Line 1: Scheherazade AAT font (works well - except it doesn't have the beauty and naturalness of a Nastaliq type font). Line 2: Scheherazade OT font (note that the letters no longer join together properly in the OpenType font) Line 3: Noori Nastaliq OT font. (We now have dots ... I would apologize for filing the issue, but there is no way, looking at the screen, to tell which feature produced the little yellow box. The suggested solution will surely work for me, since I don't use AutoText. It might be a nuisance for those who use both features. This is one of those gray areas, of semi-bug, semi-feature-request. [sc-issues] [Issue 32684] Export to CSV
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=32684 User discoleo changed the following: What|Old value |New value CC|''|'discoleo' --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Oct 29 23:12:05 + 2008 --- As the csv is really an intermediary transport file used to transfer one sheet of data from the spreadsheet to another program, I strongly support adding the CSV-format to the EXPORT-possibilities. The csv can't support formatting nor formulas, BUT most importantly, only the *active sheet* is exported, so it is really ONLY an export, NOT a SAVE AS-functionality. I therefore strongly suggest to add this option to the EXPORT-dialog. This has some practical consequences. Basically, it is impossible to perform any sound statistics in Calc. At the same time, the ODF-format has become too complex to implement accurate readers (that mimic all its bugs and limitations) in professional statistic packages. It is therefore imperative to use a simple format for data-transfer, and csv is simply the best suited one (tab-delimited data is another one). I therefore strongly hope that this enhancement gets implemented in Calc. Basically, the export-dialog should have both PDF and CSV as options. Selecting CSV should export the active sheet, using the sheet-name as default name. The status of the ods-file should not change (i.e. do not set changed status). That's it. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Occasionally I would rename an image. Then the image doesn't show up in the OO document, and is replaced with an error message containing the full path "/home/.../top/image/image1.png" to where the file was, starting at root, "/". In 3.0, I edited a file in the test directory, linking to images in the images directory, then moved the test.odt file to the "top" directory. Now, when I open test.odt, the images in the document are replaced by error messages with the path to the image altered to "/home/.../top/image1.png". If, as seems to be the case, that storing path names as relative paths is now important, then please include an option to store the path as an absolute path, because it's important to be able to reference a central image repository. Because of this change, it looks like I now have to replace around 100 links to the images...manually! - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Presume your main concern is about the change to P3. The change was based on no data loss, only formatting loss and there is an 'easy' workaround (don't click on the background tab). You can even get the default back (create a new style with all the other attributes and reassign content to the new style) which is messy, time-consuming and ought to be unnecessary, but is possible. Thus, P3 seemed about right. Also, AFAIK, this is the only report of the problem - I did do a search - so it's not troubling many people (or they haven't noticed perhaps). - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Sounds like one of the rare cases where the driver advertizes a max texture size the hardware actually cannot handle. From what I read on the net, this laptop has very little graphics ram (specs go down to 8mb), so this appears plausible. Since on DirectX side, nothing substantial changed from 2.4.1 to 3.0 _except_ compiler environment, would be interesting to know whether Win2K might be part of the problem - do the other machines have exactly the same Windows as well (including DirectX version)? Going further, it might be interesting to move away, one after another, the directx5canvas.uno.dll in OpenOffice.org\Basis 3.0\program, then restore it, remove directx9canvas.uno.dll. Both times, see if, with enabled hw acceleration, the problem persists. Both can update/overwrite each others files and get no warning this has happened. Similarly, if user A has 00o 2.x, and user B has OOo 3.0, this behaviour is shown opening native ODF files or .xls, etc. files. User B opens the file as R/W, user A can also open the file R/W. Both can overwrite each others data and never know it has happened. If an Excel user has an .xls file open, the OOo 3.0 user can open the file R/W, make changes, but is then unable to save the changes without doing a Save As (shows general I/O error). When testing, I tried multiple settings for file locking with the Samba share, but was unable to come up with anything that would alleviate this behaviour. Standard setup for us is oplocks = yes, level 2 oplocks = yes, veto oplocks on .xls files (tried with this off and made no difference), strict locking=no (tried with this option as yes and made no difference), csc policy = manual - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. The document has originally been written in Word, and the only visible difference when opening it in Writer (besides formatting issues), is the picture in the title page. I've grouped two pictures and added them to the document. Grouping was done using OOo Draw, due to this bug: http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=28125 After exporting back to doc, and opening it in Word, things start looking a lot different. First, there is no header after the page with the TOC. And second, the grouped image is not visible at all. Only the caption and empty space remain. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. All OS and platforms. Adjusting fields. Another scenario: - When shrinking the window width, the Zoom slider will "vanish" first. -> Although there is "unused" or "less important" items in the status bar I think that when shrinking a window, the Zoom slider shall be the "last thing" to vanish. Adjusting summary to reflect the findings. Proposal: Think of a "vanish order" for the status bar items. SBA->FME: For you or for PB? Apparently archeology is an acceptable spelling but it is relatively uncommon: 22 million web hits for archaeology vs. 4.8 million for archeology. The top result for "archeology" is "archAeology.com". The Wikipedia article is titled "archaeology". I have two textbooks which use "archaeology" in the title. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
