We have been trying to get our developer token approved for production use for over a month. We have tried emailing and chatting, and submitting tickets through every system we can find only to get bounced around and told we aren't talking to the right people. Even emailing the email address at googleadsapi-supp...@google.com told us we were talking to the wrong people! Guys, are you still giving the developer tokens? there is no way to communicate with the responsible team, in here we just receive the same response every time, and I see many other people with the same issue. Who are they? Another company? Could you explain what this sentence means? I had acquired a developer token, completed development on my product and then had my token deactivated while waiting for my first customer to begin beta testing. I have requested reinstatement a week ago and I'm still waiting. What do I have to do to get my freaking token re-enabled? PLEASE someone help. Hello, i'm from germany and want to use the Adwords API. Until September we can use the API with no problems, but our status is reduced to "appending". Google wrote that we use the API insufficient. Since October we have more clients and want use the API again. But the status is not updated in the last 3 month. Hi Google Ads API Team Awe have standard access against one of our developer-token A on our Production-MCC and created Google API Console project on GCP so as per the doc (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/first-call/dev-token) developer token is permanently paired with Google API Console project. BNow we have another running MCC for testing purpose with developer token B we have created Google API Console project for that as well. But that have basic access ,so API get exhausted because of daily limit of 15000 APIs. This cause blocker in our testing.so what can we do to resolve this issue. 1. should we use same developer token A and Google API Console project of B and user access token of B to access B MCC account, 2. should we use same developer token A and Google API Console project of A itself and user access token of B to access B MCC account, 3. our you can provide standard access to our another MCC account developer token. Note: B is not customer A or in anyway they are connect. Hi all, Here at the company I work for, we are having difficulty recovering access to which the credentials we use are linked. We have been using a developer token for a long time that is different from what appears in the API Center. How is this possible? For a Developer Token to have access to the accounts, does it not necessarily need to be registered on the same project? Developer Token Application
Google Ads API Team, I submitted an application for a Google Ads developer token (*Basic* access) by following the steps outlined in this documentation <https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/get-started/dev-token>. The application was submitted on 2023-12-19. I have not received a response to this application despite receiving a prompt that applications would be reviewed within 3 business days. In addition, I have not been able to find a page that indicates the application is *Pending Review*, as the documentation above indicates. Looking at other conversations in this forum, clients are requested for their Google Ads Manager Account ID (560-498-0508) and their Case ID. I did not receive a case ID when I submitted the developer token application. Hi Google Ads API Team, My client have submitted an application for a Google Ads developer token ( *Basic* access). The application was submitted on 2023-07-21. However, there is no immediate case confirmation email nor following any responses. The client resubmitted the application on 2024-1-3. However, there are still no response. Their Google Ads Manager Account ID is 658-930-5892, however there is no case ID due to no email at all. I am kindly wondering if anyone can help on this case. Resetting developer token
Hi there, I've got a quick question while using the AdWords developer token. So I'd like to know what happens if I reset my developer token (say if I believe its security is compromised)? Do I have to wait another two weeks to get it approved again (now it's already approved)? Thanks for your help! Sandbox developer token
Hi, I've been developing some code to download reports for our agency and it seems that during testing, my code was connecting to the production service even though I had specified the sandbox service in my config file. We were recently informed that you need to use a sandbox-specific developer token. How do you go about getting one of these? An error has occurred: [QuotaCheckError.INVALID_TOKEN_HEADER @ ] I'm using the php client lib for the adwords api I created a test manager account and it shows me having a deveoper token used the oauth playground to get my refresh token I created a new client id and secret and added all this information to the auth.ini file I serving this locally on WAMP Any suggestions? Hi, I've recently been approved for basic access level with my developer token. That token was only approved to read access with no mutate operations requested. Now I'm working on another app that suggests using mutate operations. Developer token prohibited
Hi,
we have a set of service account credentials that are currently being used
to access google AdWords with a given developer token. Now that we have
service accounts available for Google Ads API, we wanted to use those same
credentials and developer token to access this API on behalf of SDC.
However, we are being barred by the following error:

```
We find this weird because the service account credentials are allowed to
access the scope for google adwords (which is the same for google ads) on
GSuite, and that project does have google ads enabled.
Could you guys please help us understand what we are missing and how can we
fix this?

Hi Luiz, The DEVELOPER_TOKEN_PROHIBITED error may be due to the Google Cloud project, 344961598665, having prior association with another developer token. The documentation expands on this error: Warning: Each Google API Console project can be associated with the developer token from only one manager account. Once you make a Google Ads API request, the developer token is permanently paired to the Google API Console project. If switching to a developer token under a new manager account, you'll need to create a new Google API Console project for Google Ads API requests that use the new manager's token. If you do not use a new Google API Console project, you'll get a DEVELOPER_TOKEN_PROHIBITED error when making a request. Can you confirm if this is a possible scenario? If you suspect this is not the case, can you please provide your complete request and response logs? Create developer token
I am having trouble connecting to the Google Ads API. I need to use the Google Ads REST API for my company, where I have been granted administrator access. I have read that I need to create a developer token in the API center, but this API center is not appearing for me. I even asked the owner of the Google Ads account to check if it was visible for them, but it wasn't. Developer Token transfer
Hello I have a question regarding Developer Token transfer Background: I have an unusual situation with developer tokens. We have a number of MCC accounts that were previously under separate accounts that we now want to consolidate. I have an approved access token on 2 of them (same token). Hi Ismail, Thank you for reaching out to our API support team. Using the standard access developer token in your testing purposes can help in avoiding the operational limits you are encountering. However, the Google Cloud Projects that you used in both developer tokens A and B are already permanently paired to them respectively. If you wish to use developer token A (standard access), you will need to create a new Google Cloud Project and OAuth credentials using a user / email address that has access to the other MCC, so that you can use credentials and authenticate without issues on your other MCC's account hierarchy. As for asking for standard access approval, this also can be considered. However, do take note that the Compliance Team generally only approves 1 developer token per entity. Since you currently have both a standard access and basic access developer token, there may be some discussion later on with their team. You may opt to reach out to the Compliance Team as well, via this contact form, for further insights on your developer token options. so can we create another Google console API project for test and can use developer token A again. Our developer token A is already pair with one Google console API project for production. so if i m understanding correctly one developer token A can be paired with two projects without any issue right ? and this way we can keep our production and stage environment Google console API project separate using same developer token ? Regarding Developer Token

I am currently trying to integrate google adword API using PHP for one of
my client. I have set up everything and have following details:
I have created a project in my google developer console and selected
application type as other. Had already set up client id and client secrets
and have got the request token using getAccessToken.php
Here is the url for your reference:

I copied and pasted that url created by the above url with my client id and
got the refresh token. The generated refresh token is added to auth.ini
file.
After that, in the test mode, I have set up a developer token on my test
account here:

So in my auth,ini, I have client id, client secret, refresh token and
developer token.
But, when I try to

Developer token ownership
Hi, We are developing and app which was initially an internal app used by a company and it is now a SaaS app. Our developer token is still from the MCC of that company and each company that uses our app connects it's MCC to our application via OAuth2. Is there any issue if the developer token we have doesn't belong to a MCC owned by us? The company that has is doesn't mind and is willing to keep it there, but I am more concerned whether there is any privacy issue. Please see my answer below for each issue that you've mentioned in your post: Here at the company I work for, we are having difficulty recovering access to which the credentials we use are linked -You may try to check the user account / email address that you probably used in generating Oauth2 credentials in TOOLS & SETTINGS > Access and security > Users. Since your concern is about access and Oauth2 credential, then I would suggest to reach out to Google API Console support team for further assistance in determining the user who generated the credentials. We have been using a developer token for a long time that is different from what appears in the API Center. How is this possible? -To clarify, only one approved production developer token can only be used to the Google Ads accounts under an organization or entity, with this, there should not have 2 developer tokens. However, so that our team can further investigate, could you provide the customer ID where the developer token is generated and the developer token you are using in API request? Please ensure to provide the requested details via Reply privately to author option or if this option is greyed out, then please send it to this email address instead googleadsapi-supp...@google.com. For a Developer Token to have access to the accounts, does it not necessarily need to be registered on the same project? Is there a way to recover who owns this developer token diferenet from the one registered in the API Center? -Developer token is not used to access accounts. OAuth2 credentials are what is needed in order to authenticate API requests for accessing/modifying the Google Ads account. To determine who owns the current developer token you are using, you may reach out to the Compliance team, via this form, as they should be able to look up which account it is associated to. DEVELOPER TOKEN ERROR
I am trying to follow Make your first api call setup of google ads. I Followed all steps for my .net application which will pull data from google adds web api but it seems to have an error about test accounts. I created a test management account and created accounts and campaigns under that account for that purposes. Also I am using given code in the example but i keep getting developer token error (QuotaCheckError.DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED @ ; trigger:') Management account 215-082-4231 533-747-6509 is test account 1 228-121-5525 is test account 2 they all return the same error. At this point I am pretty much stuck!
