I didn't receive it. As far as I know I have 3 email accounts associated with adwords: seo@ cromarty@ timtesty@ I recently added another account the other day in my attempts to figure this out: analytics@ The domains of the above emails (mibcomputers.ca, yorkregiontraffictickets.ca, gmail.com). I hope it's not m...@aci.on.ca. They got bought out by Rogers two years ago. I haven't had access to that email address since. I really appreciate your help so far. I have a token? Really? Where is it?
I was rejected by Google when I applied for a token on the basis that apparently I already have a token. If this isn't the most clock and dagger maze for a developer then I don't know what is. So I log into 'MCC', I can see the 'Adwords API Center' under 'My Account' - yet there is no token in sight. There is a link to reapply though. Looks like I'm stuck in a loop here. I'll get rejected if I reapply because I already have one. Yet, I've never used it and don't know where it is. Sounds great. I've logged into the three accounts that I have. Only one of them has a link under 'My Account' for the 'Adwords API Center', however, no token but rather a link to reapply. All the other accounts don't have a link for the 'Adwords API Center' under 'My Account'. I give up trying to get an API key
I've been trying for about three months to get an API key. I can't seem to figure this. I've wasted hours in circles of 'help' pages reading usless information that leads me even more frustrated then when I started. This is my first on the topic and I hope I don't have to wait a month for response. So let's see: You need an MCC account to get an API key. Fair. I have one. What's next? You must sign up for the Adwords API Account directly. Here's a quote from the main page: you can sign up for the AdWords API directly from the My Account tab. Click on API Center and follow the instructions Problem. I don't see API Center. So I did some reading for an hour and came across this post: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/AdWords/thread?tid=77b5c0c6f1d75902hl=en This lead me no where. At some point (some time ago) I did go through the process of actually applying for an API key. Since then I haven't received any email or otherwise confirmation of anything. Searching on trying to finding a solution is a maze of circles that bring me back to the same pages I saw an hour when I started. I'm extremely frustrated. Can anyone suggested the magical page I need to read in order to get an API key? I mean, why is it so difficult?
