If you are working for M.phil or Ph.D. it is better to narrow your topic. Contact all state commissioners for Persons with disabilities for list of special schools and strength particulars. I am also doing my Ph.D. on "Public policy and empowerment of visually challenged-a study of Andhra Pradesh". Education of the visually impaired in Andhra Pradesh is one among the components of my study. So I can provide you information on the education of the visually challenged in AP after few months. Raghuramanji, I would be happy if ur research would be able to question? Can x special or hybrid or integrated school make my challenged daughter or sun capable like any other competent student at eh time of college in terms of language, personality, knowledge, confidence, dreams etc? If i was you, i would check how many successful professionals or artists these 3 systems have produced and probably try to answer which model is the best given family capabilities of the child. Specific to your question of listing the quantity of schools around the country? Probably, you will get the answer from NIVH or other organisations.
