[graphics-issues] [Issue 54235] 'Keep Ratio' (aspect rati o) functionality of picture format dialog brok en
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=54235 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Sep 9 19:41:36 -0700 2005 --- Confirming... cl is correct. On a hunch, I went back into OOWriter and played with it for a bit, and guess what? I found the functionality that I was looking for all along. Turns out that if you hold down the Shift key (on Linux, anyways) when resizing the picture with the drag handles you get the 'maintain aspect ratio' behavior that I had expected to find by checking the 'Keep Ratio' checkbox. The design choices for the UI in the dialog are unfortunate and counter-intuitive, IMO. The functionality controlled by the current 'Keep Ratio' checkbox is similar to that in the 'scale image' dialog of gimp, but gimp uses the ubiquitous 'chain' button UI mechanism. Perhaps this defect should be closed and another opened for a UI change request, what do you think? - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [graphics-issues] [Issue 54369] Impress gets confused whe n applying slide design with same name
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=54369 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Sep 9 19:49:21 -0700 2005 --- Rob Johnston September 9, 2005 OOo version: 1.9.125 (Clean installation) OS: Windows XP SP2 Processor: P4 3.4 Ghz Mem: 1 Gig Here is an alternative set of replication steps: 1. Start new instance of Impress - select 'Empty presentation' radio button - select 'Create' button 2. Change 'Slide 1' background to another background besides 'Default' 3. Select File - Templates - Save - type Default in 'New Template' text box - select 'OK' 4. Close Impress and Start a new instance as in step 1 - If 'Slides' pane is not open Select it from the View menu 5. Create two or more 'Default' slides 6. Right click on one of the slides in 'Slides' pane - Select Slide Design - Load - Select 'Default' (template that was just created) - Select 'OK' 10. Two slides named 'Default' should be shown in the 'Slide Design' pane - slide on the left should be the actual Default slide - slide on the right is the newly created Default slide 11. Select slide on the right, Select 'OK' 12. All slides will change background to selected slide This problem is not restricted to just the 'Default' slide, for example it can be recreated using the 'lyt-darkblue' slide. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [graphics-issues] [Issue 54421] New - Default picture drag handle resizing behavior is incorrect
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=54421 Issue #:|54421 Summary:|Default picture drag handle resizing behavior is |incorrect Component:|Drawing Version:|OOO 2.0 Beta2 Platform:|PC URL:| OS/Version:|Linux Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|DEFECT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|editing Assigned to:|wg Reported by:|mendebrock --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Sep 9 20:02:58 -0700 2005 --- Currently, the default behavior of the picture resizing handles for my setup is to change the width and height independently of one another, leading to distorted images. I have to use a modifier key (in my case, Shift) to get the behavior of maintaining the Aspect Ratio of the original image. IMO, this keying assignment is backwards. I think that the program should be set up to keep the Aspect Ratio by default and to require the use of a modifier key to resize the height and width independently. BTW, the 'Shift' key modifier is, AFAIK, an undocumented keying sequence. I'm going to cross-reference this defect with a documentation request. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. One workaround is to save the template twice: once with a paragraph in the syle you've changed, which should fixate it; then deleting that text. This issue completes #i54111# To be complete : 1) nas is not needed on Mac OS X : I do not use it actually in my builds, and sound works. Maybe use it with (or without) pasf is interesting. No problem for me. 2) pasf is obligatory if you want to hear a sound. I propose to make available nas and pasf, up to you to choose in configure line : to build pasf use --enable-pasf to build nas : do nothing to disable nas, use --without-nas This way, you can build one, or two or none: up to you. [graphics-issues] [Issue 16334] slide show runs on incorr ect desktop with extended dekstop enabled
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=16334 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Sep 9 01:02:32 -0700 2005 --- I just want to confirm the problem for version 1.9.122 : I'm using a laptop (XP SP2) which is branched to a 19'' LCD monitor in the extended desktop mode. When opening OO it will always open on the primary screen (laptop). when draggin the window to the secondary screen (LCD) and then performing a slide show, the slide show will open on the primary screen. I can also confirm problems with menus. In generally extended desktop, with all programs I have used up to now, works rarely 100%, there are always at least some problems with the menues. However, with most programs problems can be minimizes when a) opening the program, dragging the window to the second screen, then exiting the program. The majority of programs will, when reopened in the same session, open on the screen where they have been closed, that is here the second screen. Doing this most of the menu problems disappear. OpenOffice, however, will always open on the first screen. I gues that is what creates the problems with the slide show and the menus Oliver - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=33847 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Sep 9 01:11:03 -0700 2005 --- I just want to confirm that this is still an issue in OO 1.9.122 having two presentations open and copying a slide in the first and trying to paste it at the insertion point in the slide sorter or the Slides bar of the normal view is not working, the pasted slide is always appended to the end of the presentation. This also happens when the slides have individual names (so I'm not pasting a Slide 2 into a presetation where a Slide 2 already exists). As dragging a slide in the slide sorter from the end to the insertino point is rather slow, especially when working in presentations with 50 slides, the described problem slows down the efficiency a lot. If I import the document TEST_IMPORT02.doc then the result looks good but if I change the style from heading to default then the text still has a numbering attached to it. - I believe that is incorrect. If I impor the document TEST_IMPORT02.doc then the result looks not ok. Even though the line is marked a heading 1 and the configuration in OO is set to do numbering for heading 1 I see no number. This might be ok as Winword also has no numbering. But the test was moved a little to the right and it is hard to get the text left centered again - I believe this is incorrect. Just the part for remapping is missing. I'm ok with your proposition of sending a keyboard event with a little part of code before xmodmap call. If ever Apple fixes this bug, of course we'll remove this part. Have you some code in mind ? Just Etsushi Kato reported me some secondary problems around remapping mod5, but it should be ok. He just was surprised to see his costomizations were modified. Maybe advice users we clear mod1 for mod5 ? 2) around the complete package : I'll have a look this week end, I cannot before. To build the launcher, xcodebuild can be used in commandline. :-) Theorically, just deliver and package is necessary after. As adviced by Tino, the supplementary code could be located in desktop (this has to be confirmed). Reminder : the launcher is a complete tree containing everything needed, it's a bundle This directory has the name OpenOffice.org2 (propose a better if you want), and must be located in /Applications/openoffice.org1.9.xxx , where xxx is the milestone. 3) The last part is the stuff containing icons, and some other necessary things, for what I'm still not exactly sure, because maybe the author and the licences have to be verified. Question : where find an official icons set ? I have icons, but from where are they coming ? 4) Missing : localizations strings - I'll ask on [EMAIL PROTECTED] and propose a process, so the people will just to provide me an archive containing the needed strings, else : en-US will just be default. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=53217 User cl changed the following: What|Old value |New value Assigned to|cl|wg --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Sep 9 03:02:49 -0700 2005 --- Ok, here is a dilemma. In the attached document the border settings in the default style are changed to 0. If you create a new document the default style contains border settings different to 0. That is way it looks different. Now to fix this 'issue' I would have to copy the objects with all styles hard formated. If I do so I get new issues by users who use styles. A solution would be to do the settings made to the styles also in the target document. I think we miss the feature to copy styles between presentations. But as I see it, this issue is not a bug - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. But in this case the user worked with styles, as he had changed the default style. So if the user wants to work with styles it would be an error to overide the styles while doing copy and paste. One of the main features of styles is that the pastet contents adapt to the 'style' of the target document. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
