no problem, you can take 2-3 days. you can give other
good songs of other music directors also. basically i
am mad about the music but due to lack of time i am
unable to give time. i travel everyday morning and
evening 1 hr in the bus where i enjoy the music.

listening itself. These can be observed only if you
pay more attention & possible only with the head
phones. Apart from all, I sincerely read all your
kutti "Genuis" reviews with great interest. I dont
know anything about MUSIC technically.

Hi Shahul

It was an excellent review... i come from Shenzhen that day for the
show.. One intersteing thing happened while coming.. i was at HK
customs after china customs.. The custom officer asked me ," How long
you are going to stay in HK", i said.. i am going for the concert and
will back the same night.. He asked, who is performing?, i said its AR
Rahman( feel so proud) he seems to be know ARR.. he asked," the show
is today", i said, "yes, i have the tickets with me" and then ask," Is
he very famous in india?" i said.. not in india, he is popular in all
over the world and i just smilingly tell.. You can just check on
google for AR Rahman and you will get a lot of info.. and he was
smiling...

Actually HK customs people dont talk much and always keeping a serious
face.. but that day seems to be special!

i even printed a small poster with ARR image and signature space for
get the autograph from ARR, but it seems i cannot get near him..
sad. :(
Shahul, did u meet ARR personally .. or able to get his pic..?
but still didnt loose heart.. may be in future...

Sankar Mahadevan "In between Rahman cracked some decent jokes and he was answering thecrowds too , some guys from the back were shouting " We want tamilsongs " and Rahman was answering " Iruku Iruku Ellam Iruku " and he
was also remembering his previous visits to Hong Kong and said hisSon and himself born on the same Date " 6th January "Also mentioned he is coming to hong kong from Toronto which is -20'Cand Hong Kong is around 18-20'C.
The instrument players were very little when it compared with hisother concert.ALMA was singing a song from WOHE ( English ), Bombay Dreams and asong which Rahman Composed for BANYAN ( Performed first time ).
Rahman himself announced that " For the people who are stillsearching for Rahman.. its me .. due to Haji Visit i had to shave somany of you may not recogzise me" whole people started to laugh and

it was realy superb.. and realy gave the effect of being in sometropical forest ... and later he sung the song in Carnatic Style..hehe people started to shout .. n and we want the original one..and Sankar asked people to Dance if they want the original version
t.. and everyone .. from 6 to 60 almost everyone started to dance ..Rahman sung the tamil version while Sankar was in Hindi Version.Vennilavey from Minsara Kanavu (Sapney) rendered by Sadana Sargamand Hariharan, it was in both Tamil and Hindi too , Hariharan
started the song in Hindi and Sadana was singing in Tamil.Mayil Iragey from Aa Aah rendered by Naresh & Madhusree, wow i neverexpect Naresh to be too young, it was realy nice to have him on thisbeautiful evening.. even after the show everyone praised him on his
beautiful performence ..Rahman Introduced Naresh and saying he have worked many songs withthis young fellow.Blaze - was rocking.. he made some special lyrics for Hong Kongpeoples and sung them in between..
Kail Lesh Khar - Though his voice is very folk.. but his contumealso ? hehe yes he dressed in very typical folk style .. and manypeoples were shouting.. Hey Kudumu.. hey Lungi etc..etc.. and KailLesh Khar was enjoying the whole show and gave good response to the
audience.Secret Of Success from Boys - Rahman, Naresh, Blaze and Chorus ..wow it was realy nice and had lots of extra inputs in this songwhich was simply great and only this legend can improve the music
within a minute..Sivamani entertained the whole audience with his magicalrhythems he started with chant and ended with Folk beats... inbetween he had played almost all varieties.. he is simply the best

hey saras,i didnt mean the two films (in each category) alone.i meant all the releases from ROJA to GODFATHER. same holds good with HINDI releases too.everyone have an unique taste. that's y MINDBLOWING album like godfather has some unbelivable reviews too. let me give me u a suggestion. just browse all the collection of the musical genius. u will get to know the songs that caught u in particular. pile them as a genuine collection.

hehehe, didn't know a review of mine would be taken so seriously. Anyways, since my "taste in music" is under scrutiny now, I think I owe you guys a few explanations.I'm about as crazy a Rahmaniac as they come, and you may check out my archives if you have doubts about it. (Shameless self-promotion of my blog.. I know! :P )
Right till my school days, I blindly accepted whatever Rahman composed as the best he's ever done. Including Parasuram! And I've gotten a flak for my blind devotion to the man. I think (rather, I hope!) I've become a little more sensible in the last 2 or 3 of years. And this period converges with the time Rahman's music has taken on a new dimension. His international exposure has done wonders for him, and it's probably now than any other time ever, that I could blindly stamp every composition of his as a product of sheer genius.
That's why the music of Godfather got this reaction from me. It's a cute album, I've already acknowledged that. It's got some really peppy songs, and that's probably increased my fondness for the album. But I still do think a coupla songs aren't up to Rahman's standards.
Kaatril is a neat melody by itself. But the kinda orchestration Rahman's used for it, with the pretty cliched tabla rhythm, didn't strike a chord in me. If I'd listened to this song for the first time on a radio, I wouldn't have said it's a Rahman song. It lacked his stamp of class. The "Hey Sahiba" chant, in my opinion, was pretty pedestrian for his standards.
I'm not a music aficionado. I don't know the intricacies of music. But I can sense a Rahman track a mile away, blindfolded. :) You may go ahead and blame my lack of knowledge, but I guess I'm still entitled to my opinion.

As for Kamma Kariyille, I loved it! That's why it's rated as my 3rd favourite song in the album. Yikes. I should stop giving these long-winded justifications! Sorry :) and thanks if you've patiently read through!

i like to say that some vijay fans who wants to spoil ajits 
reputation  in turn spoiling arr songs by posting dissapointing 
green green reviews .please do not allow that to spoil our maestro's 
reputation
 

 gf songs are the talk of the town. every other music director who 
just sustained  by giving dapankuthu songs are shocked to see 
splendid performance by arr.they see arr coming back very strongly 
to his position .

my review and ranking

1) illamai and innisai (both all time best of arr)
2)theeyil (makes u cry )
3) katril(excellently sung by spb and sadhana)
4) thotapuram(nothing exceptional -but will be most popular among 
masses)
5)ooh aah (good fast number- has to be ranking 5 because of 
exceptional songs at the top)

i completely agree with u... golden songs of the musical genius are completely shelved. as u said, all craps hit the public through the television channels. as u said, ARR has AGAIN proved himself as a mass music director for sure. 

 
people who have written average reviews about GF will again write to us that the songs are extremely catchy after seeing the film or when the songs pick up in the television. it was obvious in RDB... that's the magical spell of ARR.

 
after the film is released and kamma kamma song is aired in television, we will definitely find the whole TN murmoring and hummin that song along with thathom thom thom

1. when GF was signed there was a conception that all the songs would be remakes from meenaxi, legend of bhagath singh (mahivae - duet) etc etc...
2. in between there was a disaster as far as the film is concerned. some remarks were, the film was shelved, film was postponed because of the busy schedule of the musical genius and many more...
3.film was slated for a release last deepavali. then was another conception that film was again withheld due to financial constraints etc etc.. then to soothe us came a 01:45 min trailer. the clarity of the trailer that we got was not that good to feel the greatness of the music. 

4. next came the 03:25 min trailer which depicted the excerpts of almost all the songs in the film. that was a very soothing fact. the review for the music after hearing the music was excellent. v came to know that the music and songs have not been remade from any rahmanical source or songs. another notable fact was all the songs had some sort of a catchy music that was portrayed in the trailer. for example, the illami song intro music was used superbly in the beginning and the end of the trailer. also, the musical genius' cry in theeyil vizuntha song gained a great appeal over the masses. the alap ah ah  gained significant recognition along with its catchy thaterical music, the catchy thathom thomthom thom bit and  kaatril song interlude music was also used in the trailer. overall, the music was fresh and we even felt it. 

before reviweing each song, let me putforth some points which are worthy to be considered.
1. music is FRESH and rejuvenating. 2. of late, an exhilerating musical from the musical genius.3. VARIETY of the songs and percussions is also another facet of the album.
4. really, those who claim the songs are remakes - they have to be whipped off. really guys, u will get such a feel when u hear all these extraordinary compositions. scoring music is a gift that someone has. scoring hit songs is definitely a brilliance. scoring variety in all songs in an intention to satisfy all those fans irrespective of anything everything and to give the songs a great feeling, touch, compositions, percussional touch, the flavor of excellence in a subtle rhythemical sense man, ONLY the musical genius would do it. and of course he did it! 

how this musical album is different from other musicals of the genius himself..
let me confess with u guys.. when i heard RDB, i knew that songs would definitely appeal to the masses but i thought that "it needs time". ofcourse, it needed time and its a blockbuster now!!!
when i heard ah aah aah (anbae aaruyirae).. i was pleased by the intro song sung by the musical genius, attracted towards mayiliragae in third to fourth time of hearing, and then varugirai and maramkothiyae songs entering into senses later. the SPECIALITY of GF remains in the following fact: 

some part of every song in the album was neatly involved in the trailer and it immediately caught the masses. as i already mentioned there was some elemental memerisation in every song. belive me guys, all the songs (either the pallavi or anupallavi or saranam of the song) were appealing in the first hearing of the songs. i had the feeling that the musical has something great to deliver. result: it delivers than what had ought to do... in other words, BREAK THE BARRIERS of musical extravagance! these r not words but the feel that i get from my heart after hearing GF for almost 50 - 60 times (or may be more). as i type this review, i m hearing the GF songs... (theeyil vizhuntha song sung amazingly by ARR is playing)... 

THE ALBUM IS GEM OF ITS KIND... ACCORDING TO ME, A BEST MUSICAL AFTER KANDUKONDAEN KANDUKONDAEN... i havent written such a long review for any musical. even for any of the ARR's musical. but this album motivates me to write on and on... 

okay let me start the review of the songs in the album. i m going to start the review with theeyil vizhuntha song as it's my favorite song in recent years. more of its review below. i m not going to rate every song. all songs surely score the maximum

understand the language but can sing Rahman's songs in sync with rehearsed
perfection.
"They don't even need to look at the notes. They sing even the
Urdu words with so much passion that you would think America's resistance to
anything Islamic is a myth," says Srinivas Krishnan, artistic director of the
Global Rhythms ensemble.
"I had kept it low profile, almost like a secret, for nine
years: just building it, handpicking musicians from all over America. We started
with 20 people and now we have about 200, and look at them," he adds excitedly,
presenting video clips of near flawless performances by the ensemble.
Srinivas, himself a percussionist, has decided to take Indian
music to the West by giving it the flavours of the world.
Hence, it's Indian film music with percussion influences from
African, Israeli and even American folk.
The ensemble has been touring universities all over America to
popularise their brand of world music, a representative of cultures and music
from all over the world.
Recently, Srinivas was at the Indian Institute of Technology,
Madras, to show the students clippings from the Global Rhythms in concert during
the Rang De Basanti movie screening on campus, organised in association
with A.R. Rahman and Global Rhythms.
"Rahman has encouraged us with so much support. It is his
vision to reach out to the musicians at the grassroots of America. These
musicians are not just from the big cities, they are from the small towns, truly
representative of America," says Srinivas.
Rahman will tour with the ensemble this summer for a couple of
concerts in the US. "We will surely be coming to India too, just a matter of

hi ppl

 i have been reading reviews about godfather.i would say that every
song in godfather deserves a applause .The orchestration was good .but
ppl reviewing it in this fashion is something worrying .so how did the
media appreciate kadhalvirus meenaxi tehzeeb kks ??songs with the
dappankuthu seal carried well with the media .ppl cant just blame
godfather.why should a class album be given   by rahmanji without
appreciation frm ppl.A mass album like godfather can reach well than
kks r udaya .its not abt tunes its about the survival .with the new
music directors using djmixes and beats tht irritate our ears why cant
 rahmanji proove he is also the best mass music creator...

  one more question if ppl like us write reviews abt
rahmanji's albums in this fashion tell me how others will relish his
music ??moreover in a country with tv's playing cheap music u cant
expect albums like kv, kks ,r paarthaleparavasam being declared a
hit!i am not rude but  have outspoken what i felt .sry fellows>>>

as  i always say azhage sugama was played 10 times in tv so far where
as  manmatha raasa has been played some 500 times.so when the myth
here says a song that is  played  500 times  a hit bter go with  it!!!

Hey all... i tried working out this particular song some time back (when it was released). and yes it is in C#. (can be played in any scale though...of course) will try to post whatever i can when i get back to my keyboard...which i have not quite played with been a while sadly...:-( and the song is/seems to be based on a raag called Hamsadhwani or Hansadhwani ( i think) which is in on Bilawal thaat (all sudh swars - please technnical gurus, correct me if i'm wrong) Sa Re Ga Pa Ni Sa'. - Aaroha (Accent) Sa' Ni Pa Ga Re Sa - Avroha (Decent) The vaadi is Sa ( if i can recall) and ARR has used Sa quite a bit in that. it starts like... Yeh Joh Des Hai Tera (partial notes)G# C C# C# C# C# ... (check the number of times you play C#..maybe more or something!,...writing from memory!) Pa Ni Sa Sa Sa Sa ( see the Aaroha Sa Re Ga Pa Ni Sa) where G# = Pa C = Ni C# = Sa (note the emphasis on Sa = Vaadi)
and in other places Sa is emphasised quite many times... look this is just from memory...so may be (more than) a bit sketchy...but will try to get other notes as well...later though...but please that would be how I heard and interpeted and worked it out...can't say will be/ is infallible...! so all errors mine! needless to say this is just another gem from ARR... keep contributing...! cheers...  genius' cry in theeyil vizuntha song gained a great appeal over the masses. the alap ah ah  gained significant recognition along with its catchy thaterical music, the catchy thathom thomthom thom bit and  kaatril song interlude music was also used in the trailer. overall, the music was fresh and we even felt it.   before reviweing each song, let me putforth some points which are worthy to be considered.  1. music is FRESH and rejuvenating. 2. of late, an exhilerating musical from the musical genius.3. VARIETY of the songs and percussions is also another facet of the album.4. really, those who claim the songs are remakes - they have to be whipped off. really guys, u will get such a feel when u hear all these extraordinary compositions. scoring music is a gift that someone has. scoring hit songs is definitely a brilliance. scoring variety in all songs in an intention to satisfy all those fans
 irrespective of anything everything and to give the songs a great feeling, touch, compositions, percussional touch, the flavor of excellence in a subtle rhythemical sense man, ONLY the musical genius would do it. and of course he did it!   how this musical album is different from other musicals of the genius himself..  let me confess with u guys.. when i heard RDB, i knew that songs would definitely appeal to the masses but i thought that "it needs time". ofcourse, it needed time and its a blockbuster now!!!  when i heard ah aah aah (anbae aaruyirae).. i was pleased by the intro song sung by the musical genius, attracted towards mayiliragae in third to fourth time of hearing, and then varugirai and maramkothiyae songs entering into senses later. the SPECIALITY of GF remains in the following fact:   some part of every song in the album was neatly involved in the trailer and it immediately caught the masses. as i already
 mentioned there was some elemental memerisation in every song. belive me guys, all the songs (either the pallavi or anupallavi or saranam of the song) were appealing in the first hearing of the songs. i had the feeling that the musical has something great to deliver. result: it delivers than what had ought to do... in other words, BREAK THE BARRIERS of musical extravagance! these r not words but the feel that i get from my heart after hearing GF for almost 50 - 60 times (or may be more). as i type this review, i m hearing the GF songs... (theeyil vizhuntha song sung amazingly by ARR is playing)...   THE ALBUM IS GEM OF ITS KIND... ACCORDING TO ME, A BEST MUSICAL AFTER KANDUKONDAEN KANDUKONDAEN... i havent written such a long review for any musical. even for any of the ARR's musical. but this album motivates me to write on and on...   okay let me start the review of the songs in the album. i m going to start the review with theeyil vizhuntha

The enjoyment while listening to Godfather is bountiful. I lose myself. 
I cannot press skip on any song. It has been quite a while since I
have done that. Each song seems better than the previous and each
listening only enhances the pleasure.

I am glad that the music has finally released. It would have been
criminal to shelve such divine music.

plainly, the review by the two bloggers sucks. i really dont know what more do they want from the musical genius.
 
understand that every album with ARR's tag is very refershing. even if an album which has got all elements in it doesnt appeal to masses, i really worry how people would take the most expected album "sivaji". even a minor flaw will be spoken for months but not the major attraction. what a sensitive public! people cheer up kalvanin kaadhali and other crap. really pathetic. what a taste?!

hi frnds what happened to this blogger to push kaatril song to utter crap status. its sad for he cud not even take it to melody and he says Vaaila green greena varudhu - means he must have munched some spinach before he was listening to this song. it seems every other alternate person is dissatisfied abt some song in GF. we wonder how dir.ravikumar is not keen in this project as what he presented in padayappa, thenali etc. in terms of music and might be so many interferences & opinions from many persons who are working for the GF-film but not in the music area have gone in during the compositions thats why its not sounded as ARR's full preference & choice of songs. Otherwise it wud have been more rich. Parthiban, that is my concern with every ARR film.  Countless songs of
his have had poor picturizations.  What kind of director does not get
inspired for creative picturization by ARR's music?

Hey guys God Father is simply amazing I dont need to validate this as
everybody has listened to it or else read other peoples comments...

My pick would be everything i dont know whcih one I would choose...
But I like Theeyil especially the arr high pitch weird sound he makes,
innisai all the jathis and how all the back voices sound as one and
how the carnatic usage is wonderfuland the illmai song whihc has
some inetesrting new sounds in it... and of course thottapuram which
is just amazing! I will rate this album a 100% amazing simply
amazing
and please guys stop comparing it with old albums...every album has
its own flavour and own name... let GF be GF music than just comparing
with the other arr classics

Anyways my concern is that the song picturization just sucks... Its
not doing justice to the music... all the songs just look like other
songs u watch in tv... becuase of that the good music is been let
down.. I think of what I saw the thottapuram song was the worse...then
kaatril which has similarities of the snehidane song picturization and
I think only innisai would be better... Why do directors do this
seriosuly? why cant they do soemthing new and different... its like
SJSurya killing that mayilirage song and the aararai kodi song and the
other songs from AH AAh... 

anyways the Interview clip is awesome! what are your thoughts on this
people?

and now its songs, composed by the prolific music composer A.R. Rahman,

Aslam; music: A.R. Rahman. The film is declared a blockbuster and now
this rhythm-based song puts "Rang De Basanti" on a musical high. 2.
"Boombai Nagariya" - Film: "Taxi No.9211"; singer: Bappi Lahiri; music:
Vishaal-Shekhar. A new entrant on the list, this track marks the
comeback of music composer Bappi Lahiri as a singer.3.
"Right here right now" - Film: "Bluffmaster"; singers: Abhishek
Bachchan and Sunidhi Chauhan; music: Vishal-Shekhar. The hugely popular
rap song that remained on the top for more than a month is now losing
its charm, sliding to number three this week.4.
"Jiya dhadak dhadak jaaye" - Film: "Kalyug"; singer: Rahat Fateh Ali
Khan; music: Faisal Rafi, Rohail Hyat. Music buffs have hugely
appreciated this song so reminiscent of the soft, romantic numbers of

"Fanaah" - Film: "Hum Ko Deewana Kar Gaye"; singer: Kay Kay; music

Did you all notice ARR's vocals in Uuuu Waaa
IInd Interlude & Inisai "Ezhuvai"  thananna... Or is
it Gulam Murtuza or Qader khan?

Uuuuv W has got the same aha aha sound
like RDB title track.  Shows Maestro's play at
different genres folk to bhangra and vice versa.

In Theeyil, ARR taking a sudden drift towards 
"thangam pol" from  "H(Y)EAH" every third time is
terrific and very very innovative. :oops:  :oops: 

What is the instrument playing throughout the Ilamai
song & RDB title track "ding dingu". Very Crisp. It
raises magnificiently from the Ist Interlude of RDB
title track.

Innisai:  In the start There are three : Vocal "thom
thom", miriudhangham & another instrument (:?played
with mouth & fingers) playing the same chord exactly
is truly awesome.

first and formost let me introduce myself
i'm pungundran and currently in malaysia
i've been a member of this club for 3 years but a silent member.
i'm compelled to post here after the audio of gf came out
it is not out in malaysia yet but i'm waiting patiently for it
so while waiting i'm listening to it in raaga
i can just tell on thing here
one of the best albums arr has ever came out with and it is so 
spellbounding that i've already listened to the songs at least 20 
times since yesterday and yet i can't never get enough of it
this is the rahman's touch
as someone said earlier, arr's compositions take long to grow in you 
but gf grows the moment you listen to it
thank you arr for this masterpiece
such a soothing effect foer me especially before sitting for my exams
arr rocks, arr rulez!!!

Hi Guys

Just back from the concert.. only one word.. Amazing... everything was
perfect... ARR looks cool in his short hair & white dress.. As always
he was cracking jokes in his own way.. 

The concert started half an hour late.. the hall was packed .. ARR
Blasted of the show with the songs '"Fanna" .. It was amazing.. 

The songs Were : Fanna, Dil Se, Roja janeman, Chinnama Chilakamma,
Bombay Theme, Loves Never Easy, WOHE Song( English version), Ghanan
Ghanan, Enna solli pokirai, Roobaroo, Saathiya, Snehitane, Khalbali,
Mangal Mangal, Yu hi Chala Chal .. Sandha Kozi... ...Banyan Song ( for
the charity trust called banyan, who care the mentally ill womens) and
more.. 

Alka Yagnik, Sadhana Sargam and Hariharan did a Unplugged version of
Tu hi Re ( Uyire), Oh re chori..

The main treat was the humma Humma song.. wow the whole audience was
dancing on it... kids, girls.. boys.. mens.. all.. The Blaze  did a
Rap in it to.. It was one of the amazing experience 

one more which stand out is the Sivamani's drum.. People were
spellbound by his skill... My chinese collegue was thrilled when
shivamani played the drums.. 

i can see other foriegn peoples are enjoying the songs..

It was a nice experience ..  an expenience to remember.. to cherish..
Seeing   ARR with my own eyes..

Waiting for Rahman while Yuvan scores again

Yuvan Shankar Raja is still rocking with "Pudupettai" and "Kalvanin Kadhali". Not far behind is Vidyasagar with "Thambi" and "Poi". But the album that is eagerly awaited is A.R. Rahman's "Godfather".

1. "Kalvanin Kadhali" (Yuvan Shankar Raja): The song sung by Yuvan and Sadhana Sargam - "Eno kangal" - is a huge hit with youngsters. This album is sure to be a bigger hit once the film releases.

2. "Pudupettai" (Yuvan Shankar Raja): What can one write about "Pudupettai" again and again? The album may figure in this list even after the film releases in April. It surely has class.

3. "Poi" (Vidyasagar): The audio launch of K. Balachander's 101st film was one of the biggest events of 2006 with Kamal Haasan and Rajnikant attending it. The wide coverage in the papers has given a lot of publicity to this sweet album.

4. "Thambi" (Vidyasagar): This is a new entrant and again, the music is by Vidyasagar. It seems the Tamil music industry has only two composers: Yuvan and Vidyasagar! The song "Poovanathil maram" by Jayachadran and Swarnalatha is topping the charts.

5. "Sandakozhi" (Yuvan Shankar Raja): The song "Davani potta deepavali" by Vijay Yesudas and Shreya Ghoshal can still be heard all the time on radio.

Hi Gopal..

Its Me Rajesh from SZ China.. i went to HK for the concert and when i
come back at 2:00 am the first thing i did was to write a review of
the concert... but i am surprised to see that the review was not
posted..!!! where it gone.. .???

Anyway. The Concert was amazing... the whole Auditorium was packed
full... and the man.. Rahman.. was as charming and as sweet as
always.. and cracking some occasional jokes..

He Blash off the Show with " Fannah".. and maily the songs.. Dil Se,
Saathiya, WOHE ( english version), Roja Janeman, Sanda Kozhi,
Roobaroo, Kalbali, Chinama Chilakkama, an many more...

The real treat was the Humma humma song..Man.. when the song was
playes, the whole audiance start dancing... boys, girls, childrens..
mens.. womens.. wow it was great..!!!

one more is the Shivamani's solo performance..  Everyone was hooked to
it and was amazed buy his skills.. many of my chinese friends really
enjoyed the show..

one of a kind show  

Thanks ARR.. he really takes everybody's heart away.. i got the pics
also , i will post soon..

Yes, I noticed that too.  I'm not sure if they useda rough temp track
to edit or if the audio on the clips simply was not limited.  But it
sounds much better in the album version.

I thing only the way to use the plugin AnalogX vocal remover;It is 
available in www.analogx.com it will support mp3 format more than 
others ;I think ogg is good but if u have ripped ur bgm from DVD the 
ogg file represent multitrack due to that u may face some problems 
when u gooing to remove vocals; and u can use ACID PRO (software)with 
this DX plugin
