Re: [AI] Stopping jaws from reading sections leaving uniform tables and deleting images in docx
yes, it will give you the same tabular structure. regarding pdf to excel, you can convert it from the same ABBYY fine reader. Re: [AI] Stopping jaws from reading sections leaving uniform tables and deleting images in docx
Hello Yogeshji, Thank you for a different solution. My problem is that I need to maintain tables in it’s original tabular form when I am converting pdf to docx. And how about converting from pdf to excel. Will your suggested setting changes maintain the tabular presentation of data? I am asking these questions with out testing your method, but in case you know it please let know. regards On 9/28/13, Ekinath Khedekar wrote: > Hi > > I have converted a pdf file in to a word file. Re: [AI] Stopping jaws from reading sections leaving uniform tables and deleting images in docx
hi ekinath, no need to change jaws verbosity and all other settings of jaws. its up to you where do you want to keep jaws verbosity. you have to configure fine reader settings. open fine reader and in the tools menu, options ... (dialog) is there. go in that dialog. in this dialog, different tab sheets are there, like document tab sheet, read tab sheet, etc. here you have to go in the save tab sheet. now press tab key once and jaws will say editable copy. this is a layout field. change it to plane text by pressing down aero key. now press tab key to navigate on to keep picture check box and uncheck it by pressing spacebar. after unchecking it, navigate to the okay button and press spacebar. it will give you a document without unnecessary sections and pictures when you convert a document/image in microsoft word. this is a permonant setting and all future conversions will be without sections and images. please note, this setting will effect document/image which is converted into microsoft word formats such as rtf, doc, etc. On 10/3/13, Hozefa Tambawala wrote: > Tried repairing your JAWS application. > > On 10/3/13, Ekinath Khedekar wrote: >> Dear Uma, >> >> Appreciate your help, however those known options are also not working >> like jaws + Page down or jaws + end. >> >> In your first case, it says “select object press…” and in Mukeshji’s >> mehthod of jaws + end key, it only announces the line and column >> number. >> >> They should have kept page announcement setting separately. >> >> Assumiing you know the solution, I am also facing problem in listening >> or editingstuff by pressing f2 on excel. Re: [AI] Stopping jaws from reading sections leaving uniform tables and deleting images in docx
Dear Uma, Appreciate your help, however those known options are also not working like jaws + Page down or jaws + end. In your first case, it says “select object press…” and in Mukeshji’s mehthod of jaws + end key, it only announces the line and column number. They should have kept page announcement setting separately. Assumiing you know the solution, I am also facing problem in listening or editingstuff by pressing f2 on excel. JAWS only says “blank”. I use ABBY find reader. Through verbosity setting, jaws is not reading out sections and tables but it has stopped reading even page numbers which do not want. Re: [AI] Stopping jaws from reading sections leaving uniform tables and deleting images in docx
hello, while converting the pages with my adobe acrobat pro, it gives me the option whether to include images in output or not. so i simply tell acrobat to skip images and select the option text only. this removes all the graphics which can't be recognised by ocr. not sure whether it still reads the sections or text column etc as i don't have such document handy to test. so if you can send or share the same, i can try it out with it and let you know about the results. thanks, On 9/28/13, Ekinath Khedekar wrote: > Dear Uma, > > Thanks very much, but if i use jaws verbosity and stop it then it also > stops announcing page numbers. > > So there's anyway to know which page i am on? > > Object dletion worked, but would have liked a trick to delete all in > one shot as i've got 36 objects in the doc. > > > > On 9/28/13, Uma phago wrote: >> Hi Eki, >> 1. Dear Uma, Thanks very much, but if i use jaws verbosity and stop it then it also stops announcing page numbers. So there's anyway to know which page i am on? Object dletion worked, but would have liked a trick to delete all in one shot as i've got 36 objects in the doc. On 9/28/13, Uma phago wrote: > Hi Eki, > 1. Hi Eki, 1. Please mention which software was used for conversion. 2. Explore the software's settings to get rid of images during conversion. 3. Customize jaws to yourpreference for your documents using the jaws plus V keystrokes. 4. Select objects by pressing Ctrl plus shift plus O, which opens a list of images and enter on it and press delete key.
