Guys, I have always been a silent reader of these emails between us, fans. This time, I couldnt help but open up with what I feel should be conveyed to all. Maybe the subject line mentioned "Endhiran for kids only" is not appropriate, but I will definitely agree with what Taimur has mentioned. DEFINITELY the soul and the heavenly feel of Rahman sir's tunes are missing...ITS JUST NOT THERE..no matter how much melo and soul you try to seek out of this album, you just cant get it..and dont tell me Robotic sounds, tunes and comps dont have soul or melo. Again, if we are talking about song arrangement and production I would say they are as usual, SUPERB. But yes the style of beats, percussion and arrangements are used were very much prevalent in the past, not now. Only Kadhal ANukkal and Chitti Dance showcase, according to me, conveys his legacy in the album. AND ONE MORE THING, Irumbile Oru Idhaiyam-- what was this song?? I cant imagine Rahman sir himself has sung this song with that K and K. I dont even feel worth mentioning their name here. Normally the songs which he himself sings always remain a masterpiece, be it Vellai Pookkal or Athiradee , or any of his self-sung songs. But this song I guess will be the last in that list. And last but not the least, Rahman sir is a composer who would not bend his music writing style at the behest of a Shankar or a Mani Ratnam or a Shyam Benegal. He can tweak a little bit. Overall I feel, what Sukhi has said might be causing this..."Virus in his hermitage" which might be distracting him or interfering in his heavenly work with his brilliant musical team. Hi ravis...@gmail.com, Very nice reply from you, constructive criticism is something people don't know the meaning of or the need for same fellow who criticize so badly can do it only in the internet, becos he really can't say this is any real forum(a public meeting or even in a friends group for eg).Since internet is place where anyone can speak anything anywhere becos nothing will really hurt/cost them here. In reality, even though we are a democratic country,even an newspaper can't criticize anyone so badly. Taimur, what exactly do u mean by immature and outdated? Most of us don't see immaturity anywhere in the album. Can you please enlighten us? Most of us can visually feel the situation of all songs and all songs are already giving us a feel of the movie, which is exactly what the music must do! You can't have some Balleilakka type intro song here. :| and what exactly is robotic music, forget 1980s robotic music. Kindly give me a few examples of 'robotic music'. I would agree if you did not like Kilimanjaro since its the only misfit in the album. Every other song, music wise, lyrics wise gives the feel of the movie. Yet, you like Kilimanjaro the best. Seems like there is a confusion in what you are looking for. Kishore, If you say stuff like "u are totally unable to interpret what we mean" and use terms like "Innovative Equivalence", it doesn't make us intellectually inferior to you... nor would we doubt our intellectual capacity and start disliking the album just because you dont like it . The point is Enthiran is World class! If you are unable to appreciate it, just accept it, state it if you want and move on... instead of trying to make us feel like we are a bunch of dunderheads for liking the album... God Bless! Jai Ho! No one here wants ARR to repeat of Rehash Thiruda Thiruda or Thee Kuruvi. Perphaps, u are totally unable to interpret what we mean while comparing his recent works with those works. By, comparison, we dont mean to say, he should repeat his work. We dont want repeats of Thiruda Thiruda or Thee Kuruvi, instead, we just want 'Innovative Equivalents' of those tracks. I have posted this many times in this group, but still many members, fail to understand, what we mean by innovative equivalents! For eg: rangeela and Thiruda thiruda are entirely different kinds of soundtrack, and in no way, they are related to each other. But, Rangeela is certainly an innovative equivalent to thiruda thiruda. No one here wants ARR to repeat his previous works. And he would never do that, since he is entirely in a different league. There is a Nostradamus in our group and his name is Gomzy and if one would check a mail from the very past where he replied to you when you were at the peak of praising Enthiran after hearing a small bit, that speaks all. Gomzy is right yet again. Immature is not AR's music but the listeners who want him to repeat Teekuruvi, and Thiruda Thiruda. 1. A genius must understand that this is a soundtrack of a movie and the songs are as what is required by the screenplay and the director. Probably Shankar doesn't like Theekuruvi kind of a song though AR would have said there is my loving fan who would like that kind of a song. 2. Do you have any album which has entirely different electronica (with robot sounds) which doesnt sound anything like the '80s? Would you mind if I say please ask Honda to give some sound loops which would be 2010 Robot pattern and that it doesn't sound like 80s. Majority of AR's current fans were the kids of 80s please note this. 3. You don't like him doing SDMish sounds do you like him to repeat older songs, might be mesmerizing? You probably don't understand how fed up are few members when they see your repeating mails. 4. Do you think creativity is lacking? What exactly do you mean? Give valuable feedback which gives more information and suggestion, if you feel you are wasting money buying an AR album dont buy the next time its released, please.
