Dear Members,

I am facing an issue with Sugamya Pustakalaya. Unfortunately, I have
forgotten my user ID and password. When I attempt to retrieve my user ID,
the option is not available; instead, it only shows the "Forgot Password"
option. Even after entering my email ID and mobile number, in “Forgot
Password” page, it indicates that they are not valid.

What is the solution for this problem?

Dear AI Members,

I am writing to seek assistance with two issues I have encountered while
using the Railway Epass website.

Firstly, I am unable to download or print the railway epass from the
website. The options for "normal print" and "id print" appear in plain text
but are not functional. I have tried using different browsers and devices,
but the issue persists.

Secondly, a friend of mine registered for an epass using their mobile
number but did not complete the document upload process a year ago. When we
recently attempted to complete the application, we were unable to locate
the upload option.

I would be grateful if anyone could provide solutions to these problems.

Hi,
In WhatsApp desktop, you have to select the message, which you want to
forward by pressing the application key, then select the message using
the arrow keys. Now press tab till you find the forward button then
press enter on it, wrest of the things you know.

[AI] Good accessible Video editor for desktop is needed

[AI] Problem with moving iCloud Drive from C drive to E drive in my windows 7:Please help me

Dear accessindians, I have one terabyte space in iCloud Drive. But in my PC 
there is  not enough space to upload files to iCloud Drive, which is installed 
in C drive. I want to move iCloud Drive location to E Drive, wherein sufficient 
space is available. But iam unable to find the way to do the above job with 
JAWS. Would anybody please help me in this regard?

would like to have first hand experience if any member or his
associate has availed such service in the past.  They charge heavily
as high as 40,000 for six months.  Hence would like to know first hand
experiences, if any.

This bright 10-year-old with red hair and freckles is getting good at 
addressing groups of adults, explaining his big idea and appearing confident and

In two weeks, Alex and his parents will jet off to Dublin, Ireland, so he can 
continue wowing people – this time, at the world’s largest Web conference

– with his invention to help people with disabilities and their caregivers 
navigate shopping, dining, transportation, employment and other aspects of 
everyday

life.

 

“I believe we have the power to make the world a better place for those who 
need help,” he said in the presentation at his school.

 

His inspiration for Ability App was watching a man in a wheelchair struggle to 
open the door of his grandparents’ old Black Sheep Sporting Goods store

in Coeur d’Alene, before they opened a new store with accessible features. Alex 
wondered if there was an app to help people learn about access before they

go somewhere, and when he realized there wasn’t, he set out to make one.

 

Much like Yelp is to eating out, Ability App would give users such details as 
the locations of wheelchair ramps, accessible boat launches and hiking trails,

service animal-friendly locations, and restaurants with Braille menus. It also 
would contain information on grocery delivery, occupational therapy, 
transportation

and mobility, and disability-friendly job listings, among other services.

 

Alex even imagined voice-activation and eye-tracking features for users who 
don’t have use of their limbs. His passion for drawing and design led him to

create a clever logo that appears on the app’s 

Facebook page , website

and business cards for the venture. His mother, Anne Knoll, has been at his 
side, assisting Alex on the computer.

 

He has had a whirlwind year. Last March, Ability App took best in show at 
Invent Idaho, a statewide student invention competition. He got to explain his

project to Gov. Butch Otter, first lady Lori Otter and state lawmakers at the 
state Capitol in Boise.

 

The judges “were just unanimously blown away, impressed, with his idea and with 
the heart that he has for others,” said Beth Brubaker, the state coordinator

of Invent Idaho and a project specialist at STEM Charter School.

 

Over the summer, Alex was named grand champion of I Cubed online challenge, a 
budding student invention competition whose theme this year was special needs.

 

In August, he presented Ability App to a crowd of entrepreneurs and technology 
experts at the Think Big Festival in Coeur d’Alene. In September, he donned

his business suit and spoke before University of Idaho computer science 
students and faculty in Moscow.

 

He’s even mastering the art of humility.

 

“It’s been a good challenge,” Alex said of the whole experience. “It’s been 
nice helping people.”

 

Over the year he has met people with disabilities and learned about their 
challenges. A family friend who is paraplegic told Alex she could have used his

app during a recent trip to the East Coast, staying in unfamiliar towns along 
the way, to buy a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.

 

Many have said they would see value in Ability App if he can develop and launch 
it.

 

“They’ve really liked the concept of the app and thought it would help them a 
lot,” Alex said. “That makes me happy that they would use it. A lot of them

can’t even leave their home because there isn’t a lot they can access.”

 

Alex this year also has met a few tech industry leaders who have offered advice

I believe you mean the fossil fuel by oil sector and not edible oil sector.

I have not personally studied or focussed much on it but my inputs are
furnished below. You can elaborate on the same if you feel so.

1. Fossil Fuel or the crude oil has become an integral element in the growth
and development of any economy. Explain the point.
2. Try to extract inputs from the participants regarding fossil fuel and
their utility.
3. Try to introduce the concept of price elasticity and cross price
elasticity.
4. Try to establish the relationship between the automobiles and the fossil
fuel.
5. Develop the concept of relationship between automobiles, fossil fuel and
the price elasticities.
6. Find out the relationship in the short-run and long-run periods. In the
short-run, it would be relatively inelastic and in the long-run it would be
relatively elastic.
7. Till this level these concepts were of micro economics or managerial
economics. Now introduce the macro aspect to it. The OPEC, cartel, latest
being the breaking of the cartel to a certain degree, the net exports sector
etc.
8. Introduce the concepts of sustainability aspects, emission, global
warming, ecological foot print etc.
9. Conclude.

Dear , unfortunate to note this happen , I have travelled a lot in
Mumbai locals and all trainsout bound or local have strict warning against
boarding disabled compartments by non disabled. So friend if some body
abuses you on a legitimate  complaint , do not worry and send an online
intimation to Mumbai and Railway police.

As you know all you that since from 6 months the ministry of social justice
empowerment is telling us the they are going to issue the universal ID card
for the disabled persons in which it is ment for all the purpuses in all the
states. If this is gets implemented by the central government by the
ministry of social justice it is very fine. But my question is that if this
card is universal for all the purpuses in all the states then why do we
needed the special Id card for the railways? do you not feel this is extra
burden to our disabled community? roming from this division to another
division. This is all confusing to the disabled persons. Indian railways
sayssomething like railway Id card for travelling and ministry of social
justice says that they are going to issue universal Id card for all the
purpuses which is to be universal in all the states. Hear my question is
that when Ministry of social justice is issueing Universal Id card for the
disable persons which will be applicable in all the states for all purpuses.
Then why do we needed special Railway Id card for disabled person for
travelling? it is little confusing.

Therefore, i request have you any information regarding this? Please throw
some light on this.

I hope that our Accessindia list friends will throw some  light on this.

then to Profile. Now see how your name is in address bar. Now copy the

 rape incident, another shocking case of brutality against children has to
 come light, this time from Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh.

 A teacher of a residential school for visually impaired children in the city
 was caught on camera brutally canning young children. The teacher is also
 blind.

 The video shows the teacher beating up three visually challenged students
 even as they cry in agony and seek mercy. But the teacher continued to
 deliver blow after blow till the children - all younger than 10 - collapsed
 on the floor in tears.


 The video, which appears to have been captured using a cellphone, has also
 caught the teacher banging a child's head against the floor.

 The teacher and the principal of the school are now under police custody;
 the state Child Rights Commission has also started a probe.

 As per reports there are over 60 students enrolled at the residential
 school, which is said to be a charitable institution.

 Importantly, the children are not orphans. Their parents had enrolled them
 there so as to ensure that they get specialised care.

 All of them are now numb with disbelief and pained to realise what their
 children have had to go trough.

net. It seems UGC have some problems in giving E-certificates to some
qualified persons in December 2012. That is why they have asked us for
the documents for verification purpose. Thank you very much for

Thank you very much for your reply. Actually I have checked entire PDF
document on that day when results were declared. My father also
verified the document but didn't find my roll number in the results
document. II have also checked my marks. But didn't check the cut of
marks on that day. Today when I saw UGC Mail in my in box, I have
again downloaded the December 2012 results document and searched my
number in that entire document but in vain. Unfortunately Now I didn't
find the cut off point for various categories for 2012 December
results. That's why I'm in dilemma. About my result. Actually I'm

I echo the views by Rajesh. If a High Court has ruled in favour of
candidates set the things right, all candidates across the nation get

relief. The court in this matter has not excluded others from the

resident Sayalee Surjuse, who has challenged a UGC notification

minimum qualifying criteria for NET conducted on June 24 last year.

test is conducted simultaneously across the country for various

for lectureship and junior research fellowship (JRF).

Citing UGC's notification on its website, petitioner's counsel Trupti
Udeshi said the candidate had to score 40% in first two pears and 50%
in
the third. She contended that there was no mention of the necessity to
score above a specified aggregate of all three papers, which will be
the
criteria for final qualification. She also said that this criteria was
never communicated till the declaration of the result.

When NET results were declared on September 18, Sayalee was declared

final stage violated Article 14 of the Constitution (equality before
law).

The court also declared that the petitioners, who had obtained the
separate minimum marks prescribed in the UGC notification, had cleared
the NET. The court also ordered that they should be issued the
necessary certificate in a month.

Hellow, no need to change the cursor. In the chat window, simply press 
controll 5 and locate with up and down arrow till jaws anounce X sent you 
a voicemail. Press tab once and play button will come. Press space bar. 
Thats it.

If you recieve a voice mail, you will see a chat window after login in to
skype. Go to that chat window and press insert plus numpad minus for root
jaws to pc. Navigate with the arrow keys and you will find a text as play
somewhere in that window. Keeping the currsor on it, Press jaws key plus
numpad plus for root pc to jaws and it will play.

my level best to find the book in   Inclusive planet and also in the web but in 
vain. I have tried in NAB, but the books they sent are not relevant for my

are certain doubts on her feat. My only intension here is, only to bring
clarity and not to let down any one.
Firstly, the 78th rank belongs to a male candidate
[78 153687 NILESHKUMAR MAHADEV KSHIRSAGAR]
There is no prospect to even dream 78th rank in the disable list because
there are less than 78 ranks.
Secondly, the person who is declaring and going for a huge publicity in
the media belongs to Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh her name is A
Swathi. But in the entire list there are only two names being found with
the name swathi, they are
[312 SWATI CHOPRA [ and [646 SWATI SHAHI].

I myself gone through the whole rankings, but could not find the person
called A Swati. The same news is getting published in the newspapers
daily, if this continues, it may damage the fame of visually challenged
candidates in the future, it may not effect everywhere everyone, but, it
will certainly show pessimistic impact on the visually challenged
community in that particular locality.

If she had really attained that success, every one of us will without
doubt feel happy. But if it results in a depressing conclusion then, one
has to think what to do with this sort of exposure.

Calling attention of people with visual disability  any other disability 
having life insurance cover. I need your inputs.


Life Insurance corporation of India (LIC), offer insurance products with 
accident benefit, where in additional amount of the sum assured is given 
if an accident results in to death or a disability.


So, if an insured person meets with an accident and dies, his/her 
beneficiary is paid double the insured amount.


And when an accident results in a permanent total disability (as defined 
by LIC), they still pay double. First an amount equal to the sum assured 
is paid over a period of 10 years in monthly installments. Also the 
insured person is not required to pay further premium for the policy. And 
if the person dies before ten years, LIC pays the rest unpaidamount of 10 
years apart from the sum assured.


All 'with profit policies' of LIC such as Jeevan Anand (plan 149), Whole 
life policy with profits (plan 5) come bundled with these features. but 
still LIC might not give this benefit in cases where they feel the risk is 
higher. In Jeevan Anand  probably in other relevant policies also, read 
the Point 10 on Accident benefit in the 'Conditions  Privileges within 
referred to'. And don't be sure just because it is printed on your policy 
document, verify it from LIC office from their computers giving your 
policy number. LIC calls them as Double Accident Benefit (DAB), Permanent 
Disability Benefit (PDB),  Extended Permanent disability benefit (EPDB).


After a long wait and some efforts, LIC has agreed to give me my desired 
plans at no extra premium, but still have denied 2 benefits - Permanent 
disability benefit  Extended Permanent disability benefit. My advocacy 
for an equal treatment is still on with them. Once I am through, I will 
share the experience in detail.


I want to know from those of us or outside the group who have a life 
insurance, whether have been given these benefits. There are very high 
chances that many have been denied this and perhaps some do not know 
because the agent didn't tell you.

it is possible to use different TTS.  the daisy book is text only type
daisy book.  if you are using amis or tab player then go to options

I tried this program.  It is really a good service where lot of
automation is happening in the background and we get a very accessible
output format for reading newspapers.

AccessibleNews Daisy is similar to Accessible WebbIE RSS news reader.
WebbIE is a free web browser for blind and visually-impaired people.
Once you install it you get many accessible programs. One of the
sub-program of WebbIE is RSS News Reader.

In Accessiblenews we get daisy format book in our hard disk folder.
In case of WebbIE there is a separate application window to add and
read RSS.

One good point is on the website of AccessibleNews they already have
many RSS feeds.  You just need to check the check box.  I subscribed
to 4 such feeds like Times of India headlines, Google, Freedom
Scientific, etc.

One suggestion for AccessibleNews is it creates a single daisy book
for all selected RSS.  For few RSS it is okay but for more number of
subscribed RSS feeds, book becomes heavy and takes time to load.  Also
navigation becomes slow.  So I think multiple daisy books creation can
be done by AccessibleNews if RSS feeds are beyond 5-6.

Allow at the PC start up synchronization of RSS feeds if PC is
connected to internet with a message “Would you like to sync….”

So friends try it and give your valuable feedbacks to developers.

As the subject line suggests, today I opened the website

 

www.gktoday.in

 

And opened the link Quiz 434. My problem is that, I couldn't find the answers 
for these questions after clicking the link Show answer. I would like to seek 
the solution from regular visitors of this website.
