We Said Anand. Coudn' agree wih you more. One in a million compositions could 
probably be heard without comparison to something else you've heard before. I 
think Rahman has given us quite a few of those. Have some faith in the man and 
enjoy the music!

This only goes to prove that too much knowledge is dangerous as well. I am 
impressed with the democracy in this group but it is a double-edged sword. We 
as fans have got to do better than terming a 5 second similarity between a 
chorus and an instrument in a 5 minute song as copying. It is important to have 
FAITH in the man rather than super analyzing all the music of every musician in 
this world. After all we have only 2 ears and a short life. So for now, enjoy

heard the song atleast 1000times And  I wud say, there is not even 0.5%
Similarity in d song. There is only a VAGUE similarity in d
chorus... And both the songs are created in d same mood...And tehy say

MUSICIANS AROUND THE WORLD HAVE COPIED AR RAHMAN's ROJA and also MUKKALA
and HUMMA HUMMA.. Esp. WESTERN artists...
These TRACKS travelled AROUND the WORLD under different names and under
different composers 1 or 2 years after Rahman composed the ORIGINAL.

So I emphasise on making u understand that "TUNES are copied FROM
Rahman..And Rahman NEVER COPIES a tune"..

i just went thru the youtube links posted by Raj abt Pritam's copied tunes.
OMG that is what is called real PLAGIARISM

relax mmparthi2003. Kahin To is not copied. the chorus resembles the chorus
of MLTR's actor song. The entire song has an MLTRish soft ballad feel to it.
The tune is totally different from Actor song. This cannot be called a copy,
IMHO

please please listen to both songs once again before deciding. don't judge
from what your friend says

It is really a shame that some people are so quick to accuse ARR of copying
if there is a slight similarity here and there.

his music. At the end of the day he is a human being. Imagine you are
inspired by so many artists
but when creating music you have to be totally original. Just the attempt

Not able to listen to the entire song on indiafm. When does this chorus appear. 
The first half of the song ( the part that I could hear) makes me feel like 
I've heard the song before, but is certainly not a copy of anything I've ever 
heard before.
