Re: locations are duplicated

2024-07-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

As per provided information, I could see that you are not using Google Ads API
to upload the locations. As UI related issues are handled by the Google Ads
Product support team, I would recommend that you reach out to the Google Ads
Product support team as they are better equipped to address your concern.
Please note that our team can only assist with the technical queries/concerns
related to the Google Ads API.

Hi,

After verifying the account, it is observed that these ad IDs (696813605487,
696865206934, 696820922805, 696854299438, 696871205437, 696843022005,
696943388597, 31229365, 696931640120, and 696922107809) are not available. That
is the reason you're not able to retrieve these ad IDs via the API.

Kindly note that if ad Ids is present in the Google Ads account (UI), then only
you will be able to retrieve it via the Google Ads API.

Additionally, could you please tell us using which account ID you've retrieved
those ad IDs from the tracking template and the {creative} variable?

I have used this query

Hello, you misunderstood, this list of locations is in the documentation in
a csv file:
https://developers.google.com/static/google-ads/api/data/geo/geotargets-2024-06-28.csv.zip

there are duplicate locations in this file, see the example above.

Sorry, that is not what I asked, I'll rephrase.
I want to delete manager accounts or client accounts through the platform
I'm building using google ads API.
So what I'm asking is, is there any API that supports account removal, just
like account creation?

locations are duplicated

2024-07-11 Thread Szymon Skarbek
Hello, we have a query regarding the list of locations available via the
following link: https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/data/geotargets

We have noticed that some locations are duplicated, despite having a
different ID. However, the other details remain the same. This is just a
partial list (in fact, there are numerous instances of this occurring):

1.
1005385 Luxor Luxor,Luxor,Luxor Governorate,Egypt 21470 EG City Active
9112326 Luxor Luxor,Luxor Governorate,Egypt 21470 EG City Active
9112327 Luxor Luxor,Luxor Governorate,Egypt 21470 EG City Active

2.
1006912 Manchester Manchester,England,United Kingdom 20339 GB City Active
9197140 Manchester Manchester,England,United Kingdom 20339 GB City Active

3.
9185764 Rengali Rengali,Rengali,Odisha,India 20465 IN City Active
9185770 Rengali Rengali,Odisha,India 20465 IN City Active
9185979 Rengali Rengali,Odisha,India 20465 IN City Active
9186030 Rengali Rengali,Odisha,India 20465 IN City Active
9186080 Rengali Rengali,Odisha,India 20465 IN City Active
9186083 Rengali Rengali,Odisha,India 20465 IN City Active
9186096 Rengali Rengali,Odisha,India 20465 IN City Active
9186160 Rengali Rengali,Odisha,India 20465 IN City Active

Could you kindly advise why this is happening and how we should determine
which location ID to select in such cases?

Re: UploadOfflineConversion: How to send ConversionDateTime in click conversion

2024-07-11 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Please find the answers for your questions below:

1. Google Ads uses the Google Click Identifier (GCLID) to track clicks and
associate them with conversions. While Google Ads does not store the GCLID
itself in your account data, it uses the associated metadata, including
timestamps, to determine when the click occurred.

2. Google Ads records the exact timestamp when a click occurs. This timestamp
is in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). When you upload a conversion, you
provide a conversionDateTime. This value can be in any timezone, but it must be
formatted correctly and should ideally be in UTC for consistency. If you
provide a timezone offset, Google Ads will convert the conversionDateTime to
UTC before comparing it with the click timestamp. If your conversion timestamp
(2024-07-09 10:30:47+00:00) is correctly later than the click timestamp
(2024-07-09 09:57:47+00:00), then there should be no CONVERSION_PRECEDES_EVENT
error unless there was an issue with the timezone conversion or the recorded
click timestamp. I would recommend you to kindly refer to the
''conversion_date_time" guide for more detailed information.

In order to investigate your issue further, kindly provide us with the complete
API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header)
generated at your end to better assist you further.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to
enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging
via the curl command by using the -i flag.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct
private reply to this email.

As per my understanding of the API documentation and replies on the threads

Request you to please help us understand and resolve this issue.

Thanking you in anticipation!

Re: not able to create custom conversion goals in google ads version 17 via rest api

2024-07-11 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

You can use the following query to check the link between the campaign "Zyper
Test Campaign with GOALS for Max conversion ROAS" and the conversion goal
through campaign_conversion_goal resource.

SELECT campaign_conversion_goal.campaign, campaign_conversion_goal.category,
campaign_conversion_goal.origin, campaign_conversion_goal.biddable,
campaign.id, campaign.name
FROM campaign_conversion_goal WHERE campaign.advertising_channel_type = 'SEARCH'

{
      "campaign": {
        "resourceName": "customers/3300782374/campaigns/21449025537",
        "name": "Zyper Test Campaign with GOALS for Max conversion ROAS",
        "id": "21449025537"
      },
      "campaignConversionGoal": {
        "resourceName":
"customers/3300782374/campaignConversionGoals/21449025537~SIGNUP~WEBSITE",
        "campaign": "customers/3300782374/campaigns/21449025537",
        "category": "SIGNUP",
        "origin": "WEBSITE"
      }
    },

You can try making a request using the Search or SearchStream by passing the
customer Id. Also, you can use Query Builder to create your query and Query
Validator to validate your query. I hope this helps, let me know how this goes
on your end.

Account Deletion or Removal

2024-07-11 Thread Bimal Ram
Hi Team,

I would like to know the Google Ads API service through which I can delete
or set the status of an account to canceled or disabled.
Is there any methods to permanently delete an account from google ads
through API.

Thank you, Regards

But there are no new assets come.
Is it only working in the running campaign with some spend.

Re: UploadOfflineConversion: How to send ConversionDateTime in click conversion

2024-07-11 Thread Vogels
Ok, two questions:

- How does Google Ads determine the time between a click (GCLID) and the
conversionDateTime value (if it does not store GCLID like you mentioned) to
generate a (partial failure) error like CONVERSION_PRECEDES_EVENT? What
timestamp (or datetime value) does it use and does it use a timezone offset?
- I uploaded a conversionDateTime of "2024-07-09 12:30:47+02:00" (UTC time
with GMT+2 timezone suffix) that resulted in a CONVERSION_PRECEDES_EVENT
partial failure error. The click that resulted in this particular
conversion happened approximately 33 minutes prior to the conversion at
this datetime. Why did I get this error? If the conversionDateTime value
was incorrect, what is the expected value? Either UTC time with a timezone
suffix or local time (e.g. "2024-07-09 12:30:47" becomes "2024-07-09
14:30:47+02:00" due to the the +2 hour offset) with a timezone offset of
'+00:00' or +'02:00'?

[Urgent] - Getting Basic Level API Access for Google Ads

2024-07-10 Thread Dylan Silverman
Hello,

I recently submitted a request for upgrading to basic API access for my
Google Ads account (ID: 693-626-0305). I wanted to reach out to ask if
this request can be expedited please. I have a meeting with a
customer/agency that wants to see a demo of the tool by Monday. If I get
access prior to the end of the week I will be able to build a prototype in
time. Any help speeding up the approval process would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Dylan

RE: not able to create custom conversion goals in google ads version 17 via rest api

2024-07-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Based on the information provided, I understand that you are not able to create
the custom conversion goals from version 17 using the Google Ads API. Kindly
note that you have provided code and it doesn't contain the error message. In
order to investigate your issue further, kindly provide us with the complete
API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header)
generated at your end to better assist you further.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to
enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging
via the curl command by using the -i flag.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct
private reply to this email.

shopping_performance_view problem

2024-07-10 Thread Endre Kovacs
Hi!
In the last few days I have been running scripts in Google Ads. Scripts
worked, but only for queries in the shopping_performance_view table it
always returns an empty result table after SELECT. For example, it
retrieves the data from the campaign, costumer or asset_group_asset tables
just fine, but it doesn't return any results for shopping_performance_view
queries. Since this table takes data mainly from GMC at product level, I
thought that this might be the problem. But I got the admin rights to GMC
and the situation hasn't changed anyway. I tried another Google Ads
account, but it didn't work properly there either. It's probably me, but
why it's only shopping_performance_view I don't know. If you have
encountered such a problem, any advice would be welcome.
Best regards: Endre

RE: facing issues in building the .net solution for google ads that was downloaded from the github

2024-07-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

I would recommend you to check here for the required configuration for the .NET
client library. If that doesn't help, then I would recommend that you reach out
to the .NET client library owner by filing an issue in the issue tracker on the
Issues tab of your client library on GitHub, so that they can provide guidance
on it.

Facing issues in building the .net solution for Google ads that was downloaded from the github

2024-07-10 Thread anu varghese

Hi Team

I had downloaded .net code for Google ads solution from the GitHub. The
version of the library used in the code was v17.

I was previously using v14 and this has now been depreciated. So I am
forced to do the migration now. Unfortunately this solution doesn't seem to
be supported in vs 2019. Hence I now use vs 2022 to build the code.

While building this code my system goes to an extremely slow pace and even
get stuck at some point. I waited for nearly 30 mins for this code to get
build. Could you please help me understand what might have gone wrong from
my side which is resulting in this dead slow pace for building the code.

Thank you in advance

Re: google ads tag & uploading enhanced conversions via api as conversion adjustment

Hi,

Thank you for the assistance. I think this is the approach we have had
earlier and still got the error. Just to clarify, we don't get any errors
via the API, but in Google Ads UI only. But we will try once again and get
back to you with logs if this still doesn't solve the issue.

Inconsistent reporting for Demand Gen campaigns

2024-07-09 Thread Colin Dellow
Hi,

when I try to pull a list of Demand Gen campaigns (following the
instructions at
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/demand-gen/reporting), I
only see a single campaign:

curl -s
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v17/customers/redacted/googleAds:search
-XPOST -H 'Content-type: application/json' -H 'login-customer-id: redacted'
-H 'developer-token: redacted' -H 'Authorization: Bearer redacted' -d
'{"query":"SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name FROM campaign WHERE
campaign.advertising_channel_type = DEMAND_GEN "}' | jq .
{
  "results": [
{
  "campaign": {
"resourceName": "customers/redacted/campaigns/redacted",
"name": "PH | DGEN | RTG | US",
"id": "redacted"
  }
}
  ],
  "fieldMask": "campaign.id,campaign.name",
  "queryResourceConsumption": "68"
}

However, there are several other demand gen campaigns in this account. This
leads to discrepancies when we break out by campaign. For example, if we
report on cost by using the `customer` view, we get $X. If we report by
using the `campaign` view, we get $Y, where $Y is less than $X.

In https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/zme_YGmalfE/m/3ymFmiK6AQAJ, a
similar question was asked. The support staff said:

"Kindly note that retrieving campaign information for campaign type "Demand
Gen" and its subtype "Demand Gen product feed" is not supported in the Google
Ads API ."

Is it the case that only some demand gen campaigns can be reported on? If
so, which ones? And if so, can you please update
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/demand-gen/reporting to
make this more clear?

Thanks!

Re: UploadOfflineConversion: How to send ConversionDateTime in click conversion

2024-07-09 Thread Vogels
Hi,

I also encountered an issue with *conversionDateTime* in the
customers.uploadClickConversions
call:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v17/ClickConversion?hl=en#conversion_date_time

The documentation states the value should be: The date time at which the
conversion occurred. Must be after the click time. The timezone must be
specified. The format is "-mm-dd hh:mm:ss+|-hh:mm", for example,
"2019-01-01 12:32:45-08:00".

I'm assuming the API expects a *UTC* date time (i.e. Date() or Date.now()
in JavaScript, transformed to the string format) followed by a timezone
offset suffix (e.g. '+02:00' for 'GTM+2'), but the documentation does not
explicitly state this. I tried sending a conversion with a
conversionDateTime in UTC time including a '+02:00' timezone offset suffix
(for Central European Summer Time) but received the following error:

"The imported event has a conversion_date_time that precedes the click.
Make sure your conversion_date_time is correct and try again.",

Also, in what time does Google Ads store the *click* itself? Does it use
the same format as *conversionDateTime*?

Thanks!

With regards to this concern, to know more about *"variable "conversion" in
conversion.getDateTime()." *in Google Ads API. You can check this
documentation conversion_date_time

 and Upload ClickConversion

 for
more information on this.

{'error': 'invalid_grant', 'error_description': 'Bad Request'})

Why wont this work on a linode server???
I have a normal domain with sub domain where the google search console api
connection works fine but the google ads api doesn't.
Its setup with ssh and everything else works fine.

Is there someone that could help. We tried all the tings previously
mentioned in this thread...
I can share the code if needed.

Regards,
Trespaan

Re: google ads tag & uploading enhanced conversions via api as conversion adjustment

2024-07-09 Thread Anni Salo
Hi,

Indeed, we are looking to use *order_id* (transaction id) instead of Gclid.
But, this will cause us getting an error that we are sending conversions
too late (which we are not - confirmed!). The troubleshooting instruction
say that this might happen if we do not provide the conversion timestamp
with the payload.

So I am looking to have an example of a payload where we use order_id
instead of Gclid, but still also include the conversion timestamp (in
addition to adjustment timestamp) to prevent the aforementioned error.

[image: Screenshot 2024-07-09 at 18.02.43.png]

Thanks in advance for your assistance,

Anni

RE: find my userid or email id

2024-07-09 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

You can retrieve the user ID and email address via the Google Ads API using the
customer_user_access report. Kindly check the below query:

SELECT customer_user_access.user_id, customer_user_access.email_address,
customer_user_access.access_role,
customer_user_access.access_creation_date_time,
customer_user_access.inviter_user_email_address FROM customer_user_access

I would suggest you refer to the Managing User Access document for more
details. Additionally, you can utilize the Google Ads Query Builder and Query
Validator to build and validate the queries for retrieving the data.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

As per provided information, I understand that you are facing an issue while
retrieving the data using Google Ads API. In order to assist your issue
further, kindly provide us with the complete API logs (request and response
with request-id and request header) generated at your end and uncropped UI
screenshot by highlighting the fields that you are trying to retrieve.

If you get campaign_conversion_goal based on custom_conversion_goal

2024-07-09 Thread xiaochuan li
hi team

I have now successfully linked custom_conversion_goal to a specific
campaign by modifying conversion_goal_campaign_config.
Sample Code
```python
conversion_goal_campaign_config_service = client.get_service(
"ConversionGoalCampaignConfigService")
conversion_goal_campaign_config_operation = client.get_type(
"ConversionGoalCampaignConfigOperation")
conversion_goal_campaign_config.resource_name =
"customers/xxx/conversionGoalCampaignConfigs/xxx"
conversion_goal_campaign_config.custom_conversion_goal =
"customers/x/customConversionGoals/x"
client.copy_from(
conversion_goal_campaign_config_operation.update_mask,
protobuf_helpers.field_mask(None, conversion_goal_campaign_config._pb)
)
conversion_goal_campaign_config_service.mutate_conversion_goal_campaign_configs(
customer_id=customer_id, operations
=[conversion_goal_campaign_config_operation]
)
```
However, the custom_conversoin_goal added by modifying
conversion_goal_campaign_config will display an unnecessary default custom
conversion goal in the UI interface.
[image: Snipaste_2024-07-09_17-45-20.png]
I don't need goals other than custom, so I need to delete them. And I have
successfully deleted them by comparing the campaign_conversion_goal of two
campaigns with the same custom_conversion_goal and modifying the biddable.
The sample code is as follows
```python
campaign_conversion_goal_service = client.get_service(
"CampaignConversionGoalService")
campaign_conversion_goal_operation = client.get_type(
"CampaignConversionGoalOperation")
campaign_conversion_goal = campaign_conversion_goal_operation.update
campaign_conversion_goal.resource_name = f"customers/{customer_id}
/campaignConversionGoals/x~{category}~{origin}"
campaign_conversion_goal.biddable = biddable
client.copy_from(
campaign_conversion_goal_operation.update_mask,
protobuf_helpers.field_mask(None, campaign_conversion_goal._pb)
)
campaign_conversion_goal_response =
campaign_conversion_goal_service.mutate_campaign_conversion_goals(
customer_id=customer_id, operations=[campaign_conversion_goal_operation]
)
```
However, this will bring a problem, that is, I must know in advance which
campaign uses the custom_conversion_goal I need, so that when I use this
custom_conversion_goal, I can query the biddable in the
campaign_conversion_goal and delete the default custom_conversion_goal. So,
if I want to directly obtain the campaign_conversion_goal information
through the condition of custom_conversion_goal.name = xxx, how should I do
it?

Find my userid or email id

2024-07-09 Thread Chandan Sharma

Dear Google Ads API Community,

I'm working on a project where I need to programmatically find my User ID
or email ID using the Google Ads API. Specifically, I need to identify
Customer IDs for which I have administrative access.

Currently, I can retrieve a list of accessible Customer IDs, but this
includes accounts where I am not an admin. I also have access to
information about admin, including their User IDs and emails for this list
of accessible list of customer . If there's a method to determine my own
User ID or email ID programmatically, I could compare it with the available
admin details to identify Customer IDs where I am an admin.

Could someone please advise if there's a way to retrieve my User ID or
email ID via the Google Ads API, or suggest an alternative approach to
achieve this goal?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,
Chandan Sharma

"PERMISSION_DENIED" trying to get ads performance report

2024-07-08 Thread Riyan Shah

Hello,

I would like to get the daily ads performance report from my ads account
which is linked to the manager account through SearchGoogleAdsStreamRequest
with
a query.

I have created developer token with basic access and also generated OAuth
2.0 login with my account which has admin access to manager as well as ads
account and placed all the credentials on the .yaml file along with the
login-customer-id as manager account id.

But even after managing all the access i am facing an error saying
“FaultMessage:
User doesn't have permission to access customer. Note: If you're accessing
a client customer, the manager's customer id must be set in the
'login-customer-id' header.”

Although the manager’s customer id is in the file requested by the error
message I am unable to solve the issue.

Kindly help me with the exact solutions or the steps to overcome this
issue.
Thanks,

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

You can use the
conversion_custom_variable
 resource to fetch the conversion report via the Google Ads API. Kindly check
the below query :

  "query": "SELECT conversion_custom_variable.id,
conversion_custom_variable.name, conversion_custom_variable.resource_name FROM
conversion_custom_variable"

Also, you can utilize
GoogleAdsService.SearchStream
 or
GoogleAdsService.Search
 to retrieve the objects. I would suggest you use the Query
Builder
 to build your query and Query
Validator
 to validate your query.

If this is not what you are looking for, provide us with the uncropped UI

RE: acquiring developer token without active manager account

2024-07-08 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

The developer token is like a license key and it is tied to a MCC account for
approval purposes but once approved, you can use it to make calls against any
Google Ads account within the organization. Please note that the developer
token appears only for Google Ads manager and you need to have a Google Ads
Manager account. I would suggest that you refer to the Obtain a developer token
for more information.

Acquiring Developer Token without active Manager account

2024-07-08 Thread Leon
Dear Google Ads API team,

In order to interact with the Google Ads API KeywordPlanService to get
historical keywords, a developer token is required. There are quite some
prerequisites for obtaining such token as can be read from the docs (link

).

Would it be possible to receive a Developer token without an active Google
Ads manager account, given the following use case?

We believe that there's a lot of value in providing historical keywords
data to companies/brands, in which they can find insights on how they
compare with competition split by geography. This could potentially lead to
an optimisation in google ads spend.

To sum up, we have two questions:
1. Is there a way to recieve a developer token to consult companies on
their competiveness per region?
2. How can we make sure this use case does not violate the 'permissible
use' policy (link

)

I look forward to hearing from you,
Leon G.

Transaction wise conversions on google ads report

2024-07-07 Thread Vipul
Hi,

I require transaction wise conversion report to identify selling pattern of
items available in my inventory. I have researched but was not able to find
the actual way of doing so as the transaction ids are just to avoid
duplications in conversions (as per google doc) and they are not reported
anywhere in the google ads report UI.

Is there any other way I can get the report of conversions order wise ?
can I use the custom variables mentioned here ?

I will create a custom variable of transaction id and then use it in
reporting ?
let me know if this way is possible or not.
https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/9964350
a quick reply will be highly appreciated, thanks !

RE: issue querying metrics from location asset on a pmax campaign

2024-07-05 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

After checking the information provided, I understand that you are facing
issues while trying to retrieve asset data for performance max campaigns using
Google Ads API. I would recommend you to use the ad_group_ad_asset_view to
fetch the asset data.

If you are unable to fetch the required data, in order to assist you further,
provide us the customer ID of the Google Ads account that you are trying to
fetch the data. Also, provide us the complete API logs (request and response
with request-id and request header) generated at your end.

RE: mutate operations must have 'create', 'update' or 'remove'

2024-07-05 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Based on the provided logs, you are encountering the request error
"OPERATION_REQUIRED". Make sure, the mutate request operation has the options
to create, edit, or remove provided when submitting a request. Also, I could
see that you have provided only response logs, which are not sufficient to
investigate the issue further, provide us with the complete API logs (request
and response with request-id and request header) generated at your end so that
we can better assist you.

2024-07-05 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Kindly note that whatever the value you have set for page_size in v17 it will
throw a PAGE_SIZE_NOT_SUPPORTED as setting the page size is not supported from
v17, and will be unavailable in a future version. I would suggest not to use
the page_size field from v17.

Clarification regarding duplicate conversions upload to conversion action

2024-07-05 Thread 'Vinay Surya' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,
If I upload a conversion with the same conversion_value,
conversion_date_time and gclid, what happens?

In some of the discussions in this Forum, I found two possible cases:
• That the api will throw an error saying `CONVERSION_ALREADY_EXISTS`
• The api will allow the second upload but only considers the first.

We are not getting an error, but we need to be sure that only the first
conversion is considered.

can you please explain the discrepancy? is it an issue of api version
difference (one version will throw an error and another will simply
consider the first one? )

FYI, we are using `MANY_PER_CLICK` conversion action type

2024-07-05 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Kindly note that for segment.date DURING TODAY, the timezone used for grouping
metrics is the account's timezone. In general all the reports that are pulled
from an account will be based on the account's time zone. You can only set date
ranges for the reports to get data at a specific time.

Hi,

The screenshot which you have provided corresponds to the ad_group resource

provided by us and then match the metrics data from the Google Ads UI.
While mapping the data from the Google Ads UI to the Google Ads API you
should use the same resource.

Kindly note that we have executed both queries provided by you and observed
the same impression value of '83300' without any discrepancies in the
results. I recommend re-running both queries and then comparing the

Hi,
Thanks for the quick response.

But we still don’t understand how the refresh token is associated with the
gmail account i...@alytics.ru. Why - after deleting this user, Google Ads
API methods stopped working for us?

Also, you have attached documentation for creating new "credentials and
refresh tokens"
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/samples/generate-user-credentials
Confirm - did we understand correctly that using this code you can change
the current email i...@alytics.ru to the new mogvai6...@gmail.com - in
order to further disable the info@ account, and at the same time the API
methods for Google Ads will no longer break?

Re: Google Ads Reporting Date Ranges Start / End Time (UTC Time Zone?)

2024-07-05 Thread Edchel Stephen Nini
Hi,

I have the same important question.

Consider this query:
  SELECT
ad_group_criterion.criterion_id,
ad_group_criterion.keyword.text,
ad_group_criterion.keyword.match_type,
ad_group_criterion.status,
metrics.clicks,
metrics.impressions,
metrics.average_cost,
metrics.cost_micros,
metrics.average_cpm,
metrics.average_cpc,
metrics.ctr
FROM keyword_view
WHERE
segments.date DURING TODAY
AND ad_group_criterion.status = 'ENABLED'

Will the stream response use the timezone of the account or from Google
Server itself?
What timezone does the grouping of metrics use if we use segment.date
DURING TODAY?

1. Is it the account's timezone?

Or

2. Does the timezone come from Google API Server itself?
If so, what is the timezone the Google API Server is using when you return
segmented data with dates?

Please answer this important question because we need to know this detail
so we can have accurate reporting to our customers.

Thank you in advanced!
Ed,

RE: how to change the email address of the developer token owner for the google ads api

2024-07-04 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Based on the information provided, I understand that you are encountering the
invalid_grant error. Kindly note that the invalid_grant usually indicates an
issue with the refresh token not with the developer token. That said, you’ll
need to regenerate credentials and refresh tokens. You may refer here to this
guide for the steps on how you can regenerate credentials and refresh tokens.
On the other hand, you may also check this sample code for generating user
credentials.

According to the Google Ads API documentation, Google Cloud Platform project
with an OAuth consent screen configured for an external user type and a
publishing status of "Testing" is issued a refresh token expiring in 7 days.
Your Google project's publishing status is 'Testing' so the refresh token
expires every 7 days and receives an invalid_grant error.

RE: reporting on geographic_view returns duplicate country rows

2024-07-04 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Fan,

It appears that you might have missed our previous response. Please find the
previous response below for your reference :

Based on the information provided, I understand that you want to know why the
two rows with country_criterion_id 2840 are being retrieved. Upon checking the
logs, I noticed that the geographic_view.location_type is different for each
row, one has AREA_OF_INTEREST and the other has LOCATION_OF_PRESENCE. This
difference in location type is why two rows are being retrieved for the same
country_criterion_id.

How to change the email address of the developer Token owner for the Google Ads API

2024-07-04 Thread Алитикс Алитикс

Hello everyone!

Faced with a problem - when deactivating the account i...@alytics.ru
requests to the Google Ads API do not work for us, they return an error
('invalid_grant: Bad Request', {'error': 'invalid_grant',
'error_description': 'Bad Request'})
- as we understand it, this is due to the Developer Token, which is
specified in the API Access in Google Ads.

Do we understand correctly that we need to transfer this developer token to
another email so that requests continue to work?
And how can this be done, since we have not found any related documentation
on transferring the Developer Token between different Google accounts

Our Google Ads Analytics account (905-488-7706)
The developer's token is currently linked to an email i...@alytics.ru , you
need to transfer it to mogvai6...@gmail.com

RE: about billing invoice

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to access the relevant data without having
paying manager permissions. The Google Ads API only allows paying managers to
access billing information. This is because billing information is considered
sensitive data, and Google wants to ensure that only authorized users have
access to it. I would recommend you to check the documentation billing set up
and Invoice for more information

RE: v17 prompts an error: setting the page size is not supported. search responses will have fixed page size of '10000' rows.

2024-07-04 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Kindly note that it's an intended behavior, As starting with version 17 of the
Google Ads API, setting the page_size to a value other than 10,000 will return
a PAGE_SIZE_NOT_SUPPORTED error. I would suggest that you refer to the Paging
Through Results for more information.

RE: date ranges google ads api

2024-07-04 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

In order to get the data of two weeks ago, I would suggest using the
LAST_14_DAYS in the segments.date or you can use the custom_date_range. Please
refer to the sample query below:

{
  "query": "SELECT metrics.cost_micros, segments.week, campaign.name FROM
campaign WHERE metrics.cost_micros > 0 AND segments.date during LAST_14_DAYS"

}

You can try making a request using the Search or SearchStream. Also, you can
use Query Builder to create your query and Query Validator to validate your
query. For more information, I would suggest that you refer to the Date Ranges.

Re: user interest

2024-07-04 Thread Anush Hakobyan
  Ok, thank you. And one last question. Is there a limit on Audience
signals, or can I add the same signal to as many asset groups as I want?

About Billing Invoice

2024-07-04 Thread Shiman Cai
I want to obtain the monthly billing details for each CID. The data is
located in Google Ads UI under customer id > Billing > Transactions, as
stated in the documentation: Google Ads API Billing Invoice.

I am the advertiser, but the paying manager for the customer ID is an
agency. I don't have paying manager permissions (and cannot obtain them, as
the paying manager receives all invoices, including those of other
advertisers).

Is there any other way to access the relevant data besides having paying
manager permissions? This is crucial for us as we have dozens of CIDs each
month, and without API access, we would need 1-2 days to manually verify
each CIDs invoice.
