2018-03-22 Thread Niranjan Karunanandham
Hi Himasha,

The GIt repository of Product EI is not updated. There couple of issues
labeled as 6.2.0[1] and also the label Severity/Major or Severity/Critical.
Are these fixed in 6.2.0 release? If not, it would be better to change the
label.

 Hi,

 *EI pack*
I tested the cache mediator which is a rewrite in EI 6.2.0.

- Tested if all the settings are working as expected in positive
cases
- Tested if they are behaving appropriately if the configurations
are not set properly.
- Tested some known issues in cache mediator on json payload

[+] Stable - to release the EI pack

 *Devstudio-cache mediator tooling*
I tested the dev-studio tooling for the same. I was trying to set the
cache collector to true and false and didn't find any UI config to do so:

I think it is very important to have this. I can set it in the source
and when I set collector= true in the source I get the following:

There's no way to change it to false in the tooling.
[-1] for releasing the tooling with cache mediator because it is
important to be able to specify collector=true or false.

Correct me if I am mistaken in any of the above tests.

Further some implementation of configs are missing[1], but it will be
released as updates which is fine.

 *Devstudio installation instruction*
Further we need to mention in docs that we need to enable the
following[2] when installing devstudio in a gnome system:

 #Export Following

 export SWT_GTK3=0

This is because Ubuntu 18.04 LTS would be in gnome.

 *WSO2 EI Documentation*
I think that we need to update the EI 6.2.0 documentation[3] with the
available new configs: *enableCacheControl* and *includeAgeHeader*
 before the release.

Hi Riyafa,

Thank you for testing the Developer Studio pack. We are still in the
process of creating tooling distributions for RC2. Since we identified
following issues with RC1 distributions, we have added the relevant fixes
for RC2 tooling distributions.

Hi all,

I have tested the following with EI RC 2 pack

1 - Configuring analytics profile and publishing data for proxy services.
2 - Configuring broker profile and sending messages to a queue.
3 - Creating WSO2MB & JMS Inbound endpoints and fetching messages from the
queue.
4 - Deploying data service samples.

I have found no blockers so far.

+1 for release.

Thanks
Nirothipan

Re: [Architecture] [Dev] [VOTE] Release WSO2 Enterprise Integrator 6.2.0 RC2

2018-03-17 Thread Riyafa Abdul Hameed
Hi,

*EI pack*
I tested the cache mediator which is a rewrite in EI 6.2.0.

   - Tested if all the settings are working as expected in positive cases
   - Tested if they are behaving appropriately if the configurations are
   not set properly.
   - Tested some known issues in cache mediator on json payload

[+] Stable - to release the EI pack

*Devstudio-cache mediator tooling*
I tested the dev-studio tooling for the same. I was trying to set the cache
collector to true and false and didn't find any UI config to do so:

I think it is very important to have this. I can set it in the source and
when I set collector= true in the source I get the following:

There's no way to change it to false in the tooling.
[-1] for releasing the tooling with cache mediator because it is important
to be able to specify collector=true or false.

Correct me if I am mistaken in any of the above tests.

Further some implementation of configs are missing[1], but it will be
released as updates which is fine.

*Devstudio installation instruction*
Further we need to mention in docs that we need to enable the following[2]
when installing devstudio in a gnome system:

#Export Following

export SWT_GTK3=0

This is because Ubuntu 18.04 LTS would be in gnome.

*WSO2 EI Documentation*
I think that we need to update the EI 6.2.0 documentation[3] with the
available new configs: *enableCacheControl* and *includeAgeHeader* before
the release.
