Re: API developer token taking crazy long

2012-05-22 Thread Snow Globe
Hello,

We have been waiting for nearly 4 months as well, posting on this forum,
sending 7 or 8 emails to adwords api token email address and not getting a
single answer.

If the team does not like our project, why not simply reject our
application?

Re: API Developer Token "Pending Approval" now at 3 months

2012-05-11 Thread Snow Globe
Hello,

We have been facing the same issue. We have had the time to completely
update our website and our project since we asked for a developer token in
february so we have sent 7 or 8 emails to the team and to 3pcompliance
(another email in the adwords API T&Cs) to keep them updated. After all, we
don't want an old version of the project to be "accepted" and a new version
to be refused 5 minutes later.

No one is answering. We are now sending registered letters to several
Google employees and we will keep on pushing until we get an answer. We are
not very pleased about putting so much energy and time into this but what
else can we do, since 2 major projects of our small business rely on the
token approval?

Someone at Google should do the "right thing".

Re: Adwords API pending approval, Can I use my developer Token?

2012-05-02 Thread Snow Globe
Thank you for sharing this

I've also tried for weeks not to worry too much but I have had to stop
working with a person I wanted to employ because of the 8/9 weeks complete
silence from the anonymous "adwords-apitoken" email. Who knows how long
this silence can last? 3 months? 6 months? 1 year? It is sad and absurd and
I will do my best sure that the right people at Google know about this.
Something needs to be fixed: I received 1 call from adwords team in Dublin
today, 1 other call from the Adsense team and no one can answer my 8 emails
about a critical issue? There are some very smart people working at Google
and I think they will see that their is a serious resource allocation issue
here.

Will let you know if I make any progress

Cheers

Re: Adwords API pending approval, Can I use my developer Token?

2012-05-02 Thread Snow Globe
Hello Anash,

We have still no news at all.

- We have sent 7 or 8 emails to adwordsapi-tok...@google.com (I am not
counting anymore)
- We have been posting many times on this forum
- We are not the V3 of the product for which need access to the API
(powerpoint presentation sent to adwordsapi-tokens + 3p compliance on 25th
of april)
- We have now asked 5 Google employees (including you) to email "API
approval" team and it seems the answers given to them was something like
"work in progress" (we never saw the answer ourselves).
- We have had to stop our recruitment process because of this issue (this
is obviously the most important point - but does anyone care?)
- We are adwords certified, speak at adwords seminar (I am actually
speaking on the 7th of may, as requested by Google inc. - let's hope no one
discusses the API)
- We have adapted our product line to make sure we comply at 100% with
adwords API terms and conditions.
- We have noticed that many people are in the same situation (well it just
takes a visit on the forum).

So what else can we do?
The people in charge of approving API access have put in a desperate
situation and have completely ignored us for months. We were just expecting
answers, solutions and we were ready to adapt to any request.

- Do we need to initiate legal action (we have objective proof from
partners using MCCs that tokens can be approved in much less time)?
- Do we need to send 15 registered letters to different Google employees to
make them aware of this situation.
- Do we need to use network and connections within Google to make sure that
Google top management knows about this (it will take a couple of phone
calls but it is a shame to have to use such methods and disturb people that
have nothing to do with API tokens within Google's organisation - these are
methods used in corrupted organisations as far as I know)?
- Do we need to get a token via Odesk (or any other developer platform)? We
have been offered by several "freelance" developers to use a "adwords API
token" they had already used for other clients (once again, if you need
proof of this, I can email it to you). Yes, there is now a black market for
developer tokens.

Thank you again for taking the time to get back to us - I am sorry that we
all have to waste so much time and energy on this issue,
Benoit

Re: Adwords API pending approval, Can I use my developer Token?

2012-04-30 Thread Snow Globe
Hello Anash

Thank you for getting back to me. MCC account number is 334 719 5535

Please make sure that the team considers the V3 of our projects sent to
their email on the 25th of april.
- Our project has evolved since we first asked for a token (early february)
- We have made sure that we fully respect the API T&Cs (we do not offer any
kind of competitive analysis anymore as it required using tools that scrap
the internet) as the API is vital to our new projects (we now focus on
building tools for our clients).
- We can send direct requests from existing (and hopefully) future clients
who have been waiting to test our solution.

A restricted access would do (limited number of units) but we are Adwords
Seminar Leaders, Adwords Certified Partners and we need to work, experiment.
Cheers
Benoit

I did send the latest powerpoint presentation of our project to

Re: API Token - pending approval

2012-04-26 Thread Snow Globe
Hello Anash,

Thank you for your answer.
We must have sent 6/7 emails to adwordsapi-tok...@google.com. We have sent
a new one yesterday
We have asked 4 persons we work with at Google to ask them as well (they
were kind enough to do so).
We have read about 20 times the API terms and conditions to make sure we
have done everything right.
We have posted on this forum several times (that is easy to check)

We have never received a direct answer. The persons we know at Google told
us that our application "was being taken care of". That is all the
information we received so far.

Our next step is to ask our clients to contact the API team. We have
stopped working with one person so far because of this issue and have had
to stop a recruitment process.

We could at least get a limited access to continue working on our projects.
We have remained polite and constructive but isn't this kind of behavior
abusive?

We will use all means to get access as our jobs depend on this.
I hope someone understands.
Best.

is not always easy to get an answer from Google.

On the same boat. We have been waiting for nearly 2 months and have sent
many emails, posted many messages, asked local Google people to help us and
we are not giving up (we can't or we all lose our jobs).

We adwords certified, analytics qualified, etc. we spend 100% of our time
and R&D on adwords and analytics. We have to let go 1 person already
because the API token waiting approval so, yes, this is a very serious
issue.

We have 1 question: since we have sent our first application, our project
has evolved (because we work hard with whatever we had: automated reports,
etc. and have been able to set-up new products) and we would like to know
how we can communicate the latest version of our project to the API team.

Should we use adwordsapi-tok...@google.com? The answer may seem obvious but
despite all our attempts to have a constructive dialogue with
adwordsapi-tok...@google.com, we hardly get any answer.

Thank you,
SG

API Token - pending approval

2012-04-15 Thread Snow Globe
Hello,

Please take in consideration the posts from people that are still waiting
for their developer token to be approved.

This can be truely critical issue for our businesses.

I can only speak for our application but:
We have done our very best to make 100% sure that we are compliant with the
adwords API terms & conditions (we have actually suppressed some of our
products and have sent a new detailed application early march).
We need our token to be approved to continue working (we cannot hire one
person as long as our token is not approved)
We have been waiting for over 8 weeks in total
We have not received any feedback from Google to let us know what should be
done to make sure that our application is approved.
We are adwords qualified partners, Google analytics qualified and the local
Google team has recently asked us lead some adwords seminars (please get in
touch if you need to verify this information).
We simply need to use the API to provide better service to our clients as
we are trying to develop our agency. Our direct competitors have access to
the API.

We are doing our best to have a constructive attitude and work as
"partners" with Google but this situation makes us feel like we should
using lawyers, registered letters, etc. to get the attention of the Google
API team. Isn't this absurd?

Thank you again for your time and please try to get back to us.

Re: Adwords API token pending approval for over 1 month

2012-03-28 Thread Snow Globe
Hello,

We have now been in discussion with adwordsapi-tokens *AT* google.com for
over 5 weeks and we are still waiting for approval.

We are an adwords qualified partner, google analytics qualified, part of
the local Google agency program, have been discussing directly with google
about making presentations there, have worked for months on an application
which requires access to the API, we have recently sent a fully revised
application to make sure that we are now 100% compliant with adwords API
terms and conditions and

we are still waiting for an answer.

If there is still an issue: let us know what we need to fix.

Considering that access to the API is critical for us (our business, our
jobs - yes, it is really important), we really hope a human being reads
this message and gets back to us.

Best regards,
Ben
