Re: [AI] PayTM or Google Pay?

2023-08-04 Thread Satguru Rathi

Hi,

Linking your bank account doesn't expose your money in anyway as the
payment can not be made without your UPI pin same as with your debit card.

Unified Payment Interface (UPI is created by National Payment
Corporation of India (NPCI) which is a government body so you can assume
safety using this interface.

Would be thankful for any corrections to any of the facts above.

With best regards,
Satguru Rathi.

Use google pay, as Paytm has few accessibility issues with talkback.
Furthermore, paytm is not allowing the new users to complete KYC,
resultantly you won't be able to use paytm wallet to its fullest
capacity. For bill pay, money transfer and recharges google pay app is
just fine, however g pay has not wallet unlike paytm. You can link
your rupay credit cards in both the apps for seemless qr scan payment

Re: [AI] PayTM or Google Pay?

2023-08-04 Thread Satguru Rathi

Hi,

1. All these apps mentioned also utilise "UPI" apart from credit card.
One only needs the debit card.

2. One needs to link their bank account using the debit card details for
first time setup. Important, one would need the same number on the phone
using the GPay or PayTM as it would require sending SMS from your phone
in order to setup UPI.

3. Once the registration completed, one would need to setup a UPI pin
which is either of four or six digits depending on the bank. GPay would
tell the length of the pin required.

4. Now, your UPI ID will be created automatically. Please note that
multiple UPI IDs can be created for one account.

5. While making payment through GPay, you would not require to enter
your UPI id but only need to remember your UPI pin you had created
during setup. However, few apps like Amazon or IRCTC also allow you to
make payments using 3rd party apps "Other UPI apps" such as GPay or
PayTM and there you would need to enter your UPI Id.

6. In GPay, you can almost make any kind of payment be it your landline
bill, or any other utility bill. Just need to find the right category.

7. The payment can also be made to any phone number if other person is
using the same app.

Hope this clears most of the doubts.

With best regards,
Satguru Rathi.

Re: [AI] Airtel Thanks App Accessibility or alternative

2023-08-04 Thread Yamuna Jivana Dasa (Yogan Khandoo)

Hi Mohib,

Thanks for your replies. I don't understand what is the "wallet", Google
wallet or PayTM wallet concept.
Do they not only serve as a gateway between your bank and your payment
recipient? Or do you have to top up their wallet first from your bank
account before you can pay from those platforms, in which case it would not
be an automatic gateway between your bank balance and the payee you are
paying?

Once my Aadhaar card is fixed can I use Aadhaar as KYC? What else do they
require? I mean Google Pay?

You said Airtel Thanks App is parcially accessible - I did not get the same
experience - most of the stuff on screen appears to be nonsensical links I
can't exactly know what they are, and I can't find out where to even login.

But I will try the airtel light App and see how that goes.

Thanks for all the info.

@Yamuna, you will be able to pay your airtel bills from third party
apps like paytm or amazon or gpay for that matter. What you need to
know, your customer id or fiber landline number and you will have to
choose plan and proceed to payment, in this case you will bypass
inaccessible airtel interface.
As i mentioned in my earlier message, i followed the link that was
sent to me by airtel through text message, all of my details were
already filled over there, i simply chose the plan and proceed to
payment through my airtel axis bank credit card. For bills and other
prepaid recharges of my prepaid airtel number, i use airtel thanks app
only as its partially accessible or i use airtel light app which is
fully accessible with limited functionality.

Hi Pranav,

Do they send you a link by E-mail or something like that which takes you
to
the payment gateway of your Bank to login and pay from there? Or please
say

how you would do it from the bank directly? If I remember correctly those
links are only active for 30 minutes or so and then they expire. That’s
what
happened when they signed me up for the first time: the agent sent me a
link

by Whatsapp but by the time I managed to get in the link had expired. He
sent it again then it worked. It took me to the Airtel page to show the
payment details, allowed me to click the Pay button which directed the
browser to the Login for ICICI, and once logged in there was a direct
option
to pay with OTP to confirm from my phone number linked to my ICICI
account.

Is this how it works?

Thanks.

Hi all,

The trick with airtel is not to use their site.

Use your bank or paytm to pay your bill.

Re: [AI] Research study regarding concept formation

2023-08-04 Thread Shyam M. Sayanekar
Hello Radhika, in this context, instead of writing something I would like to
talk to you many things. Probably vision plays the most important role in
concept formation. And when you do not have it, you have to depend upon other
senses for concept formation. But I am afraid how far these other senses can
compensate for visual perception. Naturally the concepts formed in the absence
of vision are bound to be adversly affected. For example, the concept of
beauty. Not only this, the concept formation of the totally blind and partially
blind is bound to be different. Again, those who are born blind and those who
became blind afterwards have a different story to tell. Let us talk on phone.
My contact number is 8108145337.

Use google pay, as Paytm has few accessibility issues with talkback.
Furthermore, paytm is not allowing the new users to complete KYC, resultantly
you won't be able to use paytm wallet to its fullest capacity. For bill pay,
money transfer and recharges google pay app is just fine, however g pay has not
wallet unlike paytm. You can link your rupay credit cards in both the apps for
seemless qr scan payment at the stores. In case you might have further
specific question, you are welcome. .

Re: [AI] Airtel Thanks App Accessibility or alternative

2023-08-04 Thread Mohib Anwar Rafay

Re: [AI] PayTM or Google Pay?

2023-08-04 Thread Mohib Anwar Rafay
Use google pay, as Paytm has few accessibility issues with talkback.
Furthermore, paytm is not allowing the new users to complete KYC,
resultantly you won't be able to use paytm wallet to its fullest
capacity. For bill pay, money transfer and recharges google pay app is
just fine, however g pay has not wallet unlike paytm. You can link
your rupay credit cards in both the apps for seemless qr scan payment
at the stores. In case you might have further specific question, you
are welcome. .

Hi Minar,
This is Himanshu Sahu from Kolkata itself.
I think you live somewhere in my locality because Anandapur P.S. is
just around 1 K.M. from my home and I almost daily cross it for going
to work or otherwise. I have been living here in our own independent
building near Calcutta Public School/Urban Sabujayan complex for
around 15 years.
If I can be of any help to you please let me know. If you can share
your exact location, I may enquire about the incidence with local
clubs etc.
Even since you live nearby we can meet some day. My contact detail is

Re: [AI] Airtel Thanks App Accessibility or alternative

2023-08-04 Thread Yamuna Jivana Dasa (Yogan Khandoo)
Hi Pranav,
You say it is possible to use the bank’s interface to pay the bill.
Do they send you a link by E-mail or something like that which takes you to the
payment gateway of your Bank to login and pay from there? Or please say how you
would do it from the bank directly? If I remember correctly those links are
only active for 30 minutes or so and then they expire. That’s what happened
when they signed me up for the first time: the agent sent me a link by Whatsapp
but by the time I managed to get in the link had expired. He sent it again then
it worked. It took me to the Airtel page to show the payment details, allowed
me to click the Pay button which directed the browser to the Login for ICICI,
and once logged in there was a direct option to pay with OTP to confirm from my
phone number linked to my ICICI account. Is this how it works?

Thanks.

The trick with airtel is not to use their site.

Use your bank or paytm to pay your bill.

Hi all,

What you need are burglar alarms and they are most certainly available in India.

The security company will install motion sensors on your doors and on windows
if you like. When the alarm is armed, any movement of said door will trigger an
alert.

I speak from experience.

The alarm company may also have a response service where they can send people

Hi all,

The trick with airtel is not to use their site.

Use your bank or paytm to pay your bill.

Re: [AI] Jaws Problem.

2023-08-04 Thread Minar Singh
Try maximizing the ribbons.  It sounds like the ribbons have been
collapsed or minimized.
To navigate ribbons more efficiently the ribbons need to be maximized.
The keystroke is, control + F1.  This keystroke is a toggle so, this keystroke
will maximize & minimize.  To check if the ribbons are minimized / maximized
do the following:
1. Press the, Alt key, to open the ribbons.
2. Open the context menu with either the application key or, shift + F10.
3. Arrow up or down to the, Minimize, option.  If, Minimize, is checked, the
ribbons are minimized  Pressing, enter, on this checkbox, will uncheck it &
close the context menu & your menues will now be maximized.

really happened in Kanpur with our Bank. I can forgive the other Banks but
Union Bank of India is ours and this cannot happen without a reason.

Hello,

I would like to respond this email with regard to the Banking related point.
Yes, it is a matter of fact that lack of awareness still persist in the sector
and we still come across denial of banking services to the Visually impaired
customers. To overcome this the only solution is to institutionalize a robust
mechanism by the banks to spread awareness amongst the staff members about the
extant guidelines. Banks also need to develop capabilities and competencies in
the banks communications channels for recording, investigating and fast
redressal of such instances.
At Union Bank of India, we have started our journey and marching ahead with
small strides in this direction. We aspire to reach a point when all staff
members are aware about the prevailing guidelines and Visually impaired friends
are provided unconditional banking services.
Regarding the issue for your acquaintance in Kanpur, be assured, that we will
take it up and he will get the banking services as per the preexisting rules
and guidelines.
