Re: [AI] Disability Commissioner's Office
Well said Rajesh. It's so funny that one person, because of his wrong judgement, brings in racism and others because of their herd mentality just follow without applying an ounce of their intellect. I strongly feel all those who haven't met the modest and humble moderator of this esteemed list viz. Mr. Harish Kotian, should really take the trouble to meet a gem of a person and a gentleman like him. Let us not take the moderator's comments personally. If we carefully observe and annalyze, they are always in the best interest of the smooth functioning of this list that we all benefit from so very much. I believe, if it was not for such an understanding, matured and caring moderator, this list would have blown-out and met with its end long, long before. Please let us all understand that it is not easy to moderate and manage such a huge list and let us take the little trouble to look at the moderator's comments objectively and not in a narrow-minded fashion. If still some people think that the moderator is being biased, I would request them to take up the challenge of moderating this list of more than 2,000 members and get a taste of that uphill and challenging task. And as humbly suggested by the moderator, let us stop this frivolous thread and move on with our lives. Just my two cents worth... No offence meant to anyone. Sincerely, Rishi. - Original Message - From: "Asudani, Rajesh" To: Sent: Wednesday, October 17, 2012 3:27 PM Subject: Re: [AI] Disability Commissioner's Office I wonder why regionalism is being needlessly added to the issue. But while a south indian is asking about a clarification, by mentioning that he's from chennai, he's asking that this list is a branch office? Come on? Remember friends, we are told by communication experts that our actual words comprise about only 7% of our total communication. If this is true then there might be possibilities for some miscommunication here. I don't see anything wrong with Raj bring this issue here. At the same time, we can't expect Mr. Pincha to read all the access India emails and address our individual concerns. Hey Selvi,, if you aren't going to consider that wherefrom the moderator belongs, then what is the logic of blaming him of being partial for the members of a particular region? And where did the Raj mention that he is from Chennai? For your information, I am from North India, and few days back I was scolded by moderator for reacting harsh on a south Indian member. Should I have conceived that since the moderator is south Indian (which I know beforehand) and that’s why doing partiality with me? Raj, you too make sarcastic comments on the list itself! The moderator's comments whether sarcastic or not, I don't know! But one thing is for sure that it was not at all a comment based on the narrow-minded regionalism, which according to me in fact, is very much visible from your pre-conceived attitude. You are simply trying to make mountain out of a mol! Is it a publicity stunt? Hey, do something spectacular and gain positive publicity and appriciation of people not through these kinds of hatred messages! Re: [AI] Disability Commissioner's Office
i do wonder what do you mean by third party messages? The subject raaj was asking clarification is with regard to disability. and that's no way going beyond the list's guidelines. If you moderate that message by telling it's beyond the list's guidelines, I don't think this is not the list for discussing disability related issues, then. While saksham is announcing their RNIB products available for sale, while helpdesk is announcing the vacancies, what's wrong in asking clarification about disability commission? I'm seriously confused with your hidden secrets aka justification of your decision with regard to this. Are you trying to say that we people shouldn't ask any clarifications? or, are you against disability commission? I guess you might've noticed a few others were also telling that those officials are being rude with them as well. In such case, why don't we discuss about it here? I dono whether I'm gona get banned out of this list or whatever, but I'm straight with my point. Modeerator or whomever it is, that was a loose talk for sure. asking a list member as is this a branch office of disability commission? If I was the moderator, I could've seriously gone for an apologise for that. You're acting like a politicians. rules are all for the poor but we politicians can do anything in India. eh? OK people, if I said something wrong, excuse me. but as per my view, the thing which was asked by raaj is not at all wrong and the way modeerator behaved is utterly wrong. Regards. Re: [AI] Disability Commissioner's Office
whether he's from south or north, east or west, I'm not going to accept whatever he said is correct. He should apologise for his loose talks. We, south indians are not partial. But as far as I've noticed, this list is being bit relaxed with it's rules to the north indians and being very rigid to the south indians. I was told many south indian list members' messages are not reaching the list and even after they are sending many complaining messages to the moderator. I can give you one example, Nagarajan from madurai said that his messages are not reaching the list. Likewise, I was told by many as their messages are not reaching. but they are getting all the list messages. I wonder whether south indian's messages are being filtered? I wonder why regionalism is being needlessly added to the issue. Well, to tell the truth, even the moderator himself is south Indian I opine he just said about branch office in a lighter vain. Re: [AI] Disability Commissioner's Office
All Let us now close this and continue with our lives. One thing to emphasise, there are so many representatives of various flora and organisations who are members of this family. We should not misuse this platform to target them. Secondly, members are spread all over and it is of no concern who belongs to where, by and large no one knows, at any rate it is irrelevant. No need to make any such parochial slants. I'm asking this because, I've lodged my banking complaint with them more than a month before and I was told that my case has been registered and the case number is "30/1102". Whenever I'm calling them to know the position of my case, to their phone number (011-23386154 Extension 19), an english unknown fellow is picking up, telling me something in hindi, and putting down the receiver rudely before I'm asking my next question.
