Example: Thiis is a text. Is corrected to: this is a text. But should be: This is a text. This occurs for US_En and Swedish on my installation. [graphics-issues] [Issue 62559] New - message box for non- existing linked image files during presentatio n opening
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=62559 Issue #:|62559 Summary:|message box for non-existing linked image files |during presentation opening Component:|Presentation Version:|OOo 2.0 Platform:|All URL:| OS/Version:|All Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|DEFECT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|open-import Assigned to:|wg Reported by:|mikulik --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Feb 25 00:57:11 -0800 2006 --- Figures in presentations can be embedded or linked to a file. When opening presention with linked images, which do not exist (e.g. presentation copied without images), the following error dialog appears: /bla/file/something/figure1.png does not exist Opening of the presentation blocks until you click the OK button. That's rather offending if many images are missing. (Note: they may be missing for purpose, e.g. to speed up opening of OOo.) I propose: - don't block loading the presentation, continue on background, - don't issue a dialog for every missing file, with its name written as a label, but show a single window with (continuously updating) list of all missing files; allow to copy filenames to clipboard (currently impossible). Thanks for this fix enhancement. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I know this issue is closed [1], but it mentions an rfe ( sorry I dont't know what the rfe number is, I'll try to dig and see if I can find it if I get a chance ) [1] * the issue in question is imo wrongly closed, it does however mention that there is a ( as yet not found ) RFE associated with it. * the fix is extreemly trivial ( or so it seems from a glance ) * the present ( apparently works as specified ) behavior is imho very very wrong. * if you agree with the above statements, then it makes sense to fix this at the same time ( they are somewhat related ) Of course if I can do anything to make any of this happen quickly/easily etc. just let me know. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Creation fails and the warning no insert privileges is shown. To me this is a 2.0.2 release stopper. Regression wrt OOo 2.0.0. 1. Create a new Calc document. 2. Create a new Database, accepting defaults. 3. In Base, open the (empty) Tables panel. 4. In Calc, insert data in Sheet1: Name, Age, John, 50, Mary, 40. 5. Drag and Drop the Sheet1 tab from tha Calc Status bar to the Base Tables pane. 6. Guided import starts. Transfer all columns accepting defaults, then Create. Expected: 7. The table is created. Actual: 7. A warning is shown: Warning! No insert privileges - Continue anyway?. Whatever the answer, the table is created empty. Setting P2 as interoperability with Calc is a basic feature of Base. You can (1) add a column with primary key on the first step of import guide or (2) you can set a primary key in the third step. [dba-issues] [Issue 62561] Cannot create tables via Drag and Drop from Calc (no insert privileges )
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=62561 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Feb 25 07:00:34 -0800 2006 --- Your table must have a primary key is a workaround (and works), but is not a solution. If my table MUST have a primary key, this must be documented, and it isn't. If my table MUST have a primary key, the choice to do without one must be disabled or intercepted in a sensible way, and it isn't. If my table MUST have a primary key, something is wrong because Base normally accepts tables without a primary key. I can even remove the primary key after creation and everything works as expected, so the primary key is NOT needed and this is really just a workaround. If a feature breaks, we have a regression; if we have a regression, we have a defect. If a widely used feature like this breaks, we have a bad regression; if we have a bad regression, we have a bad defect, hence P2. Setting this as ENHANCEMENT is not quite right: I was asking to restore an existing functionality (OOo 2.0.0 behaves perfectly), not to enhance it. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. The version of OO is . . . openoffice.org-calc 2.0.1-2 OpenOffice.org office suite - spreadsheet obtained via apt-get. The problem is that when I import text with the text importer the save icon or save file menu option are not available. To reproduce this I open my spread sheet and highlight the text I want to import to my spreadsheet in an xtem such as 546f6e77dbbdee1b33c508c089ca0325 Jake_1.avi c19c711a0d024faa7cb3901aad154218 John_2.avi When I middle click on the spreadsheet it brings up the text importer where it defaults to fixed width. It knows how to import the text so I click OK. The text is then placed in the spreadsheet. The only option I can use to save is the save as function. However if I type in a cell or paste text in other ways the save icon and save file menu light up and I can use them to save the file with the current filename. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
