[graphics-issues] [Issue 53715] Impress: (Animated) objec ts are doubled from 1.1.4 to m122

I now can reproduce this with new documents. It seems that the problem is caused
by animations within a group.

Try it this way:

1. Create a new presentation in 1.1.4
2. Insert some objects and apply effects
3. Group this objects and apply an effect for the group

Behaviour in 1.1.4: Only one effect (of the group) is shown
Behaviour in m122: The effects within the group are additionally listed, but not
performed

So a workaround could be to remove the effects from the objects within the
group. But I think too, that this is a regression and not very comfortable for
users to go over many presentations to get them ready for OOo 2.0.

I have attached patch archive for src680 m125 source tree.

As suggested by maho in the mailing list, I am going to split them into
smaller parts but it would be for m126.

I imported a PNG into draw.
I placed labels on top of the PNG.
I needed to export back to PNG, so attempted to combine the components because
otherwise draw just exported the original object, not all the objects.
If I click on the objects and press combine, the original image overwrites the
objects that I have added.
NOTE: Even if I group the objects or send (atange) the original image to back,
this happens.
The ONLY way to export so that my new objects (labels) are where they are, is to
select them all then do an export to PNG. However, even this has problems and
sometimes only a few can be seen.

I have put a test file at the URL so that you can see an example of this. Try
combining the red text items with the background image.

Problem is caused by operator error.

The user selected entire rows, apparently by clicking on the row number in the
left margin, then applied borders to all the cells in the row(s).

On step 2 (set types and formats) of the table create wizard, the - key
deleted a column without asking for confirmation. There is also no undo facility
in the wizard so it is easy for someone to delete a row in error and lose the
definition entirely.

In the table create wizard. If you set the auto-increment statement for an
integer column then click on another integer field, the statement is not reset
to blank! Ie. The same statement persists which is clearly wrong as nother field
would have a different auto-increment.

If I want to align items, then the most common (and intuitive) way to do this is
to click on the anchor (the item that is in the correct place) first then
shift-click the other items and choose how they should be aligned with the first
one ... top, centre, bottom.

However, Draw doesn't do this, it seems to divide the difference in axis between
both items and move both of them equidistant amounts. In practical useae terms,
that is not too helpful.

There is a serious bug in the create table wizard: The default database for
OpenOffice2 is HSQL, but yet none of the auto-increment settings work for it! In
HSQL and auto-increment integer type is IDENTITY. But the wizards attempt to set
this to auto_increment. The resulting table create statement at the end of the
wizard therefore generates a SQL error.

This is really not good if HSQL is integrated into OpenOffice! It really SHOULD
be using the column type identity instead!

Tp reproduce:

1) Go to table create in design view.
2) Add column ID of type BigInt and set auto value. The identity SQL is then
identity
3) Add another column, say name of type text.
4) Click save.
5) Give a table name click ok.

You get a popup saying that a primary key isn't defined on this table and sould
OO define one?
6) Choose yes.

Primary key ID1 is automatically defined for the table but you now get a table
create SQL error because you have more than one primary key defined on this
table!

The fix is to make the bigint/autovalue combination also set (automatically) the
column as the primary key in design view.

Steps:
1) Create a table in the table creation wizard
2) On the last page, choose to open the table for inserting data (default
choice).
3) CLick finish.

The data edit sheet opens but there is not table loaded for editing. You have to
close it, go back to the table list and re-open it.

The issue seems to be that the table hasn't been created before the datasheet is
opened.

obvious, becaues the document gets printed.

this happens in SUSE 9.3 packages build 1.9.124 and earlier

Unable to change the setting break page before in a paragraph style which
depends on another where this is set.
One style (ChildStyle) is linked with another (ParentStyle). ParentStyle has a
page break before. If I try to remove this property from DependentStyle, the
change applies on the screen, but it does not stay when I reopen the document.

Steps to reproduce:

1.Create a new document
2.Create ParentStyle,
3.Modify style Text Flow Breaks: Insert: page, before,
4.Set some page style in the “With page style” field
5.Create DependentStyle with New Style from selection
6.Unselect the break property from 2.
7.Save
8.Close
9.Reopen.

Now, the page break is back again before ChildStyle.
If the Page break in the ParentStyle does not have a page style associated with
it, the change in the ChildStyle will stay.

When selecting a series of cells and formatting them to 'date', if the format
isn't already correct (mm/dd/yy) it does some funky stuff. If only a year is
given and is intended, it converts it to a date that isn't intended. This could
be resolved by checking to see if the cell is in the correct format and if not
defaulting to either 01/01/ or leave in format. I ran into this problem
when I had some date infomation that had mixed format date info. Interestingly,
calc recognized it as date info and presented it in mm/dd/yy format. While that
worked in the 1990's, I would recommed that if it's going to recognize this type
of info, the format be mm/dd/.

I am on 113 on Linux. Will try latest version and test but you MUST be using the
wizard as I stated.

Just to be sure of the steps because there are several routes to creating
auto-increment columns:

1) Start wizard
2) Choose a table (I chose invoices).
3) Select columns (I chose all the columns)
4) CLick Next
5) Click Next again
6) Choose Use existing field as primary key and a column to be a key (I chose
InvoiceID).
7) Check auto value
8) Click next
9) Give a new table name and save in PUBLIC schema.
10) Click Finish.

The error pops up.

sparcmoz: please do.

Anyway, the official debian packages don't use the cairo canvas (they did a few
pre-versions but then I refrained from enabling it) but ooo-build has it as
default. Since it's not in OOo proper this issue is ooo-build only - INVALID
here.

Hi all

I have tested Eric Hoch and Maho packages : for me they are equivalent and this
is a good thing ! (Just my packages are different : using Start_OOo +
postinstall script )

I just have seen Eric's and Maho's builds are relocatable, and I'd strongly
suggest *they're not*, at least until we have a complete installer, working
correctly.
Middle Mac User is able to install OOo in strange locations (using 'magic'
folder names ... etc) and this always generates bugs.

Second, what is still missing is an Applescript lauching the application with a
dockable icon. Without this feature, OOo won't be used at all, believe me.

FYI, if no solution is found, I have rewritten another equivalent to the one
from Terry Teague I usually include in my builds, but it's still very buggy and
not complete. Probably Florian's one is more advanced.

Note that the applescript is not sufficient, we need to include icons,
Info.plist files, localized files to make this work the same way.

Last but not least, is to exactly define the command line process, and where/how
put everything, which will automatically build this part in the build (or at
the end, why not).

If you have no clue about how things are organized, OpenOffice.org application
is just a folder containing a tree, with inside everything needed.

-icons
-pre-compiled scripts
-localizations infos
-menus infos
...

To know more, download attached archive, uncompress it, right click and chose
See package content.

For memory, what I was proposing for the final user is :

download .dmg
double-click on metapkg icon - start install
[ ... ok for install process, fine for me...]

Note : at the end we use a postinstall script with inside :
open -a /Application/openoffice.org1.9.{version}
- a window opens this folder, and a dockable icon called OpenOffice.org2
appears

The user has just to dock it to start OOo

The html body tag is overwritten when going from wysiwyg to html view/edit modes
and back.

E.g.:
1. Start up OO 1.9.122.
2. Open the file, index.html via File | Open or the button at the top of the
window
3. The file opens and is displayed in the wysiwyg mode
4. use the menu View | HTML Source or Click the button at the top of the window
to switch to HTML source view
5. edit some part of the file (not the BODY ... tag)
6. save the file using the menu File | Save or click the Save button
7. use the menu View | HTML Source or Click the button at the top of the window
to switch to HTML source view
Notice that the previous BODY tag:
BODY LANG=en-US TEXT=#00 BACKGROUND=pix/bg.jpg DIR=LTR
STYLE=background: url(pix/bg.jpg) no-repeat middle center scroll
was changed to:
BODY LANG=en-US TEXT=#00 DIR=LTR
in the index.html file.

[dba-issues] [Issue 53873] Create table Wizard: Auto increment settings do not work with HSQL

Okay I think I see the problem here. If you don't put in the keyword IDENTITY
on the second screen (the auto-increment statement) this is when you get the
problem. However, if you do put this in, then the table generates fine.

My main document is in Documents and Settings/User/My Documents/Thesis , while
the linked graphics are in Thesis/Images . When I look in the content.xml
file, the link is not ./Images/filename, but ./My
Documents/Thesis/Images/filename .

hrmpf, yes, I should've read where the error actually is. my bad.

Well. the officebean links (with a gcj build which I think you stilld do ;) )
against libgcj-awt which links against cairo which *should* properly link with
freetype which it apparently doesn't do...

But I guess it's a debian bug for cairo, yes.

Comments placed in text are not showing up in when the text was edited as a .doc
file in word. If the file is opend in OO 1.5, the comments do show up. Presently
using OO 1.9.125. Tried converting file to .OTD and .SXW, but comments still
were not showing up in the text.

I tried to reproduce this error on Fedora Core 4, m122; and on WinXP SP2, m122,
both with and without OOo dialogs. Could not get it to fail. Fedora's open
dialog does not allow you to type in a filename. WinXP's open dialog gives a
dropdown list of matching filenames as you type in the name, so I get two of
them, name1.doc and name1.odt. The first one is automatically selected if I
press enter. If I trim off the extension, I get an error, File does not exist:
name1 or similar. This behavior is similar on OOo's dialog in both operating
systems.

Hi blondgecko, we had some issues with realtive hyperlinks becoming absolute,
but currently I can not decide whether this issue has to do something with those
ones.

What's the main document? A normal .sxw or a .sxg?

Do you always see that effect or only in a special file after you had problems
after aou moved th file to another directory?

kennethryan, pls specify your OS and Platform!

Do we talk about file links?
I checked with 1.1.4 (German) WIN XP: [645m52 (Build 8824)] and can not confirm
the problem, in content.xml of the master document in 'e:\Rainer\Eigene
Dateien\TEMP\oootestfiles\48481_relativelinks\test\masterdocument' i found a
correct 'xlink:href=subdir/subdocument.sxw'
to the inserted document 'subdocument.sxw' in 'e:\Rainer\Eigene
Dateien\TEMP\oootestfiles\48481_relativelinks\subdir'

Pls. contribute a step by step instruction with all details (every mouseclick
and every keypress) how you created your test files.
