RE: [analog-help] Requests Report
Actually, the BASEURL didn't do it for me, I had to use the 2nd parameter for the LOGFILE command as explained below: There is also an optional second argument to the LOGFILE command, which specifies a prefix to add to all the filenames in that logfile. This is useful if you've got several different servers or virtual hosts, when the same filename may occur on each of the servers. For example, LOGFILE mydomain.log http://www.mydomain.com Now, I see it in my *.dat file created from Analog. Here is a clip: https://claws.sxu.edu/datatel/openweb/startovermsg.html r lRbD1 22 0.019 200206 11 10 55 Yet, the html file that is created using Report Magic doesn't incorporate this! My REQUEST.html clip for this line is: td class=alt1a href=/datatel/openweb/startovermsg.html target=_topb/datatel/openweb/startovermsg.html/b/a/tdtd class=alt1 align=RIGHTb35/b/td Any idea why the *.dat file doesn't seem to be translating correctly when I use Report Magic??? -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Aengus Sent: Friday, June 14, 2002 5:28 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [analog-help] Requests Report Christine Rorer [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I have just downloaded Analog 5.23 and am beginning to use it. Leave out the indented items when adding up the total in the Request Report! Aha!! I see the Light! I can adjust my spreadsheet report so they can see how many views each indented /file.html?args is getting and reduce the number of the main /file.html requests. [analog-help] Requests Report shows much higher number than Summary
Hello All, I used the following to eliminate requests from both my clients LAN and from my computer and internal referrals on all reports. HOSTEXCLUDE REFSITEEXCLUDE REFLINKEXCLUDE REFEXCLUDE REFREPEXCLUDE REQEXCLUDE HOSTREPEXCLUDE MY PROBLEM: The total of the requests in the Request Report is substantially higher than the requests in the Summary report. EXAMPLE: Last month the Summary shows the following: Successful requests: 29,809 Average successful requests per day: 961 Successful requests for pages: 29,457 Average successful requests for pages per day: 950 Failed requests: 1,357 Redirected requests: 245 Distinct files requested: 1,131 Distinct hosts served: 5,761 But when I add the totals of the requests in the Request Report the total is 43,142 I am not a highly experienced Analog user and not a novice either. But, I guess I haven't mastered the ins and outs of all the INCLUDES and EXCLUDES. The Request Report only includes pages that I want reported on - I have used EXCLUDE commands for file types I don't want in the Request Report. I have used the following commands to INCLUDE certain file types in the Request Report: REQINCLUDE pages REQINCLUDE *.php* PAGEINCLUDE *.shtml PAGEINCLUDE *.asp PAGEINCLUDE *.jsp PAGEINCLUDE *.mv PAGEINCLUDE *.cfm PAGEINCLUDE *.pl PAGEINCLUDE *.php PAGEINCLUDE *.php3 PAGEINCLUDE *.php4 PAGEINCLUDE *.pdf PAGEINCLUDE *.doc I need to get this figured out fast - my report for last month is overdue and I am scratching my head! :) Thanks for any advice you can offer.
