Tomorrow afternoon, I will be in a work trip to Trinidad city and I think to
be operating from EL91 or maybe from FL01 on the 2014utc AO-27 pass. The
operation depend If I find a place with a decent horizon view, it is a only
10 degrees pass for me.

[amsat-bb] Re: "Dee" Interdonato

2012-04-09 Thread Gould Smith

It is with great sadness that I learned of Dee's passing today.

Dee was a long time friend and hard working AMSAT volunteer. He took his
AMSAT Area Coordinator position seriously, by continuously representing
AMSAT at many, many hamfests over the years. He was a primary resource in
responding to questions via the Web site and people calling the AMSAT
office. You could always depend upon Dee to help out at the AMSAT booth at
Dayton each year. He and Ginny would attend the yearly AMSAT Symposiums and
Dee would many times be at the AMSAT Board Meetings. Every three weeks Dee
would put together the ANS and distribute it.

Dee will be sorely missed.

My condolences to Ginny and the family.

Besides his work with AMSAT, I remember Dee as being one of the examiners who

I last spoke with Dee on 3/26/12 asking me, with his trademark enthusiasm,

when is your next Hamfest. He was an outstanding ambassador for AMSAT and

space development,” which mirrors last week's official launch announcement.

The satellite will broadcast remote data in the UHF band and video in the
X-band, the ITU quoted the DPRK’s notification as saying.

[amsat-bb] Anyone in Cancun?

2012-04-09 Thread Bryan Green (KL7CN)
Hello, all:

I shall be in Cancun this week, at one of the resorts there. Although I have
not arranged for a reciprocal license and will thus not be on the air, I would
very much like to connect with any local amateurs. Anyone in the area? Please
let me know! E-mail would be best for response.
