No, we can submit our written submissions instead of appearing personally. However, proceedings at CCPD hardly yield any worthwhile result. They actually should also put in place video/audio conference facility for hearings. सादर / With thanks & Regards राजेश आसुदानी Rajesh Asudani सहायक महाप्रबन्धक AGM बाजार आसूचना ईकाई MIU भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक Reserve Bank of India नागपुर Nagpur 0712 2806846 President VIBEWA Co-Moderator VIB-India President DARE-Disability Advocacy, Research and Education A-pilll = Action coupled with Positivity, Interest, Love, Logic and laughter -Original Message- From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of sazid shaik Sent: 27 June 2019 15:30 To: AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning the disabled. Re: [AI] as bajaj fincer rejected my consumer loan
If they have an official policy of not giving loan to physically disabled, why they can't share it in public domain? Basically they don't have any such policy in their rule book. They don't have the courage to do so. Its their non official policy of relegating the physically disabled to third class citizens. Its high time that we should collectively hit at their backbone and change the things forever. My suggestion is that we all physically disabled, whoever is in need of any finance, should approach Bajaj Finserve for the same. Myself is thinking of purchasing a laptop. Am definitely going to find out their operation in my city. One can easily break a stick. But when many sticks are bind together instead of the sticks being broken the one who tries to break will be broken. warmly Leikhu Laishram On 6/7/17, Amit Patel wrote: > I have been using bajaj finance card for purchasing laptop, mobile > etc. for long. > Perhaps they didn’t know about my disability while issuing card. > But last year I got call from bajaj for personal loan and at that time > I wanted it so I applied but they denied after doing all the formality > on the ground of disability. > Was busy so didn’t do anything at that time. > > On 6/7/17, sazid shaik wrote: >> Dear friends, >> I am pasting their mail which they send to my mail id. >> >> Dear Sazid, >> Greetings from Bajaj Finserv! >> We regret the inconvenience that has been caused and appreciate your >> understanding and patience. >> With reference to your email and the discussion we had on 9493235007, >> we regret to inform you that the as per the company policy we are not >> able to provide loan to the physically disabled. >> Further as requested by you the email id for the next level of >> escalation is customerexperienceh...@bajajfinserv.in >> Assuring you of our best services always. >> Regards, >> Grievance Redressal >> Bajaj Finserv >> >> On 6/6/17, Kanchan Pamnani wrote: >>> Thanks Abhishek for sharing. Well, CCPD never receives any mails!! Police won't help either. Banking ombudsman is for banks. You may file a complaint with their head office, and if they do not remedy the issue, then approach Department of non-banking regulation RBI At cgmdnb...@rbi.org.in Or customer service department At khanolkars @rbi.org.in -Original Message- From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of sazid shaik Sent: Thursday, June 08, 2017 7:39 AM To: AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning the disabled. Dear friends Can we file case against this company in CCPD? If yes then please guide. Please discuss and come up with strategy to work in this regard. I am sure there are many NBFCs in India that are discriminating with our community. Dear friends, rejecting loan for disabled is not local concern it is a policy of this company. Just now also I got a call from bajaj head office, they told me that on the grounds of my disability they are rejecting my loan. They gave a suggestion that I can avail loan on my family members. I asked them to share their policy for not issuing loan for disabled. they told they won't share. Thanks and regards, sazid. Unless we raise our issues or report such things, no one would address. There is nothing called logical end. First I doubt if Bajaj Finserv really has such policy. If so, it could have been applied everywhere So our first approach has to be compile a few such cases where application was rejected only due to disability, and share that with management of the company. Way back in 2004, they had rejected my application for financing the PC, maybe got the wiff of my disability. -Original Message- From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of Amit Patel Sent: Wednesday, June 07, 2017 12:00 PM To: AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning the disabled. Dear all Greetings! My experience with Bajaj: They denied financing me the washing machine and refrigerator. They told me that they cannot finance disable person. Same thing I did, I asked written policy from the person. He told me that he can’t give me the same as it was not available with him at the moment. I requested him to get in email from his head office and show me the policy. He told me that he will not finance me. I called 100 numbers after some time police came in the shop. I explained everything to the police. The police was convince with my arguments and told him to finance me. I think this is not a local issue. Something must be done to teach the lesson to this company Regards, On 6/6/17, Kanchan Pamnani wrote: > Rajesh, > First we went through the Chief General Manager and the Department of > supervision and then by the time we reached the DG we had tired the RBI > into > understanding our problem. > This particular matter can be escalated and then lets see if we need a > circular or guidelines. > Lets hope it gets resolved at the local level. > I will of course write to the Chairman of the company. > Kanchan > > -Original Message- > From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf > Of Asudani, Rajesh > Sent: 06 June 2017 12:06 > To: AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning > the disabled. > Subject: Re: [AI] as bajaj fincer rejected my consumer loan > > Yes, of course. > Local and whimsical issue. > > Ideally, RBI should issue a non-discrimination circular for NBFCs on the > lines of banks, but who will persuade them? > Any present deputy governors your neighbours like in olden times? > Smile. > > I am writing to DNBR, let us see!! > > > > -Original Message- > From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf > Of Kanchan Pamnani > Sent: Tuesday, June 06, 2017 11:40 AM > To: 'AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning > the disabled.' > Subject: Re: [AI] as bajaj fincer rejected my consumer loan > > > Rajesh, Have you seen a single investment which asks if you are disabled? > There is no such question on the form and Obviously not because there is no > higher returns for the investments of the Disabled. for - they are very > happy to have my money. > Also from what I am reading on this list is that many visually impaired > people whose disability is apparent have been given loans. Rajesh, First we went through the Chief General Manager and the Department of supervision and then by the time we reached the DG we had tired the RBI into understanding our problem. This particular matter can be escalated and then lets see if we need a circular or guidelines. Lets hope it gets resolved at the local level. I will of course write to the Chairman of the company. Re: [AI] as bajaj fincer rejected my consumer loan
Is it mendatory to declare someone's physical disability while applying for a loan? If so, there should be specific guideline from RBI regarding the same because NBFCs and banks formulate their rules as per RBI regulations. And again, if Bajaj Finserve has a policy of not entertaining loan facilities to the physically disabled people they must have the same in their rule book. Please ask for an authentic hard copy. Re: [AI] as bajaj fincer rejected my consumer loan
Many a times, loan documents will not contain your disability certificate. They don't ask, and we don't tail. Whether kanchan has declared her disability while depositing with them, I don't know. Probably not. RBI should, ideally, on the lines of banks, issue instructions to NBFCs for non-discrimination. -Original Message- From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of Austin Pinto Sent: Monday, June 05, 2017 3:30 PM To: AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning the disabled. and i just spoke with Madhu Sharma and she also mentioned they took a loan from Bajaj Finserv for their sofa set late last year without any hassle. both Dinesh and Madhu went to shop and process the purchase in Gurgaon themselves. i think Bajaj has no clue of how deep they are digging the hole to bury themselves in.
