Hi Pavan,

I think u got me wrong!! I never mentioned that I have the "Making of

I only said that I have the full ARTE documentary video!! Sorry, if u

However, I have one small surprise for all - one rare video which I

Easily one of the BEST of hip hope songs in the recent past. As
someone rightly put, this song doesn't require multiple listening. You
have said that you are going to 'pass' the song. You are really going
to be addictive on this song wait and see..

Hi Chord and all,
I understand where are you coming from.
Liking or disliking a song can be highly personal matter.
We should respect each others feelings.

But disliking a song because Rahman Saab made it catchy and dancy,
will be wrong in my opinion.
>From the video it looks like a situational song.
And if i am not wrong, that's what Rahman Saab been doing his entire
career, composing music according to the requirement of the situation.

[arr] Re: Kannathil Muthamitaal Climax BGM

2008-05-17 Thread Thineshan
hey thanks for the upload sudarsan. Ya the higher the number of
seeders, the faster the download. I am very picky with audio (like
many of us), that is why I wanted lossless. mp3 might sound alright,
however, flac lossless is truly the way to go. You might not notice
now, but in a few years 5.1 will become standard. I have a 5.1 setup
for my computer and so when I play mp3 files (since they are
compressed, the rear and center channel sound VERY VERY bad). with
stereo you might not notice. With flac lossless, none of the channels
will mess up and later on you will truly appreciate the fact that you
have flac rather than 192 mp3. Anyways, I have posted the entire BGM
of KM in lossless flac in torrent. Please give it a try. Also consider
burning the flac files to an audio CD. I will include the required
plugins and instructions for burning in my next post along with the
FINAL BGM collection of KM.

Would JAANE TU YA JAANE NAA turn out to be the QAYAMAT SE QAYAMAT TAK of the
21st century? If reactions from trade as well as 'aam junta' have to be
gauged then this pretty much seems to be happening.

"What had worked most in case of QSQT was its innocence", says a trade
expert, "People didn't know what to expect from the film but the moment
Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla came on screen, they could sense that romance
couldn't have been more innocent and pure. It was a young film which struck
the chord across age groups in a major way. I see something similar
happening for JAANE TU YA JAANE NAA as well."

How exactly? "Well, the first promo itself was an indication of things to
come. Neither did it try to be overtly mushy nor did it give an impression
that JTYJN was one of your usual mushy/romantic movies. Simplicity was the
key word in QSQT and it pretty much seems to be the case in JTYJN as well",
he goes on to add.

Nostalgia is certainly revisited if one looks at the first song that is
currently on air.

"There is a lot expected from A.R. Rahman here, especially since he is
making music for a film that marks the launch of Aamir Khan's nephew Imraan.
In the recent past, Aamir and A.R Rahman have created magic in LAGAAN and
RANG DE BASANTI, though MANGAL PANDEY wasn't all that exciting. With JAANE
TU YA JAANE NAA, it should be time for some young music again."

Directed by debutant filmmaker Abbas Tyrewala (who has also written the
lyrics), JAANE TU YA JAANE NAA is being presented under the banner of Aamir
Khan Productions and PVR Cinema. Genelia D'Souza is the female lead opposite
Imraan. The film releases on 4th July all over, the same day as LOVE STORY
2050 which has another debutant, Harman Baweja, being launched opposite
Priyanka Chopra

[arr] Re: Kannathil Muthamitaal Complete BGM [Lossless]

2008-05-17 Thread Thineshan
Alright, I have removed both the climax and the torrent below because
I finished the entire thing. http://www.sendspace.com/file/9ny5s1

If you already started downloading. Just re-open this and when it asks
for destination, choose where your files are. For instance if the
folder "Kannathil Muthamitaal BGM" is in your desktop, just choose
desktop not the folder itself and it will automatically update the
files you have not downloaded or files which are incomplete.

To the person in India who was download the climax BGM, I am very
sorry for stopping. It's all included in the above link. So please
re-download. I am sorry again.

ENJOY!!! and please share ur comments. This is my first time ripping
BGMs so your comments are the most wanted thing.

Just from what I've heard. The song may hold some surprises, but it
sounds like typical bollywood hip hop. Anyway, I'm still excited
about the album for Kabhi Kabhi, ARR's solo, and 1 or 2 other songs
which appear promising. I really love Kabhi Kabhi. But, the Pappu
song could be one song that I may take a pass on this CD.

I personally think this can be the new youth anthem.its very dancy
and very catchy doesn't need that multiple time listening to get into
it... so it will be really famous amongst the youth

[arr] who’s Aamir’s lucky mascot?

2008-05-17 Thread Vithur
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/India_Buzz/whos_Aamirs_lucky_mascot/articleshow/3049003.cms

Success in Bollywood has as much to do with luck as it has to do with hard
work. Not even an overly-dedicated actor like Aamir Khan is an exception to
this rule.

In fact, Aamir believes that veteran Yahoo actor Shammi Kapoor has been his
good luck charm right from his debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak — when
Aamir had sought Shammi's blessings — to the more recent Taare Zameen Par.
Little wonder, then, that Aamir's not taking any chances for his latest
production Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, that marks the debut of his nephew Imran
Khan.

Resisting the temptation to host a lavish party for the music launch of the
film, Aamir's planning to make it a more intimate affair by going to
Shammi's house on May 20 and presenting him with a copy of the film's music
that's been composed by AR Rahman. Incidentally, Shammi is an old family
friend having worked in classics like Teesri Manzil and Tum Sa Nahi Dekha
which were produced by Aamir's uncle Nasir Hussain.

Says Aamir, "Shammiji's blessings are important. He has been a guiding force
since a long time and has been very close to our family. It's a kind of
ritual for us to go and present him the first copy of the music. This time
it's Imran's launch and it's all the more important."

Thinesan - This is a wonderful work from you. Thanks a ton.

I tried downloading with torrent but found only 2 seeders and was really
slow. So I tried downloading it directly but I had to try quiet a number of
times to start the download. So I thought I will make it easier by uploading
it into my 4shared account.

Here is the link for the file:

I have also converted it into an mp3 at 192 kbps. The quality seems ok to me
anyway comments are welcome. The file size is 14 MB.

you are absolutely correct. bose is one of rahman's alltime best.

sadly the album was not promoted very well and the movie also did not do

[arr] Kannathil Muthamitaal Complete BGM [Lossless]

2008-05-17 Thread Thineshan
Hey guys, here it is: http://www.sendspace.com/file/zg2xnr

I already explained this to you. use softwares such as utorrent to
open this file and remember to save in a destination that you will not
change so that you can seed for other people.

This is a lossless flac rip of the BGMs from KM. Anyways, I still have
about 40 minutes in the movie to go so that means more BGMs coming. I
will update the torrent and I will give you the FINAL FINAL torrent
shortcut one last time. However, you dont have to wait till I am done,
you can start downloading this one, and when I give you the final one,
you can start downloading that in the same place as this one and it
will automatically download the files that you do not have. So don't
wait.

** Please please seed. Remember the more people that seed the easier
it will be to download and upload for everyone. If I or some other
person is the only person to be seeding, it will take forever to
download and it will be a hassle. So please help out.

Anyways, hope you all like it. The rest of the movie (which has some
of the best BGMs ever composed by ARR will be here tomorrow, I stayed
up till 4 am, need to get some sleep).

[arr] Sony-BMG Releases Hindi Album 'Smita'

2008-05-17 Thread Vithur
http://www.tvnext.in/news/145/ARTICLE/1411/2008-05-16.html

Sony-BMG music has announced the release of 'Smita' Hindi album . The album
has been named after its singer Smita and is her second release after "Hai
Rabba" which was released in 2000.

The recently launched album "Smita" has 9 tracks and the music has been
composed by the hit duo - Sajid Wajid (of Partner & Welcome fame) and video
directed & choreographed by the country's leading choreographers
Bosco-Caesar. It has been released in Hindi and Tamil by the leading music
company SONY BMG. The pop album is available in stores from May 7th.

In "Smita", racy dance numbers like the first video single "Mahi Ve" which
was shot on a huge set where multiple set-ups including a 20 feet wide
'lotus pool' was constructed as a part of the set, in which Smita was seated
and completed in a matter of only 2 days with a troupe of 8 professional
British dancers. This will be followed shortly by the second video 'Aaja
Nachle', which is a hip-hopish dance number. The album also includes
seductive and mischievous tracks like "Ouch" to the soothing romantic
ballads "Zara Zara" and "Saawariya", followed by "Dholna" which showcases
Smita's dexterity across genres and emotions.

On the launch of "Smita", her Hindi album, she's excited and raring to go.
An amalgamation of divergent styles of music like dance, pop and soft
romantic tracks, 9 tracks composed by the immensely talented and successful
musical duo – Sajid Wajid. "They're really nice human beings and I immensely
enjoyed working with them even though I just got to know them. They were
present for all the mixing sessions, which made a great difference for the
better because it's very important that the music directors supervise
everything personally." recounts Smita. The artist comments that working
with Bosco and Caesar for the choreography was exciting and she was
extremely comfortable with them since she's known them for a very long time
and has worked with them on several occasions before."

This talented girl was spotted by none other than the legendary singer S P
Balasubramaniam when she was a contestant in a singing contest on ETV at the
age of 15. Even Balasubramaniam asked Smita on the show if she wished to
join acting at a later stage instead of relegating herself to just singing
playback. Unlike the others who went on to become mostly playback singers,
Smita was the only one who joined the world of pop music. But primarily, it
was her parents who encouraged Smita to become a pop singer.

With her first album she emerged as the first Telugu girl born and brought
up in Andhra Pradesh to make a name for her in the national top charts for
several weeks.

Her happiest memory is of her song "Evaraina chusuntara" from the film
"Anukokunda Oka Roju" composed by M M Kreem, won her a Filmfare award as
Best Playback Singer in Telugu films for the year 2005.

This 25 year old singer has the rare ability to sing in six languages
–Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and English. As an all round
performer, Smita makes no bones about the fact that today's singers needn't
hide behind the role of a playback singer – building an image is all part of
the package. Dancing, being able to execute public performances and knowing
how to present yourself to the media are as important but not more important
than actual singing talent.

Smita underwent a special vocal training in USA with Bob Corff – he has
trained a host of Hollywood stars, including the entire cast of Friends and
Millennium School of Dance at LA., where Alicia Silverstone & Britney Spears
is part of the alumnus. More than that, she's learnt martial arts from Tim
Storm, who has worked on Spiderman 2 and Matrix. "I underwent through all
the possible training required which I though would help my singing & my
performance…this has not only made me flexible and agile, but has also
helped build my self-confidence."

*Her dream is to one day work with A.R. Rehman but until then she's busy
rocking her way to the top, and with Smita, she is sure to blow away the
competition*.
