[arr] ARR - Subhash Ghai's YURAAJ by APRIL 2008
After Kisna, Subhash Ghai had been in news mainly into production of films under his banner of Mukta Arts. Ghai however, took the director's seat again with Black N White starring Anil Kapoor. He has now moved on to his next film Yuvraaj which stars Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Zayed Khan and Boman Irani in lead roles. Yuvraaj is a musically entertaining extravaganza, says Subhash Ghai. He further confirms that, The film has a huge budget, around 50 crores, as we shot in Europe, U.K., and western Russia. So what is new in this film? Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor will be doing roles they have never done before. And if public insists then I will do a cameo in this film states Ghai. Also, this will be the first time that Salman will be doing a Subhash Ghai film. Salman decided to shoot for this film, although he had denied work until his case hearing in October. Salman Khan's arrest had never been a problem; this case is almost ten years old but that has not stopped Salman from working and giving his best. Ghai in fact, already shot for a song with Salman and Katrina earlier this week. It was choreographed by Shaimak Davar. The music of the film is done by A R Rahman who had earlier composed the superhit music of Taal for Ghai. The cast and crew will soon leave for Europe for shoot. Subhash Ghai, who had been busy with the launch of Whistling Woods International - institute for Film, Television, and Media Arts, expects to release his film Yuvraaj by April 2008. [arr] Re: Arr Singers
A language is to communicate as long as the other person is able to understand it is not a property to claim and bound by restictions. Many sing tamil songs including me without knowing what it means just because the music appeals. I wish rather the suggestion should be given to the voice dubbing artist who lend voice to the lead females in the Tamil movies. Its a kind of irritation when I hear the unlikely accent (more western) they use. The laughing part is when the village girl speaks in much difficult way in Tamil as if she is being imported from UK / US. Though I cant understand but I have heard ppl speaking Tamil and thats what it irritates me when a language is spoilt by accent than diction. --- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, boaz singh [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: hi ricky its really good to think like this .it should work among the ar rahman team tanx BOAZ - Original Message From: Ricky [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com Sent: Monday, 17 September, 2007 12:45:08 AM Subject: [arr] Re: Arr Singers Hi, I understand your preferance for south indian singers singing songs for South Indian movies. [arr] Re: ARR's interview in today's TOI
Hi, Well I have no problem with his believing that faith is good and a strong binding. But the answer somehow comes across as proclaiming it as a necessary virtue and using it as a yardstick to evaluate people (east vs west), which I feel is not proper as faith (or its absence) is essentially a personal decision. This tone in the answer is of course very subtle and I believe, not at all intentional. Anyway that is just an opinion. --- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, rayrai2k [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I did not find anything wrong. he represented the strong binding that exists which is faith. RE: [arr] ARR mentioned in Asianet Idea Star Singer
You are right. In fact one of the judges, Sarath cited the example of Kuchi Kuchi Rakamma not to appreciate A R Rahman but used it as a sarcasm. This is my personal feeling though. And also he said that ARR uses electronics for his music and also he is a good sound engineer and never said that he is a good composer. Anyway not to worry about these silly comments from these guys. I can't help but say they are just like the frogs in the well, kings of their own fantasy world and confined to it. never ready to accept other's talents and think they are the best. One heartening fact is that a lot of youngsters (contestants) find ARR as their inspiration and one guy while singing Uyire Uyire wept just by the sheer beauty of that song. (even one of the judges Usha Uthup joined him in weeping!!!). [arr] Re: Todays thankless Artists( singers)
Al-Madat maula song had Rahman as co singer. It was his voice singing maula which gives the divine spirit for this song. I dont think AR will ever employ 2 high pitch voices together. If he does he then deploys Sukhwindera Singh as like Mangal mangal song. The best portion on any ARR's song is the way voice is been crafted and engineered. I give the full credit to ARR being the architect for making a same voice much different when sung for other music directors.
