@Yamuna, you will be able to pay your airtel bills from third party
apps like paytm or amazon or gpay for that matter. What you need to
know, your customer id or fiber landline number and you will have to
choose plan and proceed to payment, in this case you will bypass
inaccessible airtel interface.
As i mentioned in my earlier message, i followed the link that was
sent to me by airtel through text message, all of my details were
already filled over there, i simply chose the plan and proceed to
payment through my airtel axis bank credit card. For bills and other
prepaid recharges of my prepaid airtel number, i use airtel thanks app
only as its partially accessible or i use airtel light app which is
fully accessible with limited functionality.

Please update the JAWS with the August update, this problem has been
resolved in the update release just two days back.

To navigate ribbons more efficiently the ribbons need to be maximized.

maximized
do the following:
1. Press the, Alt key, to open the ribbons.
2. Open the context menu with either the application key or, shift + F10.
3. Arrow up or down to the, Minimize, option. If, Minimize, is checked,

2023-08-05 Thread Bharat
I have already approached their Nodle officer. they assured me that
within 2 weeks they would make the app accessible.

It has been over a year since that promise. They have been sleeping on
that promise.

Airtel is one of the most insensitive companies i have ever known.

Thank you,

Bharat.

Thanks Minar for clarification. I haven't tried auto debit by SBI.

Ever since the UPI came, I almost gave up on internet banking.

Further, you need to repeat this process each time you need to pay some

I use both PayTM and google pay. PayTM does indeed have some accessibility
issues. In particular, I find their home page very cluttered. How do sighted
users manage?

Google pay's interface is significantly cleaner hence it is better.

Wallet are just an aditional thing where you can load money to the
wallet from debit or credit card and use it directly for recharges and
bill payment with out debitting the money from your bank account.
Wallet is helpful in most of the cases where you need to pay small
amount to buy something at store or online. Some time you are rewarded
or get some cashback into the wallet as per the ongoing offer. Paytm
wallet, Amazon wallet, Mobikwik wallet and payzapp wallet are popular
wallets in the market and reward you for transacting using the wallet
balance. In most of the cases you can also transfer wallet balance to
your bank account if KYC is done.

Re: [AI] PayTM or Google Pay?

2023-08-05 Thread Mohib Anwar Rafay
Debit card or any other payment mode works in almost all UPI enable
apps. Satguru has wonderfully explained many points above. Google
knows many things about us, even our account balance! The text message
that lands in our mobile after each txn containing the remaining limit
or balance is very much in the memory of google messaging app! But
most of such information is protected and with out your consent, OTP
or by any other means no one can take out your money out of your
account unless a hard breaking or hacking is done to your secured
mobile phone!

I’ve never used either of them and would like some comparison
 regarding which platform is:
 1. Most accessible to Talkback or Jaws; 2. Used by most providers in
India such as Government Electricity and gas supplier, phone companies
 Etc.
 Any thoughts will be welcome.
 Thanks.

[AI] Inaccessible captcha on MAadhar app

2023-08-05 Thread Satguru Rathi

Hi,

This is to bring to attention that the MAadhar app for Android has
Inaccessible captcha and doesn't provide with alternative (Audio)
captcha or other alternative to access Aadhar related services and
captcha is require on every step even if you are logged in. Their
website also didn't have any accessible captcha implemented way back
when I last checked but can't say for sure as of today. This really
needs a fix as Aadhar is required for almost every government service
and one may need to change/edit details time to time and if there is not
an accessible solution, one would be dependent on sighted people to
exercise their right to basic government services.

Re: [AI] PayTM or Google Pay?

2023-08-05 Thread Satguru Rathi
Correction: NPCI is not a government body but a not-for-profit
organisation established by RBI and Indian Banks Association in 2008 and
is regulated by RBI. So, either way, your money is safe with their
interface provided you take care of your UPI pin.

Further, GPay is owned by Google so you can expect highest level of
accessibility compared to other UPI apps out there such as PhonePay,
PayTM and many more. I always prefer GPay over any other UPI apps.

With best regards,
Satguru Rathi.

Unified Payment Interface (UPI is created by National Payment

assume safety using this interface.

Would be thankful for any corrections to any of the facts above.
