[sw-issues] [Issue 25483] Text jumping during vertic al scrolling drives me nuts

When scrolling from the bottom of one page to the top of the next in page layout mode, where there is a gap to show the page break, the page is going to have to jump by several lines, espcially if there are footnotes at the bottom of the previous page, and a header at the top of the next page. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Normal mode is ALSO necessary to make the cursor more directly under the control of the arrow keys but not sufficient. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 4914] normal view option needed

Although the footnotes should NOT be visible at the bottom of the page, because that would defeat the purpose of Normal mode, I still want to be able to refer to my notes while editing, as checking footnotes is an important part of the editing process. When Normal mode is implemented, please retain the option to edit the notes by clicking on the note index number in the text, and retain the option to view the notes as a Tooltip if that option is selected in preferences. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Armin, could you please take over, as you are the owner of B3dComplexPolygon. The error occurs during the paint call, long after all shapes are generated by the chart via the UNO API. After ignorance of the stackoverflow exception there is an AccessViolation during Region destructor (maybe the known vcl problem with exceptions during paint again!). Some more AccessViolations and in the end - ok my debug version does not crash immidiately - but only be by chance I guess. When trying to rotate the created diagram afterwards the whole Office shuts down immidiately. Integrate unicode charactor handling changes All MS-Windows specific projects should follow this convetion as well. And this contains vary large changes. Other parts can be handled one by one ... 4. With add I can add COMMANDS to the selected toolbar. Now I have an add-on that had generated a toolbar Add-on 1 with an icon. I would like to move that add-on to My toolbars. There is no way to get access to the macro in Add-on 1 except via command - Openoffice Macro - My Macros - But this way, I do not get the icon. My suggestion: Also list the toolbars und add and in a second listbox the content including icons. This way it should be easy to move an add-on in a diffenrent toolbar. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. No reason to shout here. This issue deals with exactly one problem (broken layout) and shows two symptoms of this problem. it was adressed by squeezing the UI strings a little for some languages. Fighting symptoms is the wrong way to deal with a problem. You should fix the layout of the dialog by not using fixed positions and dimensions but use a dynamic layout that automatically adopts to translated string lenghts, chosen fonts or dialog size changes. Then you don't need to fix translations anymore. there is bigger fish to catch at times and in the near future for OS The problem does not disappear just because you ignore it. By not fixing the problem you will notice its symptoms again and again. You need to think longterm. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [lingucomponent-issues] [Issue 65039] Legal review: mere aggrega tion of GNU GPL licensed dictionaries (ie. non -code data) into installation sets
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=65039 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Aug 26 16:16:22 -0700 2006 --- mh: What's the status of this issue? Currently the German dictionary is included in OOo, but not under the GPL but under a different license which allows distributing the word lists with software that uses OpenDocument as its primary format. This license does however not allow modification which basically makes it impossible to fix errors without the help of wordlist maintainer. This is not really acceptable. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Sometimes it needs three or four attempts to send my mail, before it is not rejected, sometimes I just resend it once. Today I tried five times without any chance to get the mail delivered and after reading the corresponding issues I sent it simultaneously to my other mail address where it was delivered. I'll attach the header of this mail to the issue so you hopefully can see if there is a address you could include in your whitelist. My mail address bernhardatfamilie-dippold.de is part of my website www.familie-dippold.de, hosted by Strato (www.strato.de). I will summarize here: User wants to open dBASEIV type file mismarked as MS Access file on Mac Platform. File can be obtained from Maricopa County Prosecutor's Office web site and is named DATA8000.dbf and is attached to issue. To use this file you should start OpenOffice.org 2.0.3 or m180. Click on New - Database file. In the wizard, select database, select connect to existing Database, dBASE. Select the location where this file is located at. Examine the tables area and there should be a table named DATA8000, but there is not. [dba-issues] [Issue 68738] Cannot open dBaseIV (.dbf) files
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=68738 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Aug 26 22:26:10 -0700 2006 --- @clu: I decided to dust off my old Windows machine and try to duplicate this. It worked as it is supposed to. I am reassigning this to the Mac OS X lead as a Mac only bug. Steps to reproduce if you want to try: Put the attached file in a known directory (Mine is on the Desktop) Open OpenOffice.org m180 (or 2.0.3 it is also affected). Select File - New - Database When the dialog opens, select connect to existing database type and select dBASE from the list. In the next screen which will ask where the files are located, click on Browse and then select the directory where the file is at. Click on save (I want to use the file as input to the Mail Merge functionality) When the database screen opens, click in Tables. There are no entries in this area and there should be at least the DATA8000 table from the conversion from dBASE to HBSQL data format.
