[arr] Rahman may not have faced huge criticism before
I am write something which may not be liked by all and I also don't whether Mr.Gopal will clear my message, Over past few months that is after Rahman won an Oscar for SDM he has been facing criticism on everything he has composed for why is it like that? His fans might have increased so as the criticism, so the fans who really criticize are they really Rahman fan or they have become fans just because he has won an Oscar. Rahman is doing non stop work past 2-3 years earlier we used to get one album where he used to take his own time and we the fans were very happy with that but now the things have changed a lot, Rahman scheduled has become jam packed he is composing music in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and now for Hollywood as well and over that numerous stage shows, world tours, CWG tunes, Champions League tunes its humanly impossible for anyone to manage all these things. Criticizers like to criticize because they are jealous of him and I am sure some fans 'here' or in 'orkut community' are not his fans , they are there just to give negative comments. I still remember the days golden era of A.R.Rahman from 1993 to 2008 where he used to give music with no pressure behind him as a Oscar winner. But soon after winning an Oscar huge criticism followed: 1. Mixed Reactions for Blue2. Mixed Reactions for VTV3. Mixed Reactions for Raavan4. Mixed Reactions for Endhiran especially the hindi songs So has the Oscar Winner tag really benefited him is the real question I being his fan is really worried for him This was my personal opinion no offence. Now as we are discussing here about H.Sridhar's absence affecting Raman's album, I would like to tell that A.R.Rahman's album doesn't have the same magic which it used to have I can say till 2008 I liked 90% of his songs. But from 2009 his songs are lacking soul especially for the albums like Komaram Puli and to a certain extent Raavan. KP is too loud and in case of Raavan except 3 songs all others were too loud. But in case of Blue, Delhi 6 and VTV, the songs were good but if you compare the songs of these 3 albums with his earlier albums you will see a lot of difference. Amit Trivedi is one music director who is proving himself to be one of the versatile music directors in the film industry. First it was Dev D then a song Iktara from Wake Up Sid now with Aisha and Udaan he has surprised me a lot. His songs has uniqueness just like A.R.Rahman who keeps on experimenting. Amit Trivedi's song may not be very catchy at first listen but you will start liking it after you watch the movie. For example: Dev D and Udaan which were not very impressive at first hearing but I started liking it after I watched the movie Aisha is another album which too has interesting songs like Gal Mitthi Mitthi Bol So Amit Trivedi is trying to catch up with the legends like A.R.Rahman S-E-L. Though it is very hard for him and also may take some time to match up with these legends but still it is possible. That will happen if he continues to deliver some more hit songs in future.
[arr] Endhiran music : Keeping very low expectations
Endhiran will have 6 songs, so how will be those 6 songs will be the biggest mystery? Endhiran is a complete sci-film which Rahman has never attempted till now. I remember Blue where rocket high expectations were kept but the music didn't meet the expectations may be post Oscar is putting hell lot of pressure on Rahman, thus whatever new things he try a section of people gets disappointed with his music. So better keep low expectations so that we wont get disappointed and I hope Rahman surprise us this time with chartbuster music in Endhiran more than that its the BGM which will be the main highlight in Endhiran than those 6 songs. Life in aMetro might have been Pritam's one of the best album but I felt
Guru was better the reason behind this that each song in Guru had different
feel. Last year Pritam's Tum Mile was better than Love Aaj Kal but still I
would keep Delhi 6 at the top not simply because I am fan of ARR but the reason
behind is that Delhi 6 too had different feel with different songs.

It was not like 5 years drought for me. I liked all his recent works And for me Raavan is one kind of album which I expect him to deliver quite often. I like this side of Rahman's music very much. My initial review for every Rahman's album is the same hence will not comment. For the ones who didn't like it in first hearing will surely love them after few weeks and if the film turns out to be successful then even the songs which we didn't like will automatically turn out to be of our favorites. Slumdog Millionaire was like pathetic me for me when I listened it to it for the first time now more than a year has passed it is one of my favorite albums. Good to see bulk no of people becoming fans of Rahman all over the world so there is an indication of Rahmanism now turning out to be a new religion Religion of music. This is the only religion where people from all communities get together worship and praises Rahman's god gifted creations. Here we only speak one language music. The Concerts are like the religious processions where all his fans celebrate and get chance to see Rahman singing live. His new releases are like festivals when Rahman fans will be busy buying CDs. Rahmanism is now spreading like fire these days. Rahman's dedication towards music has only made him win an Oscar. Had he been in the Hollywood film industry since the inception he would have won the Oscar in his debut album itself and till now he would have won ' n ' number of Oscars. A big thumbs down for BLUE. I am bit disappointed with the movie. Rahman's music was wasted How come no Yaar Mila...? Why Rehnuma as intro song..? When I was watching the movie I was expecting some more but nothing. You get nothing from this movie. In the end all of a sudden you find... Fiqrana song... the film ends there... All the stunts are typical Hollywood type. The stunts were great but not thrilling. About the BGM In some parts good... but there were lot of moments in the movie without BGM also so that made the film still boring. The makers of BLUE had no vision while making this movie. As usual these big budget movies has hype but they fail to deliver. I am surprised one by one all the 3 movies Delhi 6, Blue and Couples Retreat have turned out to be dumbest movies of 2009. I hope Mani and Shankar will do good for Rahman with their respective films Raavan and Endhiran. My Verdict for BLUE: Rahman's music is good but the movie is not. So I rate only 2 out 5..
