Re: [AI] strange problem with e 63

2010-07-11 Thread Sameer

Dear Friend,

Sighted persons using mobiles without Talks also face the problem of Memory
Full though not as frequently as Talks users. The problem is not with Talks
but is due to multiple programs trying to use the limited RAM memory
simultaneously. Talks users face the Memory Full situation more often
because Talks is an additional program that they use.

A similar situation also happens when we use multiple programs
simultaneously on our desktops/ laptops. When multiple programs/ files are
opened, the computer slows down may become non-responsive. The Memory
Full message is the mobile equivalent of a non-responsive computer.

Re: [AI] strange problem with e 63

2010-07-11 Thread Arpit Jain
I searched online for a solution of this problem, and as Vikas sir has
pointed out that it's the problem of RAM and not the flash memory. For
the same, I installed software to monitor my RAM usage called
taskman and surprisingly, when I get the error of Memory full, it
shows that I still have around 35 MB free. This somewhat amazes me and
this makes me draw two possible conclusions:
Either there is a glitch in the software that I have installed, or
there is a bug in Symbian OS that nokia uses, which leads to false
identification of the status of RAM available.

Well, whatever the case be, I unfortunately have not found any
solutions as yet to this problem, though some would say, that restart
is as good as solution one can get and hardly takes a minute to
reboot.
