Rightly.

Remember a saying "if you fight with a pig in mud, you will soon find
that you are tired and filthy whereas pig is enjoying".

Media is so illogical in this particular issue that better sense is
going to prevail among the readers and they will be able to see it as
an orchestrated campaign to hurt ARR.

We can post our views on blogs, to other mailing lists, newsgroups,
forums.

Re: [arr] How can we fans send a message to the media?

2010-09-03 Thread Srini Santhanam
These people better be ignored. The media in this country is a shame. I have
always felt that, this is just another instance where their ugly face is
revealed. They ridicule themselves by calling VTV and Jeans as duds!

AR will probably be not bothered about all the media circus - he will take it
in the same way he has handled all praises - Ella pugazhum / thootralum
iraivanukke.

The same media that questioned sachin's greatness and asked for him to be
dropped, sang his praise for days together when he proved his worth to them
again.

It's not going to take them much time to start singing Rahman's praise again.

Srini

+1000. Agreed. Reporters don't necessarily write the facts all the times and
even they know about that. Doing anything to stop them would be to waking up
someone who is pretending to be asleep. Every celebrity goes through this
cycle but fortunately, of course it's terrible that it happened, in ARR's
case it has taken more than 15 years and am sure ARR has become too matured
and focused to handle / ignore this issue. However, I am afraid that ARR
will become little sensitive while composing music in the future or anxious
while releasing his product and that it will affect the quality to an
extent. Or, who knows, it could happen other way.

we can't do much here, AJ. Media works this way. I said it in a previous
mail. and it is becoming true. I hate it when i am right :(

it's so sad to see hit albums listed as duds.

i wonder whatever happened to the real journalism.

AJ,

I was thinking the same. But we are totally helpless in this regard. Wish we
had
something which can control media and make them accountable for the news they
report.

Right now, they are the strongest and no one can do anything. :(

Anyone have any creative and intelligent ideas to lash back at the media for
