That was a bad idea. I say Apple hits 115-120 before year end. On a 100k
margin you could earn 14-19k return now until year end.

Sept. Is a portfolio adjustment month so it naturally is a sell side month.

We dropped Apex a couple years ago. IMHO it's not good outdoor cable. Switched
to shielded Shireen and haven't looked back. In fact, knocking on wood now, we
think the Shireen has protected us from ESD. We have not seen an AP OR SM
damaged if the site has Shireen installed. We did see numerous issues with
Apex. Thank you to the WISP members on the list who recommended it.

With that said, it would appear every hardware company in our industry seems to

It's very disappointing behavior. I think these engineers need to spend a week

Re: [AFMUG] OSHA Written Safety Plan for WISPs

2014-11-11 Thread Tyson Burris @ Internet Comm. Inc via Af
For WISPs, you need to focus on the OSHA content related to construction. I
require OHSA 10, at a minimum, for all employees now, including CPR CERT.
Everyone in our industry should be doing a pre climb safety meeting as well but
I have yet to see ANYONE do it.

I'm not an expert here at all but that's what what I was taught from the
cellular side.

[AFMUG] UBNT 24 Bounce

2014-11-13 Thread Tyson Burris @ Internet Comm. Inc via Af
Guys,

Seeing a 24ghz bouncing and throwing low bandwidth numbers. Session and
throughput graphs look great when up. Cable pairs are like 26-29 snr.

Ericsson said an LTE sector started acting up. Clearly different RF but seems
odd.

New terminations and power supplies. No luck. Bypass surge protection same
result

2014-11-16 Thread Tyson Burris @ Internet Comm. Inc via Af
The rep that works or worked at Crown Castle in Indianapolis used to work for
another company I did IT work for. He spent his days infectimg his business
laptop with porn.

He needed a 'lazy' job that he could overcharge customers and get kick backs
forso he joined Crown.

Many of us can install our equipment better then the drugged up contractors
that Crown uses.

Yes in training it was confirmed that the ePmP can get power and sync through
CMM 3&4 but the 3 may be tricky to workaround.

Also you can gps time your PTP link but it wasn't recommend. You should use
the Mac level for your ptp

OK Cambium ePMP dudes and chicks, I am disappointed. I thought you
 guys
had Canopy-like SM "click-thru" access, aka LUID proxy. But this is
 not
the case on 2.3.3. All you give me is a URL with the IP of the SM.
Informational helpful, yes, operationally helpful, no.

I'm guessing you need an RF private network like exists on Canopy to
make this work. Please do it.

Re: [AFMUG] Epmp results

2014-12-21 Thread Tyson Burris @ Internet Comm. Inc via Af
It's cambium and works well. I understand a lot of guys are now going to it.
Question though is the new AC gear worth waiting on at this point ??

My complaints are...

Wish it had alignment tone. We are so use to our easy breezy alignment tool
with FSK and OFDM. Going to the led lights was a step back I guess to help
keep costs down. Who here has tried to align a KP REFLECTOR like that? That's
dumb. Give me my headset back so I can listen to music. Some of the UI loads
slow and is missing some nice features we see in the other cambium gear. Sync
and throughput is good. Force 110 dish is small...wish it was bigger to add
the db loss from taking Rockets down.

Sorry I like carrier grade but without the price. So I am crying about it

[AFMUG] UBNT equipment - Atlanta

2014-12-28 Thread Tyson Burris @ Internet Comm. Inc via Af
I need help. Who here has some UBNT equipment in Atlanta ? Came down to my
brother in laws. They moved to another house in Cobb County. Have a three
story home with a Belkin. Wifi sucks. Will never be able to work here !
Doesn't UBNT have a downtown Atlanta office ?

seem to over complicate things. (Like a woman)

Sorry
