[graphics-issues] [Issue 59427] Cordia would be a better choice of default font for Thai in Impress

Please decide whether changing the font is desireable or not. To me it is. Having sans-serif for western and serif for thai is not very straightforward and should be changed. Regarding adds fallbacks to NECTEC open source Thai fonts: I'm not convinced that a fallback should be added in the list of fonts to try for UI-font, (if it is a real fallback). So when these fonts can be used as a replacement for other, well-known fonts, then they should be added to the corresponding sources (I guess somewhere in gsl) so OOo can benefit from that fallback in regular documents as well. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [installation-issues] [Issue 55920] Installed dictionaries no t available after update
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=55920 User cloph changed the following: What|Old value |New value Keywords| |oooqa --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Jan 7 14:24:45 -0800 2006 --- Just FYI: rpm offers the concept of %config files. You can specify whether modified config files shall be replaced or kept (rpm will make a backup copy (file.rpmsave) if it replaces a modified config file or will install the new one next to the current one (file.rpmnew)). This can at least solve the dictionary problem: The user probably will have all the necessary files already installed, so even when OOo would ship with additional dictionaries in the future, the user would not care (either the user already has the dictionaries installed himself, or he doesn't need them at all). ### Another question: Is the dictionary.lst still necessary? Isn't it enough to disable the language-modules in Tools|Options → Language Settings? Or is there a difference? I have a similar mechanism like the pspfontcache in mind.. OOo could check the directory and cache its contents. (on each start OOo compares the mtime of the directory with the mtime of the cache, if mtime of dir is newer, reread and recache the contents (=filenames) of the dir). If new dictionaries were installed, ask the user whether to activate them or not. Any comments? - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
