Re: [AI] Accessibility issues with ICICI Bank website and mobile application

2022-07-26 Thread Mahesh S. Panicker
Axis perhaps, we should somehow try and reach the top management.
Usual channels including social media ones, they just stonewall you.
But coming from a collective on social media platforms might be more
forceful than individual initiatives. Perhaps we should try and reach
out to the Axis CEO on Twitter or Facebook?

I have also noted recently that IDFC First Bank, a bank that has in my
experience been the least discriminatory in providing banking services
to visually impaired people, has major accessibility issues with their
Android app. I have reached out and have received a positive initial
response. I haven't been able to reach out to any one in the tech
team, but there has been a callback from the general customer support
and there was no denial from their end.
Best,

Re: [AI] Accessibility issues with ICICI Bank website and mobile application

2022-07-24 Thread Mahesh S. Panicker
as for the ICICI Imobile Android app,
After logging in with fingerprint, on the bottom row, only 'Me' and
'Favorits' buttons are read out by TalkBack. There are 3 other
buttons, Scan and Pay, Status Tracking, and services. TalkBack is
unable to read those.
On the home page, many of the controls have to be long-pressed to be
activated, not working on a simple double tap. Similar issues on the
Credit Card management page as well. Not all controls work on a
doubletap.
Hope the ICICI team would listen to us and fix these issues.
I use a Samsung M52 5G running Android 12. Had similar issues on a
Nokia 6.1 earlier.

Hi there,
Appreciations for the initiative.
Tested the app on 1plus device and Would like to raise few concerns on the
I mobile android app.

1. after the authentication, 2 buttons are presented which is labelled as
interstitial and unlabelled button. These buttons must have the proper and
meaningful label.
2. unable to pay the credit card bill under the cards and forex section.
The pay current due button does not get the keyboard/gesture focus.

3. the links which are provided under the homepage must have the labels.
4. the users should have an option to change the session timeout to read
and understand the content on the page.

5. there should be no lag while entering the pin on the transaction page.
Hope the issues will be get fixed on the next update.
