Thanks for posting your concern.

Yes, just like Christian suggested, you can add this 
ad_group_criterion.negative = FALSE filter in the WHERE clause so that the 
negative keywords will not be included in the report.

logs, and requestId, that my colleague Ernie earlier requested?

If you haven't yet, you can enable logging by going to the Github documentation 
of your chosen client library. As an example, here is the logging guide for the 
Java client library.

Once enabled, you may then send the logs of your MediaService.get() request via 
the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may 
send the details directly to our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Hey Aryeh,

Thanks for looking into it. After signing in, I'm shown a list of all my 
accounts, and the information on whether the account is testing or not is

The first screen (list account IDs and names) wouldn't be possible with the 
test developer token. I can fetch all accessible accounts IDs (both testing 
and production) but when I try to fetch account info (name) for every 
account, the request fails for production accounts. I believe the 
production account IDs should not be listed with test developer tokens.

I tried using this metric before posting my issue here but it didn't work 
as I had expected.
This may be due to the fact that I am using the *segments.date* to segment 
my data.
I tested this by removing the segmentation. When I did that, the 
*ad_group_criterion.negative 
*seems to work fine.

Do you have any idea about being able to use both the 
*ad_group_criterion.negative 
*and the *segments.date* simultaneously?

Running API request agains inactive customer account?

Is it possible to call a criteria performance or account performance report 
API request for an account that is inactive?

We need to test our already fetched reports for specific customer accounts, 
however we get CUSTOMER_NOT_ACTIVE error.


Also, is possible to get a list of all not active customers via API?

Thank you for providing additional details about your concern regarding the 
differences between the AdWords API and Google Ads API's planning services.

Firstly, you may note that the Google Ads API's generate historical metrics 
feature should mirror more what is currently available in the Google Ads UI's 
Keyword Planner UI (see mapping section).

That said, we recommend that you compare the UI and the Google Ads API instead. 
If you find that there are significant discrepancies between the two, you may 
provide to our team the complete screenshot of the Keyword Planner view and 
also the complete request and response logs, with the request-id of your API 
request.

If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client 
libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you 
can access from this link.

You may then provide the requested details in this private thread, instead of

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to Google Ads API support. The case you are 
describing sounds very similar to what happens when you make test accounts. 
When you first make a test manager account that has no developer token 
capability and then you make a production MCC account and create a developer 
token in the production account, you can then use the token for the test 
account without any linkage between the accounts. Also, a company should only 
have one developer token. Feel free to get back to me.

change_event for gathering data within last year

Hello,

We need to get the last year's data on changes done on several google ads 
accounts.

But the difficulty is that the documentation says we must specify period 
*within 
last 30 days*
"*The WHERE clause on change_date_time is also required. It must specify a 
window within the past 30 days*".

Alternatives for us seem to be:

   - to press "download data" on every page via web interface (it seems a 
   bit painful and not all needed data there)
   - write a parser (time consuming and doesn't feel right)

What can be a workaround for our situation?

   How can I get equivalent results from the Google AdWords' 
TargetingIdeaService? My goal with using this API is to get an accurate 
number of the average number of searches per month for a specific keyword. 
The results I had gotten from the Google Ads API that I had sent over 
seemed unusually low for what I thought it was describing, were those 
accurate? I do not want a scale value like Google Trends produces. How can 
I do this with the new API?

Thanks for posting your concern.

Allow me to discuss first the UI, if you are asking for the workaround to 
improve downloading of data here, then you may reach out the product team via 
this link as it is outside of our scope.

As for workaround in the change_event of Google Ads API, I am afraid that you 
can only specify period within the last 30 days in the said report type. With 
this, I can raise a feature request to my team on what you are looking for on 
the below concern. You may just provide the sample use case why you need this 
so that I can proceed with creating this feature request.

I tried to access the google ads api and configured google-ads.yaml, but an

If you are looking for the equivalent service of AdWords API in Google Ads API, 
then I would suggest referring to this document.

Also, could you confirm if you tried comparing the results of 
TargetingIdeaService and GenerateHistoricalMetrics, and the low result was 
observed only in the Google Ads API? If you can provide the sample complete 
SOAP request and response logs for AdWords API and complete request and 
response logs with request ID of Google Ads API, it will be helpful in our 
investigation.

Hi Katerina,

I'm also from the AdWords / Google Ads API support team and allow me to assist 
you as well.

Regarding your concern "I believe the production account IDs should not be 
listed with test developer tokens.", could you confirm if what you meant is 
that, the Google Ads API should not list the production account IDs along with 
the test account IDs in the results of the list accessible accounts request? If 
yes, then it appears that the functionality works as intended, to list the 
Google Ads accounts where your user or email address has access to.

To avoid mixing the test and production accounts in the response, we recommend 
that you associate a different user / email address depending on which 
environment the account was intended for.

This way, if for example, user_product...@yourdomain.com has access only to 
production accounts, then using the OAuth2 credentials generated by this user 
in the listAccessibleAccounts request, should only return production accounts. 
The same applies if for example a user_t...@yourdomain.com has access to only 
test accounts.

Looking on the screenshot provided, I'm afraid that this isn't available in the 
API. We can raise a feature request for this; however, before raising such, 
could you provide us your use case as to how the availability of this field 
would impact your business need.

As an aside, you can actually use this guide to check if a certain UI field is 
available in the API. You can then use this guide when mapping AdWords API 
reports to Google Ads API resources.

Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to get a list 
of all not active customers via API. However, we already raised a feature 
request for this. With this, I would suggest keeping an eye on this blog as we 
will post any relevant updates when they become supported.

In addition, in order to make requests (retrieve reports, manage entities) your 
accounts will first need to be active and you can check out this guide on how 
to reactivate the said accounts.
