A basic telephonic screening/interview will be conducted to check
eligibility and candidates will be shortlisted.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
Candidates have to register at Mitra Jyothi for the course; the
registration fee for the course is Rs. 200.
Refundable deposit of Rs. 500 needs to be paid. Accommodation with
food along with training is available at a nominal charge Rs.1000 per month.
All students will stay at Mitra Jyothi's dormitory during the course of the
training.
The training is open to boys/men and girls/women.
Call Mitra Jyothi and register as soon as possible, seats are
available on a first come first serve basis.

Inclusive Globe is an inclusive platform where persons with and
without disability, couples, friends, family, bachelors and anyone who
wants to rejuvenate themselves are welcome.
How to book a holiday:
The person booking the holiday must be aged 18 or over and is
responsible for making all payments. Your contract with us will come
into existence when we receive your deposit payment. You will receive
a booking confirmation within 1 day of payment; this will include an
invoice. There are two steps required to complete the booking process:

Step 1: Pay a non-refundable deposit as follows:

The company also plans to use the technology for its Android app and
make it available through Web browsers visiting its site.


Facebook is training its computers to become seeing-eye guides for
blind and visually impaired people as they scroll through the pictures
posted on the world’s largest online social network.

The feature rolling out on Tuesday on Facebook’s iPhone and iPad apps
interprets what’s in a picture using a form of artificial intelligence
that recognises faces and objects. VoiceOver, a screen reader built
into the software powering the iPhone and iPad, must be turned on for
Facebook’s photo descriptions to be read. For now, the feature will
only be available in English.

Until now, people relying on screen readers on Facebook would only
hear that a person had shared a photo without any elaboration.

The photo descriptions initially will be confined to a vocabulary of
100 words in a restriction that will prevent the computer from
providing a lot of details. For instance, the automated voice may only
tell a user that a photo features three people smiling outdoors
without adding that the trio also has drinks in their hands. Or it may
say the photo is of pizza without adding that there’s pepperoni and
olives on top of it.

Facebook is being careful with the technology, called “automatic
alternative text,” in an attempt to avoid making a mistake that
offends its audience. Google learned the risks of automation last year
when an image recognition feature in its Photos app labelled a black
couple as gorillas, prompting the company to issue an apology.

Eventually, though, Facebook hopes to refine the technology so it
provides more precise descriptions and even answers questions that a
user might pose about a picture.

The vocabulary of Facebook’s photo-recognition program includes “car,”
“sky,” “dessert,” “baby,” “shoes,” and, of course, “selfie.”

Facebook also plans to turn on the technology for its Android app and
make it available through Web browsers visiting its site.

The Menlo Park, California, company is trying to ensure the world’s
nearly 300 million blind and visually impaired people remain
interested in its social network as a steadily increasing number of
photos appear on its service. On an average day, Facebook says more
than 2 billion photos are posted on its social network and other apps
that it owns, a list that includes Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.

In a Tuesday post, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg hailed the photo
description tool as “an important step towards making sure everyone
has equal access to information and is included in the conversation.”

Quick Access Toolbar
Title bar – Displays the title of the program and the active word
document. Use Insert + T to read the name of the title which is a JAWS
command
To the right corner there is the control menu icon with the following
Maximize button: To maximize the word screen
Minimize button: To minimize the word screen
Restore button: To restore
Close button: to close the program

(Use alt + space to activate the control menu)

Menu bar: Positioned below the Title bar. It contains menus like Home
option, Insert option and so on. To activate that use Alt key and the
hot key of that option. For eg. It is Alt + H for Home tab an Alt + N
for Insert tab
(There is a drop down menu for all these option. The moment you
activate these option the list will drop down)

Status bar: displays information about the active document. It tells
the currently working position of the user. This includes the page,
column and line number where the cursor is positioned. The status bar
is at the bottom of the window just above the task bar.

Scroll bar: Two types of Scroll bar
Vertical and Horizontal
Vertical scroll bar is used to move a document vertically
Horizontal scroll bar is used to move a document horizontally, page by
page. Page up and page down to move a page up or down.

Workspace: This is the area where the user can type the text of the document


Creating a Document
   Steps to create a document
   Select new option from Office Button
   Select blank document icon
   Select document radio button
   Enter on Ok button

Opening Document
1.  Select open option from Office Button
2.  Choose the right drive and folder
3.  Use tab and come to the list view
4.  Use down arrow and select the document Or type the document name in
the file name colon edit
5.  Enter on the ok button to open the document


Saving a Document
1.  To retain a new document for future use, one should save the document
2.  Steps to save with a new file name
3.  Select the save as option from the Office Button
4.  In the file name colon edit give the new name
5.  Tab and go to ok button and press enter

Save option – This option is usually used to save the latest changes
of a document, which is already created

Editing Text
Corrections of mistakes are called editing. This is an essential
feature of word processing package.

An important thing one has to note is the placing the insertion point
in the right place where the changes have to be made. Some of the key
combinations used to move around in a document are as follows
   Up arrow down arrow, Left arrow and Right arrow keys to move one
character up, down, left and right respectively.
   Ctrl + Right arrow to go to the next word
   Ctrl + Left arrow to go to the Previous word
   Home to go to the beginning of the line
   End to go to the end of the line
   Ctrl + Home to go the beginning of the document
   Ctrl + End to go to the end of the document

Charitable Trust and UDIS forum will be jointly hosting Workshop on
Importance of Higher Education and Leadership Development” for the
Visually Impaired girls in Mysore on 13th and 14th March 2016.
We would like to extend the invitation to all our visually challenged
girls friends and supporting organization. We appreciate if your
response reaches us by 07th March 2016 as to the number of teams you
will be sending so that all necessary arrangements can be made.

 For outstation participants we will arrange free accommodation
including breakfast lunch and dinner on 13th March and 14th March
2016.

* For participants from Mysore city, free lunch will be provided on
the 13th and 14th March 2016.
 * If you registering through your organization/college only 10
 individuals are allowed with one escort from one organization and
 travelling expenses will be given for escorts.

 * Pick-up and drop will be arranged from Mysore Bus stand and Mysore
Railway station on receiving the travel information over the phone.
We will be providing you with further details after we receive your
 response, as we will be in a better position to assess the situation
and arrangements can be made based on the number of participants.

Dear Friends,

 Greetings from DIVYA JYOTHI CHARITABLE TRUST MYSORE.
 DIVYA JYOTHI CHARITABLE TRUST has been organizing cultural Programs
 every year to provide an opportunity to differently abled children and
 youth to exhibit  their  talents.
 This year, DIVYA JYOTHI CHARITABLE TRUST is organizing  state  level
 yoga camp and cultural programme on sixth and seventh of February
 2016  . We are expecting 100 visually impaired persons to participate
 in different events. This would create
 an opportunity for such persons to come under one roof and exhibit
 their special talents in front of the public and media. It would also
 help them in boosting  their morale and building self-confidence.
 Yoga camp will be held on  6th  and 7th February  from 10.30am to 3.30 pm.
 Cultural  program will be held on 6th and 7th February from 3.30pm to 8pm.
  Cultural program Competitions will be held in the following categories.
 Patriotic  group  songs,
 Folk group  songs,
 Laavani group  songs, bajana group songs
 All events will be open for groups only, consisting of 4 to 10
 members.  Each team should give 30 minutes program  Including  four
 category along with instruments.
 Each team is allowed with single escort, if it is girl participants in
 the team they can bring one lady escort and travelling allowance will
 be given to escorts.
 Food and accommodation will be provided to participants  from 5th
 February 4pm to 8th February 10am and winning teams will be given
 prizes.
 Judges decision is  final and arguments will not be entertained.
 Registrations are open between 10 A.m. to 5 P.M.
