hi, I kinda like the song Rozana from Lakeer sung by VIVA it's a cheerleading song and is just the way it should b. For me it's difficult to point out which r best and which worst. hiii friends,this is my first chance to share a few words with u. i am very happy and proud to be a great fan of our beloved one ARR.now i would like to tell one thing to all of u . u recently searching for the best and worst songs of arrahman. is it a good to search there are so many variety of songs some are molody some are folk, some are beat oriented, and some are classical, and some are slow melody, and some are energetic and some are pleasure and some are mass. if u listen the songs in the correct mood all are very pleasure to hear and to enjoy the music. if u listen in bad mood even the the great compositions may bore. I beg to differ with Madhu or others who believe it is not right to criticize ARRs music. As long as it is constructive criticism even ARR wouldnt mind it. Members of this group should be allowed to voice their thoughts on what could have been done better by ARR to improve a song. Ofcourse its not easy to satisfy the tastebuds of one and all, but ARR has done this nonchalantly. He brought us all together with his music...few wither over a period of time, but not those who still believe that he is a master in his own class. Am one of them who believes in ARRs talent and humility. But that doesnt mean that I will accept all his songs as master class because its by ARR. When ppl say some of his songs are 'bad' what they mean is that it could have been better. Am still an ardent fan of ARR; the ARR of 90s who used to churn out melodies,rhythms and pacy numbers. So many members in this group have written about few albums being disappointing after the initial hearing;I had written about GF too, couple of things which he could have avoided...These are people who are expecting something special from ARR, and when expectations are high its quite natural for ppl to get dissappointed when they hear what they dont want to hear. Am sure there are ppl like me who are waiting for ARR to bring out something pathbreaking like he always used to. He has set a very high standard for himself and his fans, its quite hard for us to accept anything ordinary from ARR. My wait continues...until then I have the company of his brilliant work in the past! The media guys, seems to be loosing track of things. With so many media channels and news dailies cropped up in the last one year, the whole essence of journalism and the art of interviewing is lost. The media guys have lost focus. In pertext with A.R.Rahman, there are so many interviews and articles written, which are the same thing repeated over and over again. We all know by now how ARR has come up in life, the hard ways that he has had to pass through to reach where he is todayand so on...Every other interview or article that you come across has Roja, Rangeela, Taal...the same old story ...blah blah. There's much to discover about ARR. The journalists who interview ARR, are just mesmerised meeting him, and are awed by his immense humbleness All they can ask is When did you start, which is your favourite song, music, etc.Ar'nt we tired of this There's nothing new either in content or style of presentations..Pick the last 10 interviews / articles and you will find all of them are the same old stuff replicated. . . . We must remember, that these guys do not have the same feeling or binding what we experience listening to ARR's music, and I'm sure very few in the group will also have this deja vu feeling. . . . . All said and done, we cannot control media and can do nothing about it. . . .however we can bring some change in the content that we see.and one such initiative is already blossoming into reality . . . .Come 2007, ARR, celebrates 15 years in the music industry.we all owe a lot to this man, who touches so many souls, through his inspiring ocean of mystical notes. . . . . i think many of the film makers dont give the true credit to THE Genius's music(except Ratnam n Shankar) i mean look at Bose-forgotten, the music is simply AWESOME!! but it was not promoted well. even this english song in Kisna, it was also not promoted unlike RDB title song n paathshaala n Roobaro the other more melodic songs like tu bin bataye n khoon chaala n lukka chuppi werent given too much of exposure. there was also one hindi movie in which ARR shared credits with Himmesh Reshamiya it starred Salman n bhumika, nobody even took notice of the music inspite of being melodic. Most of you should be aware of this - www.riya.com , a face recognition based photo sharing service(Similar to Flickr)This has been recently acquired by google. So we can expect this to grow in to a versatile product in future. Still its very good already.We can just point or select a particular part of the photo and add tags to that. And its face recognition phot will eventually recognise that face in any of the photos.That would be great to search all ARR or group photos and we can know the name each person on the photo once it is tagged.This is still invite only and in beta, but "beta" the google way.
