Check if you have downloaded the entire file. Its a .wmv file and should work on the default Windows Media Player that comes with Windows, no additional codecs are needed. you are very right. actually ghajini suttum vizhi is
no great song, in the sense it is not at all a
difficult song to sing and nothing great ragam or so.
as you said MAYILARAGAE is difficult and very
melodious, beautifully sung by madhushree and naresh
iyer.  Naresh iyer has been awarded best playback
singer in HUB AWARD for this song though he has sung
only one song last year.  JUST AMAZING. is it because
arr song is not promoted properly.  I feel even god
father songs needs more promotion.

Hi guys, I was wondering why Gajini songs became huge hits and ah aah 
didnt. I live in Canada and I dont know how much of a hit each album 
came out to be. I am not being biased a bit but i think mayilirage was 
better than suttum vizhi. Guys i am not saying this because i am an 
arr fan, i am a music lover and any good music will win my regards, 
but at the same time i want to know why what seemed like good to me 
was not so good. Mayilirage is a totally different kind of genre, it 
is the perfect bridge between tamil culture and western music. I play 
both mridangam and keyboard and when i played mayilirage on keyboard 
it was no different than a melodium western music and it was combineed 
so well with the tavil and the shanai. beautiful music like this didnt 
receive what its supposed to vs a pachai killi influenced suttum 
vizhi.

Mithun!!! i donno if u r a die hard fan of pawan kalyan. But the others in this group , Just ignore all the superlatives showered on pawan by this document.He doesn't deserve even a single one.This guy has earlier directed a movie by name "JHONNY".That was the biggest disaster of telugu movie industry.Infact, if not for chiranjeevi, his elder brother,this guy wudn't be fit to be a spot boy even.He himself expects so much out of himself that he always succeeds in falling flat in his attempts.Infact since KHUSHI, all his movies have been big disasters.Hope ARR keeps himself away from this guy.Because the talent of pawan is such that he makes even the best look like the worst.He tries to tamper with the style of all the music directors and interferes unnecessarily in all the depts of film making.This is a complaint every M.D ,director and camera man has to say abt this guy.And P.C.Sreeram only God can save you.ARR !! save yourself.plz plz

NDTV(Walk the talk or bombay talkies, i dont remember,
he confessed that there are some problems betweeen him

Director K S Ravikumar has certainly not forgotten his shelved 
project, the Rajini starrer Jaggubhai. Recently the director visited 
the superstar on the sets of Sivaji. When Rajini had enquired of the 
director's Dasavataram project, Ravikumar said that it was going well 
and hinted at the story of Jaggubhai. Rajini didn't give any response. 
Ravikumar knows that when Rajini is silent it means he is considering. 
This certainly brought some cheer to Ravikumar. As we reported 
already, even Satyanarayana Rao Gaekwad, Rajini's brother, is 
interested in reviving Jaggubhai. If it is revived, the same team will 
work in the flickA R Rahman, Vairamuthu and Sabu Cyril. Ravikumar 
will take up the project immediately after he finishes his Dasavataram 
if Rajini gives his nod.

Priyadarshan's Four Frame Preview Theatre has become an exhibition 
spot for film folks. 
The Good Luck Theatre in Nungambakkam that was run by GV has now 
been revived under a new name and new look, thanks to Priyadarshan. 


Priyadarshan is always busy with films and ad films, but he took 
time off from his busy schedule to show reporters around the Four 
Frame Preview Theatre. Nicely redecorated and installed with latest 
technology like Dolby sound system, the place made us wonder just 
like Priyadarshan's films do. Kollywood is proud that here's a 
preview theater in the south with all up to date facilities. 

 
After looking around the theatre, we asked Priyadarshan some 
questions. 


"My next will be a Tamil film. The title is `Kanchipuram.' This is 
an art film and the actors are all newcomers. The story line is set 
in 1952. The shooting is to start in July," said Priyadarshan adding 
that his favorite Tamil film director is Mani Ratnam. He also said 
there are many technology experts in Tamil cinema but there was a 
terrible shortage of good stories.

[arr] ARR needs to concentrate on BGMs in Tamil movies

In past few tamil movies, ARR's BGM work was average. He mostly 
reworks the song tunes and present them in instrumental form. I 
recently heard the 14 additional tracks from Ah Aah. I am sad to say 
there was nothing special in them to release it in audio form. There 
was only 1 theme which keeps repeating nearly 10 times. The remaining 
were instrumental versions of the song.
When HJ and YSR are receiving good review for their BGM work, its sad 
that ARR lags behind in that dept for the past 2-3 movies.
At the same time ARR is ROCKING in hindi movie BGMs. This may imply 
that ARR gets less time to work on BGMs for tamil movies.
Its hope ARR to ROCK with tamil BGMs too in upcoming movies, 
especially Sivaji. ARR has always done decent job for Rajini movies. 
No 1 can forget the "Oongal theme" in Padayappa. And I really admired 
his BGMs in BABA. He has really done great job even though he was not 
given enough time for that.
Some recent articles stated that ARR is keen to rock in all depts in 
his upcoming movies. Lets hope for the best.

You r right.both the songs have slight similarity, and ARR himself like " Dama dum mast kalander". In his interview with Simi(Star World), he was asked what song would he like to compose which has been created earlier composed by some other MD.and ARR told "Dama dum mast kalander"

[arr] Bombay Dreams

finally watched bombay dreams here in orange county( 
http://www.ocpac.org/onstage/
Event.asp?EventID=572 ). It was two hours of pure Rahman magic.
The show was very good - better than what I had expected it to be. The cast 
were all new and 
most of them did a good job singing but the dialogs for the most part were 
pathetic.
My favorite ooh lala song was replaced by a version of mujhe rang de. there was 
also a 
bhangra song which is not in the CD. 
It looked like the show was sold out and going by the audience reactions, 
shakalaka and 
chaiya chaiya were the big winners.
Before the show started, they played videos of these songs - chaiya chaiya, 
main albeli, chale 
chalo mitwa (nayak), dandiya song from  dil hi dil mein, ni main samajh gayi 
(taal) and 
shakalaka.
