Re: [AI] Very simple and cheap way to Accessible TV experience

It may not be compatible with only Speakers, Set top boxes are
programmed to stream video and audio at a time, to a television, so
only it will work with television,
connecting to only speakers may not be compatible.
But who knows? Anything is possible these days, try, if you get
successful, share your experience with us.

Dear all,

I just tried out the Airtel Android Settop box, thanks to Rajpal for informing
me.

Airtel TV is selling this settop box for just Rs. 3,500. The dish antenna and
installation charges are included.

The settop box has android OS. I could go into settings and switch on Talkback.

The best part is it is reading the channel names and programs as I go to next
or previous channel. I can also press the down arrow key and read aloud the
next program on the channel.

With this, there is no need to buy the expensive Sony or Samsung TVs. It will
work with any TV which has HDMI connection. You can install this Airtel settop
box and enjoy satellite channels as well as apps like Netflix, Youtube etc.

It is also possible to pause and rewind live TV. You can also save programs by
connecting hard disk. It has many more features. Actually it is like a andoid
mobile phone connected to the TV.

If you want accessible TV then this is worth trying out. If this had come out
earlier, I would have purchased it instead of the 85,000 Sony TV

I was told by Airtel staff that this is in the market for several months now.
Unfortunately, we did not hear about it in our circles.

[AI] Very simple and cheap way to Accessible TV experience

2019-05-17 Thread Prashant Ranjan Verma
Dear all,

I just tried out the Airtel Android Settop box, thanks to Rajpal for
informing me.

Airtel TV is selling this settop box for just Rs. 3,500. The dish antenna
and installation charges are included.

The settop box has android OS. I could go into settings and switch on
Talkback.

The best part is it is reading the channel names and programs as I go to
next or previous channel. I can also press the down arrow key and read aloud
the next program on the channel.

With this, there is no need to buy the expensive Sony or Samsung TVs. It
will work with any TV which has HDMI connection. You can install this Airtel
settop box and enjoy satellite channels as well as apps like Netflix,
Youtube etc.

It is also possible to pause and rewind live TV. You can also save programs
by connecting hard disk. It has many more features. Actually it is like a
andoid mobile phone connected to the TV.

If you want accessible TV then this is worth trying out. If this had come
out earlier, I would have purchased it instead of the 85,000 Sony TV

Subject: [AI] SBI ATM throwing transaction error while withdrawing with speech
assistance

Hi all,
Hope all are fine .
Since last week state bank of india ATM'S are throwing transaction error when i
withdraw cash through there machines with help of there in built speech
assistance .
Speech assistance is working fine in all menus but after following all steps
for cash withdrawal finally in the end no cash comes out and a verbal message
of transaction error is reported.

I tried withdrawing money with help of sighted assistance and didnt face any
issue as the machine is working absolutely fine for sighted persons.
I tried about 4 SBI ATM's in our locality all facing same issue for blind and
working good for sighted so please anyone tell is there any software issue
with the speech assistance in bankATM or due to the upgradation of there ATM
machines i am facing this issue, as earlier we have to insert the card in the
slot and remove but now the card gets locked in the given slot in the new ATM
machines deployed about
15 days back in our city.
All people working in state bank would be of great help in this regard.
This inaccessibility issue should be immediately escalated to the management .

Thanks
