how to upload App Campaign HTML5 by Google Ads API

2022-05-26 Thread 李小康
Hi all,
I have a question about zip package upload.
Uploading a zip package using the MediaBundleAsset method will prompt "This
type of media cannot be uploaded through the Google Ads API."
so How do I upload a zip package of type app Campaign?
thanks

Re: Batch Jobs stuck on RUNNING state on GoogleAds API

2022-05-26 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi all,

I'm a colleague of Nadine's on the Google Ads API Team and I have some updates
on the points she highlighted earlier.

1. The issues with product groups that Geoff mentioned. I have a teammate who's
taken point on sorting that one out.
2. A few timeouts on our back-end that we're working through.
3. If an operation fails, the batch jobs retry it; that's what a batch job
should do. However, there are some types of errors we should not retry as the
result could be the job running for a very long time. We're working on solving
that one as well.

We've rolled out various fixes for these on the afternoons of May 24 and 25,
and have confirmed the batch job pipeline is looking much better, and we're
investigating to see where we can make further improvements.

One significant point everyone should be aware of is that you will still see
long running jobs if you are using any of the following operation types:

AssetGroupListingGroupFilterOperation
AssetGroupOperation
CampaignConversionGoalOperation
ConversionGoalCampaignConfigOperation
CustomConversionGoalOperation
CustomerConversionGoalOperation
CustomerOperation

These operations do not support partial failure , and as such, are not
supported in batch jobs and currently will lead to long running jobs. Please
avoid including any of the above operation types in your jobs, and instead use
GoogleAdsService.mutate with partial_failure set to false to execute those
operations. I'm updating our documentation to reflect this limitation, and we
are investigating validation checks to prevent adding these operations to a job.

In the meantime, if you are experiencing long running jobs that you started on
or after May 25, please continue to share those with us by clicking Reply
privately to author on this thread.

Many thanks,
Josh Radcliff, Google Ads API Team

Import Google Analytics goals into a Google Ads customer using the API

2022-05-26 Thread 'Gianluigi Oliva' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
As mentioned in the documentation, it is not possible to import Google
Analytics goals into a Google Ads account using the API but only via UI:

*Note: Analytics goals and transactions created in Google Analytics
profiles linked to this Google Ads account are returned with no tracking
code type. They have a status of HIDDEN if they haven't been imported into
Google Ads. The status of these conversion actions cannot be changed using
the API; they can only be imported using the Google Ads UI.*

Is there a way to perform this operation in an automated way? If not,
would it be possible to request this feature? I know it is a very simple
process. However, I am creating an application to manage many Google Ads
accounts, and performing this operation for each account manually doesn't
scale. If it could be automated it would be great.

Hey there,

Thank you for the reply.

I was asking this question with respect to this Account Selection Screen

Let's say I want to filter out the accounts here based on their statuses.
Does Google provide a way to implement this filtering? How can I make sure
that the user only sees the correct options here which will not lead to an
error?

RE: Reporting time zone

2022-05-26 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API Forum.

With regard to your concern, please refer to my answer below:

Could you please explain how reporting is related to accounts time zone?
Is the data returned via the API in the account time zone or in some other time
zone (for example, GMT)?

-To answer the 2 questions in general, the timezone of the API response will
depend on the timezone of the Google Ads account targeted by the API
transactions.

We are extracting our client data and we constantly see a slight discrepancy
between the data received through the API and on the Google Ads UI. Could this
be related to the time zone?

However, to investigate this and it would be helpful if you can provide the
complete API logs within the format of the request and response logs with
request-id and login-customer-id that generated on your end. This information
helps our team to check why this discrepancy between the data received through
the API and on the Google Ads UI are occurring. If you haven't yet, logging
can be enabled by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex.
Java) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this link. You can
provide it via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not
available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

Re: Getting Customer Aggregate Data

2022-05-26 Thread Prototype.co
Hi,

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I confirm that I want to get metrics
aggregated on customer level, per campaign types.

So far, the only working solution we found was to set the
summary_row_setting of SearchGoogleAdsStreamRequest to "SUMMARY_ROW_ONLY"
and run the query on the campaign resource. However, this way we need one
query each for every item in the enum AdvertisingChannelType. As you can
see, this is far from ideal, as we end up with 11 queries only for this
dataset per client. Considering we have other queries to run as well, and
many clients to run queries for, this adds up the request count very fast.

Do you happen to know of a better solution?

Hi,

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API Forum.

With regard to your concern, could you please confirm if you mean that you want
to get the metrics aggregated per campaign types. Unfortunately, there is no
direct way to get this information that you are looking for. However, the
workaround here is to create multiple reports using the campaign report. Then,
for each report the campaign.advertising_channel_type is filtered by a specific
enum corresponding to a specific campaign type.

ETAS deprecation and Ad Customizer Feeds

2022-05-26 Thread Anahi Martinez
Hi Google team

I am raising a question on behalf of our clients regarding ETAs, they would
like to know if existing ETAs would still be able to use Ad Customizers
from feeds after June 30th, we received your Update via blog posts but
there is no mention of this, I know that Customizer feeds are not being
deprecated (at the moment) so I would hope this would not be an issue, but
can you please confirm?

As a side note, we are already working on migrating both ETAS and Ad
Customizer Feed items to RSAs and Customizer attributes but we may take a
little while to complete this task.

Thanks again!

Re: How to get metrics for each day

2022-05-26 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Charles,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Kindly note that while Search can send multiple paginated requests to download
the entire report, SearchStream sends a single request and initiates a
persistent connection with the Google Ads API regardless of report size, and
provides improved performance over paging, especially for bigger reports. For
example, when a report consists of 100,000 rows for example, then 1 request of
searchStream will get 1 continuous stream of response.
SearchStream(SearchGoogleAdsStreamRequest) returns all rows that match the
search stream query along with the setting SUMMARY_ROW_WITH_RESULTS options.
For streaming examples using the client library, you may check this page.

In addition, you may use a finite date range composed of core date segments in
your where clause of your GAQL.

Let me know if this doesn't help, or more details on your use case.

Regards,

Yasar

Re: End Date for Customizer Attributes

2022-05-26 Thread Anahi Martinez
Hi there

This feature is not available via UI for Customizer attributes, only for Ad
Customizer Feeds, but it is very important for us to keep this feature,
please do let me know if there is any chance this feature may be coming up
soon!

Thanks!

Bad search volumes

2022-05-26 Thread Lukas Sekerak
Hello,

I used the Keyword plan flow to Generate historical metrics.
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/keyword-planning/generate-historical-metrics

I called keywordPlanCampaigns:mutate with this an input:
[{"create":{"keyword_plan_network":"GOOGLE_SEARCH","geo_targets":[{"geo_target_constant":"geoTargetConstants/1021048"}],"keyword_plan":"customers/xxx/keywordPlans/xxx","name":"campaign

xxx","language_constants":[],"cpc_bid_micros":"100"}}]

Geotarget location is 1021048 - Charlotte, North Carolina, United States.

For this input, I got 40500 Search volume. That search volume looks
strange. I tried the same setup for location 2840 - the whole United
States and I got the same Search volume.

It looks like you have some fallback to the location - United States.

I tried the same setup at Keyword planner and got different results.

Why did this happen and how can I fix it?

Thank you

Creating a test account

2022-05-26 Thread Bernardo Benini Fantin
Hello,

Currently I have created a manager account with the pourpose of testing how
the API works. I do not know if my manager account is a test account or
not, since there's no red label next to my profile photo on my Google Ads
panel, and when I access *Tools and Settings* > *API Central *I see my
developer token access is active for "access to the test account" and my
Level of Access is "Test account". So I am lost to where I'll be billed or
not because the panel is abiguous for me.

Also, I don't know how to create a test account associated with my manager
account and I haven't been able to find the API documentation.

To be honest, I am quite lost with all this process. Many of the links I
click within Google's docs for the Ads API take me to my panel instead of a
useful page where I can actually take action, and I am not taking into
account that sometimes you're redirected to the AdWords, what makes things
even harder.

I appreciate any help in how to set up my development/test environment for
using the API.

Many thanks in advance.

Looking for API call to estimate clicks & conversions

Hi,

While trying to create a campaign from the UI, I see that on the right
there is a section that provides us an astimate of clicks & conversions
based on the budget.

Is there any API call that can do the same?

Reporting time zone

2022-05-26 Thread 'Egor Manuylov' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello team,

Could you please explain how reporting is related to accounts time zone?
Is the data returned via the API in the account time zone or in some other
time zone (for example, GMT)?

We are extracting our client data and we constantly see a slight
discrepancy between the data received through the API and on the Google Ads
UI. Could this be related to the time zone?

Time zone of our client account GTM-04:00

Re: remove multiple assets in one query

2022-05-26 Thread Evgeniy Lepikov
upd for clarification

My goal is to find a way to remove all the assets associated with a
particular ad. I.e. to get the same result that I get in the google panel
interface by manually deleting the assets inside the group.
sample image

As AssetOperation

 does
not support delete operations, I am looking for a way to do this via
AdGroupAdOperation if possible for my ad type.

Re: remove multiple assets in one query

2022-05-26 Thread Evgeniy Lepikov
Thank you for help!
I really confused the concepts of assets and ads. Thank you for clarifying
this point. Since there is no way to remove assets, I tried removing ad.
The first question is, do I understand correctly that deleting ad will
delete all the associated assets?
And second - when I try to delete ad I get an error

error_code {
ad_group_ad_error: AD_TYPE_CANNOT_BE_REMOVED
}
message: "Cannot remove an adgroup ad with this ad type."

So the ad type is
*APP_AD*
Is this a limitation of the API or can it be removed?

In the end, my task is to remove one or more ads from a ad_group with
several ads in it. Is it possible?

How to get customer status

2022-05-26 Thread san...@knorex.com
Hi,

In Adwords console, this customer id "346-005-2056", it's showing:
"Account budget exhaustedYour account budget has either reached, or has
nearly reached, its spending limit. To ensure that your ads keep running,
increase your spending limit or create a new budget."

How to get customer status? There is no such attribute in here:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v9/customer_query_builder

Re: Unable to create new page feed via GG API

2022-05-26 Thread san...@knorex.com
Hi,

I tried to remove field_id, till not working.

this customer id.

500 server errors since moving to the latest google api

2022-05-26 Thread CUBED Data
(How do I format code in these?)

We have recently moved from the old googleads:
https://github.com/googleads/googleads-python-lib to the new google-ads:
https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-python , and have been using the
new Google API to return our Adwords data.

We had been using the old Adwords API for over 5 years and rarely - if ever
- recieved errors from the server other than the occasional "time out".

But since moving over, in the last couple of months we've been getting a
handful of 500 server side errors. Below is the stack trace. We run this
command for all clients every day, and when we get this error we just run
it again and it works.

Any help would be greatly appreicated:

Re: Account Link

2022-05-26 Thread lezhne...@gmail.com
Hello! I found this conversation as I am working on shopping campaigns.
Is it possible to link an existing merchant account to google ads account
over API (as of now)?
