Even if includeZeroImpressions is set to False, records with 0 achievements are output.

2021-10-11 Thread M.T
Hi,

In the Campaign Performance Report, please tell me the cause when the
record with 0 achievement is output even if includeZeroImpressions is set
to False.

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/zeroimpression-structure-reports

As far as I read this article,

・When Supports Zero Impressions is False.
・If any of the metric fields specified in the query are non-zero.

If there is a possibility other than the above, please let me know.

For example, in the Discovery ad campaign, AdNetworkType1 was outputting
records with 0 results, such as Display and Youtube.

I thought that only AdNetworkType1 = Cross-network achievement would occur
in the discovery ad campaign, but is it possible to output records with 0
achievement such as Display?

Hi Felipe,

The Geo Performance Report doesn't support zero impressions, so any rows
containing zero impressions will not return. If you look at its page, you'll
see that the "Supports Zero Impressions" for all the fields are False.

Hello,

Yes, you should still see data for this campaign returned as long as it was not
deleted/removed. By default, only paused and enabled entities will return. But
you can specify if you also want removed entities included in your report.

Hi HIroyuki,

Not sure why my previous reply got cut in the middle. If you choose to see
the original text, you should be able to see the full content. But let me
paste the missing part here.

Here is the report definition in Case 2, that the creative with impression
= 0 does not show in report. The only difference is in Case 2 here, we have
3 more fields requested, "Impressions", "Cost" and "Clicks".
 https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201809;>  <

This is the content in the report (no creative, only headers):

By the way this is the report in case 3, where I set includeZeroImpressions
= true and includes the Impressions header. You can see in the last 3
fields, all of them are 0, which is expected.

Re: Downloading Ads report with includeZeroImpressions = false still downloads the creative with impression = 0

2019-08-22 Thread Kain
Hi Hiroyuki,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes I understand the point that when setting includeZeroImpressions =
false, "Impressions" is not the only field that adwords api checks if it's
0 or not, couple more fields also matter.

But in my Case 2 above, I set includeZeroImpressions = false (same as Case
1), and I included the "Impressions"(together with "Cost","Clicks") field
in my report download request (which is the only difference from Case 1).
But in case 2, in the report, this creative does not show up (meaning the
impression and all related metric fields are actually 0), but in Case 1, it
shows up in the report.

My client cusomter id is "212-438-1568". The creative id is 378574373950.
Here is the report definition in Case 1, that the creative with impression
= 0 shows in report.

 https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201809;>  <
ns2:fields>Headline HeadlinePart1 <

And here is content in the report (creative shows):

Could you confirm if you are using any metric fields in the SELECT clause? If
yes, could you also confirm if the values for the metric fields have zero
values? If the values aren't zero, this is the expected behavior. Please note
that excluding zero impressions with includeZeroImpressions = false has a side
effect in that rows are excluded only if all specified metric fields in the
query have zero values.

> In Case 1, actually I'm expecting the creative with impression = 0 should NOT
> appear in the report.
If this is expected, besides "Impressions" field, is there any other fields
having the similar behavior that affect the report?

If you have any other metric fields in the SELECT clause in your query and if
they have values, they will affect the report.

You may refer to this guide for more details about zero Impression.

If this doesn't help to resolve your issue, so I can further investigate, could
you provide the complete report definition together with your Client customer
ID?

Downloading Ads report with includeZeroImpressions = false still downloads the creative with impression = 0

2019-08-21 Thread Kain
Hi,

I have a question with regard to the behavior of using ReportDefinition
and ReportDownloader from package
com.google.api.ads.adwords.lib.utils.v201809.

So I want to download the ad report WITHOUT the object of impression = 0.
Here is the observation when I did my test.

Case 1:
* set includeZeroImpressions = false
* Specify couple ad fields like Headline, Id, AdGroupId, CampaignId, etc,
but NO "Impressions" field.
In the report, my creative of impression = 0 appears.

Case 2:
* set includeZeroImpressions = false
* Specify couple ad fields together with "Impressions" field.
In the report, my creative of impression = 0 doesn't appear.

Case 3:
* set includeZeroImpressions = true
* Specify couple ad fields together with "Impressions" field.
In the report, my creative of impression = 0 appears.

>From the above test result. I have a feeling that in order to exclude the
object with impression = 0 in the report, besides setting
includeZeroImpressions = false, we also need to include the "Impressions"
field into the report download request. So is this expected?
In Case 1, actually I'm expecting the creative with impression = 0 should
NOT appear in the report.
If this is expected, besides "Impressions" field, is there any other fields
having the similar behavior that affect the report?

Thank you,
Kain

Hi Tirtha,

When you set the "includeZeroImpressions=False", you will retrieve all the
data with non-zero impressions. On the other hand, if you set the
"includeZeroImpressions=True", you should be able to retrieve all the data
that has both zero and non-zero impressions. You may check this guide
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/zeroimpression-structure-reports>

more information about zero impressions.

To further investigate the item #3 you specified, could you provide the

 you

2018-04-18 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

You have to set the to includeZeroImpressions
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/zeroimpression-structure-reports>
 to
false in the header. Please check the line of code
<https://github.com/googleads/googleads-java-lib/blob/master/examples/adwords_axis/src/main/java/adwords/axis/v201802/reporting/DownloadCriteriaReportWithAwql.java#L158>
 in
Java sample where you can set this. Once you have this set to false, you
could take out the condition "Impressions>0". Please give this a try and
let me know if you are facing any issues.

Thanks,
Sreelakshmi, AdWords API Team

Hi,

My apologies for the confusion, the documentation for the Shopping
Performance Report
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/shopping-performance-report>
 might
indeed need to be updated to accurately reflect its behavior. As for it not
supporting zero impressions, I can confirm that this report does in fact
not support them. I tested it on my end using all current working versions,
including the 201705 version, and I was able to replicate the error when
setting the *includeZeroImpressions = true*.

This being said, allow me to file a bug to have the documentation updated.
I will also update you, once information is available, if this is indeed
the expected behavior or if this requires more than just a modification in
the documentation.

includeZeroImpressions is not supported for this request

2018-04-03 Thread gogrow dev
Hi,

When querying clicks and impressions from the shopping performance report
with zero impressions set to true, I am getting the following error;
`includeZeroImpressions is not supported for this request`

Based on the documentation I have read, clicks and impressions for the
shopping performance report should support zero impressions. I am unable to
find any documentation informing the contrary.
I have been able to make that query in the past without receiving any error
and I recently updated the Google Adwords API version I am using to v201710.

Any help and/or information as to why I am receiving that error is greatly
appreciated.

Thank you!

Re: [AWQL] includeZeroImpressions doesn't work with PRODUCT PARTITION REPORT

2016-11-20 Thread mvbentes
I will resurrect this old topic to clarify a little more as the answers
here helped me, but still required some legwork.

As it seems, at leas in the python API, the default is not to return zero
impression rows.
The trick is that the checking of the condition appears to be
all(value_columns.values == 0). So, if no value columns are requested, i.e.
only categorical data, the condition will not be triggered and data comes
anyway. That would be why @road11 sugestion worked.

To make a request with value columns and still get zero impression rows,
one needs to *explicitly* declare the *includeZeroImpressions* header. How
to do that might vary according to the language.

In python one could do that when creating the api_client object to have it
added to all report requests. Alternativelly it is possible to add the
header on a per report basis. As stated in the documentation
<http://googleads.github.io/googleads-python-lib/googleads.adwords.ReportDownloader-class.html#DownloadReportAsStreamWithAwql>,

my code turned out as follows:

report_downloader.DownloadReportAsStreamWithAwql(report_query,

   *include_zero_impressions=True*,

   skip_report_header=True,

   skip_column_header=True,

   skip_report_summary=True)

With that I got the expected result.

Hello,

The includeZeroImpressions field has been removed from the XML report
definition schema in API version v201603. You need to use the
includeZeroImpressions
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/reporting#request-headers>
 HTTP
header instead. If you are using the PHP client library, then you can do so
by setting the options for includeZeroImpressions. Please take a look at
the updated PHP example DownloadCriteriaReport.php
<https://github.com/googleads/googleads-php-lib/blob/master/examples/AdWords/v201603/Reporting/DownloadCriteriaReport.php#L68>
.

how to include includeZeroImpressions in header

2016-04-17 Thread dima
According to adwords api new version includeZeroImpressions was removed:

"The includeZeroImpressions field in ReportDefinition is removed. Use the HTTP
header
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/reporting#request-headers>
 to
include zero impressions in your report results instead."
so I can't use ReportDefinition object property "includeZeroImpressions"
like this:

 ReportDefinition definition = new ReportDefinition();
.
definition.includeZeroImpressions = true;

ReportUtilities utilities = new ReportUtilities(AdwordsUser, "v201603",
definition);
 using (ReportResponse response = utilities.GetResponse())
{
read results .
 }
 and should add it to HTTP header
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/reporting#request-headers>
.
Can any one provide an example how to do it ?

Re: [AWQL] includeZeroImpressions doesn't work with PRODUCT PARTITION REPORT

2015-10-21 Thread Umesh Dengale
Hello,

The CampaignName, CampaignId, AdGroupName, AdGroupId, ProductGroup,
Impressions columns support the zero impressions. There is no need to
include Impression condition (where clause) in the report. The query will
return rows including zero impressions.

More information about an impression for the PRODUCT_PARTITION_REPORT
described in the report page -- an impression for a product will be
attributed to the row for every product partition that contains the
product. Please see the report description

 with
the example.

Re: [AWQL] includeZeroImpressions doesn't work with PRODUCT PARTITION REPORT

2015-10-15 Thread road11
Mine does. Try excluding the Impressions column. That might be killing
zero-impression rows. I'm bringing down only the ID and name columns for
campaign, adgroup, and partition, and that's working for me.

If you include certain statistic columns in your select list, it can
suppress zero-impression rows.

[AWQL] includeZeroImpressions doesn't work with PRODUCT PARTITION REPORT

2015-10-15 Thread Mario
As the title says including zero impression rows doesn't work with the
PRODUCT_PARTITION_REPORT.
I consider this as a bug because i did not found anything in the docs or
the internet that says this should not work.

My AWQL-Query:

SELECT CampaignName, CampaignId, AdGroupName, AdGroupId, ProductGroup,
Impressions
FROM PRODUCT_PARTITION_REPORT
WHERE Impressions >= 0
DURING 20150101, 20151010

So can anybody confirm that this is a bug or point me to a somewhere where
it is documented that zero impression are not supported in this report?
Thx in advance...

Why is includeZeroImpressions allowed in report definition but other options aren't allowed?

2015-09-11 Thread Jarad C
yaml = r'C:\Users\Owner\Documents\Python\adwords_yay\googleads.yaml'

from googleads import adwords

adwords_client = adwords.AdWordsClient.LoadFromStorage(yaml)
report_downloader = adwords_client.GetReportDownloader(version='v201502')

]},
# Enable to get rows with zero impressions.
'includeZeroImpressions': 'false'
}

report_downloader.DownloadReport(report, sys.stdout)

Why am I allowed to use 'includeZeroImpressions' but if I try to include
options like 'skipReportHeader', 'skipColumnHeader', 'skipReportSummary' found
in the Reporting Basics
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/reporting?hl=en>
section, it doesn't work?

I have learned that I can define these in the DownloadReport(report,
sys.stdout) as keyword arguments but I'm mainly trying to understand why I
can use 'includeZeroImpressions' in the report body but can't use the other
options? Is it based on what's allowed in the reportdefinition.xsd
<https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/reportdownload/v201506/reportDefinition.xsd>
 and
are those all the options we have in terms of defining the report
definition? Newbie question. Just want to make sure I'm on the right track.

Hi Jarad,

Yes, the only fields you can include in your report body are the ones
listed in the report definition link you provided. Like you said, you can
include those options such as *skipReportHeader *in the DownloadReport

Hi Stefan,

We're working on this one, but I don't have an ETA just yet for when it
will be fixed. I'll let you know as soon as that happens.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team

2015-06-04 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi Stefan,

Thanks for sending over the details to Anthony -- with that information I
was able to reproduce the issue you described. We're following up with the
reporting team to see why this particular report seems to be ignoring the
*includeZeroImpressions=false* setting when the *Date* field is requested.
I'll post back here as soon as I have an update.

In the meantime, please exclude zero impressions by adding a predicate on
*Impressions
GREATER_THAN 0*, since that appears to be working in all cases.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team

Re: Behavior of includeZeroImpressions-Flag for Product Partition Report

2015-06-04 Thread Stefan Kleine Stegemann
Hi Josh,

thanks for the update. As a side note, it does not seem that the report is
ignoring the flag entirely. If I request the same report with
includeZeroImpressions=true, I get a lot more zero-impression rows. We're
already using the predicate now and it works without problems.

Best wishes,
Stefan

includeZeroImpressions working?

2012-01-30 Thread t...@exelution.com
Hello,

it seems some changes were made recent days that fundamentally changed the
way zeroImpressions seem to be handled. Testing with our report definitions
of which some had zero impressions previously I currently seem to be
entirely incapable to get any zeroImpression reports working at all.

As we are currently trying to adapt our structure reports for account
synchronization this is a bit problematic.

Neither this definition for campaigns:
reportDefinition xmlns=https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201109;
selector

/selector
reportNameCampaign structure report/reportName
reportTypeCAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT/reportType
dateRangeTypeYESTERDAY/dateRangeType
downloadFormatCSV/downloadFormat
includeZeroImpressionstrue/includeZeroImpressions
/reportDefinition

nor this for keywords
reportDefinition xmlns=https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201109;
selector
fieldsDate/fields
fieldsAccountDescriptiveName/fields
fieldsCampaignName/fields
fieldsCampaignId/fields

  reportNameKeyword Performance Report/reportName
  reportTypeKEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT/reportType
  dateRangeTypeYESTERDAY/dateRangeType
  downloadFormatCSV/downloadFormat
  includeZeroImpressionstrue/includeZeroImpressions
/reportDefinition

seems to regard the includeZeroImpressions flag as worthwhile and from the
way it previously worked the default value should be true anyway. Do new
fields now prevent zero impression rows or has something else changed?

Thanks,

Holger
