capable of elevating and depressing the contents it receives to transform
them into 'touchable' patterns," he says.

Dagar, who is a post-graduate from the National Institute of Design (NID),
says he was motivated to develop the device when he realised that so far,
technology was only serving the mainstream and ignoring the marginalised.
He is collaborating with IIT Delhi on making the prototype, which is
currently being tested at L V Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad.

"The response during the test has been immense. It comes out as a
companion more than a phone to the user. We plan to do more advanced
versions of the phone in the future," Dagar adds.

Dagar started the project three years ago while studying interaction
designing at NID. After working with a couple of companies, he gave up his
job to concentrate on his technology, formed a team of six people and
started his venture, Kriyate Design Solutions. Currently, the venture is
being funded by Rolex Awards under its Young Laureates Programme, in which
they select five people from across the world every two years and fund
their projects.

 How it works

. The smartphone uses Shape Memory Alloy technology, based on the concept
that metals remember their original shapes, i.e. expand and contract to its
original shape after use.

. The phone's 'screen' has a grid of pins, which move up and down as per
requirement. The grid has a Braille display, where pins come up to
represent a character or letter.

. This screen will be capable of elevating and depressing the contents to
form patterns in Braille.

. All other elements are like any other smartphone.
