Re: [arr] A true and a heart felt feeling.. thts the Rahmantic feeling feeling for u..
Absolutely Rakesh. Adding up to rakesh's words, there is a new Television Channel JAYAmax getting broadcasted in Tamil, which is dedicatedly telecasting tamil film songs all the times. Whenever you tune up to JAYAmax, you can often find ARR's songs. There is no particular programme called Rahmania or ARR's songs. Its all the times displaying ARR's chartbusters whenever I switch to it. Every morning after getting up from the bed, I use to tune JAYAmax and watch ARR's songs being displayed continuously. Moreover, now a days most of the FM channels broadcasts ARR's songs consecutively. regards, sribalaji. A.R.Rahman - The revolutionary musician of the world. rakesharr [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote Today evening i was listening to the Rahmania show on aaha fm on my mob as i was walking on the road.. Half way through i stopped my mobile radio.. The reason being that almost 80% of the shops played Rahmania show on their radio.. It was a proud momen for me n i felt really elated.. I went to a shop n asked him which fm he was listening to, in a way to see if he was listening the show or just the song, he replied tht it was the Rahmania show n tht he is a regular listener of the show cos he likes ARR songs a lot. . I was just awed by this remark of his.. he said most of the shopkeepers played it knowing tht there is this show.. My eyes were almost filled with tears of happiness.. I just realized.. It was not just self listening tht makes me happy of rahman sir's songs, it is also the fact tht hearing tht others like it as well.. Wen i heard tht the shopkeepers listened n loved ARR songs, it made me immensly happy.. Of all times, it is know tht i realize the extend to which i love Rahman sir and his music.. I have, many a times doubted my own worth as a Rahman fan. But this small incident has cleared all my doubts.. Y should my eyes water wen i hear tht other people like ARR? Cool down buddy. Dont get so emotional about Ilayaraja. I dont understand why you are taking so much pains to pin down ARR's music. When you yourself has admitted that you havent seen Doli Saja Ke Rakhna. I clearly told that I have SEEN ALL THREE VERSIONS. I never said Ilaya's music was bad, I only said it was not as good as Hindi and Malayalam versions. And if you want to continue praising Ilaya, please do it in a Ilaya fan group. Doli Saja Ke Rakhna for me, is anyday light years better than Kadhalukku music. Hi all This ilayaraja or rahman bashing was not my aim at bringing this fact ( that DSKR is the best version) to u all. It is admitted that ilayaraja is a legend. No arguments at all. But not all of his Bgms are applaudable. We are looking into a particular film and analysing it. I havent watched the tamil version because i was not excited by the music. That was not the kind of music expected from maestro who has given many emotional love songs. This is what i wanted to convey. Hence my liking towards the hindi version which is a masterpiece. And all my statements were regarding the songs not the bgms. Sujith Unlimited freedom, unlimited storage. Get it now, on http://help.yahoo.com/l/in/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/tools/tools-08.html/

I guess people here have again starting bashing others comments , I think it is better to comment abt the goodness of some thing u liked than bashing at something u didnt like or felt was inferior I felt both was good in there own style and genre. I liked DSKR very much and am wordless in describing the musik, as all the songs were gr8 , an I liked the Kathalukku Mariyathai too but didnt go in depth analysing the composition as I did for DSKR. :-) On Thu, Mar 27, 2008 at 3:49 PM, nitinchacko [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Cool down buddy. Hi, Ennai thaalaatta varuvaalo is too good but none of the other songs are good in the film. Doli sajake rakhna was far better. [arr] Kamal Hassan interview
A. R. Rahman walked out of the film. He did not walk out of the film but he could not spend time on the film. He could not give us time, and we could not wait any longer and had to make a choice. So, we looked around and since we also had a Hindi film in mind, we went to Himesh Reshammiya. It was just a business choice and when you see the film, you will know that it works for us. I must say that Himesh did surprise me in the first music sitting itself. You have signed Hema Malini for your next film. Tell us more about the film. Yes, I have signed her for the film. All I can say right now is that it's a period film set in the 7th century. It will be a bi-lingual in Hindi and Tamil and I am writing the entire script in Tamil and Atul Tiwari is writing it in Hindi. Rahman will score the music. http://www.mumbaimirror.com/net/mmpaper.aspx? page=articlesectid=30contentid=2008032820080328022706233edca6322

[arr] ARR's 3 songs in The Accidental Husband
After sighting the first post about ARR's songs being used in the movie Accidental Husband.. I decided to see the movie even though I am not a Uma Thurman fan... well, as you already knew it is not just one song, its actually three!... yes, three songs Yaro Yarodi from Alaipayuthe or could be from Sathiya.. as not sure which version whether the tamil or the hindi is used as in the movie only the very first few seconds of the song is used may be we can find out the answer in the Original Sount Track CD of the movie anyways, the second song was Rangde from Thakshak which didn't come as a surprise to me... what surprised me was the third song... Swasame from Thenali (this was the end credit track)... or rather this starts playing just before the movie ends... Well, guys... this I guess must be the first ever tamil song to end up in a Hollywood movie... Congrats, ARR. __ Sent from Yahoo! Mail. [arr] ARR speaks to PTI in Jaipur
A.R. Rahman's music conservatory at Chennai by JuneJaipur (PTI): Composer A R Rahman is planning to start his music conservatory in Chennai by June that will also work as an academy. Rahman, who will perform on Friday at the Rajasthan Festival here, along with drummer Sivamani and singer Sadhana Sargam among others, said he feels good when people say they begin their day by playing Aazeem oh shaan shanshah and end their day with Khawaja mere khawaja, songs from Jodhaa Akbar which have become quite popular. Incidentally, the film was not allowed to be screened in Rajasthan by Rajputs who alleged it had distorted history. Talking to reporters here, Rahman said two things are behind his not doing too much of stage shows. First of all, there should be balance and then I too have a fear of performing on stage, he said, adding but the moment the audience begin to respond, everything gets settled. On reality shows, he said through these programmes television viewers are at least getting to see some kind of music instead of the regular dose of violence. They (the contestants) should utilise the chances given to them. But they do not, it's their problem. On the overall standard of music in Bollywood, Rahman said people are doing some great work but some people don't have self pride. I mean when I am working, I or the producer never compromise on quality. He said his proposed album with Michael Jackson has hit some roadblock but these will be sorted. Appreciating the Jaipur gharana ofmusic and the state for producing some great musicians, Rahman said:Even a nine- year-old kid sings well in Rajasthan and this is what Ilike about this state. http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus/009200803280323.htm
