Also does BPPM has business services cause prod cat is mostly picked

You can configure the assignment routing app admin console to route your
ticket to correct support group.

It looks like the core AR form is being created but apparently the people/itsm 
record isn’t. Also, looks like there are
many more itsm records than AR/user records. Doesn’t seem like the two are 
“talking” to each other…

People record for it. However, if a People record is created, there is ITSM out 
of box workflow to create the people record.
Perhaps you have some integration that is doing this?

If a CTM:People record is created that includes a Remedy Login ID  Password, 
ITSM out of box workflow creates a User record. If a User record is added on 
the User form, no CTM:People record is created, i.e Demo is one example.

Thanks for your reply. Keith from Fusion sent me this KB that resolved my 
issue. I am reposting here just in case it helps someone else. In our case, the 
second solution worked for us. We had turned off the load balancing 
functionality but were still seeing the error. Our server.xml file had the 
parameter maxHttpHeaderSize instead of Maxheadersize so make sure to look out 
for that if the first solution applies you.

Problem
Users are encountering the following error msg: Unable to setup data 
connection, which is preventing the application from working correctly (ARERR 
9351)
Solution 1
Problem due to Maxheadersize limits. The Server.xml file is set at 8k and the 
Load Balancers are set to 4K.  Changing the Load Balancers to 8K resolves the 
issue
Problem
In this scenario a security component blocks the GET Requests from Midtier. For 
POST Requests there are no problems.
It seems that Midtier decides, depending of the length (2047), whether a GET or 
POST will be used. Why are not all requests be sent via POST?
Is there a way with which we could change GET request to POST?

Solution 2
Kindly note that we do not recommend changing GET requests to POST as wherever 
GET request is necessary, it will be used which POST might not be able to 
substitute.
If you still wish to use the POST requests instead of GET then you may alter 
Midtier's config.properties file.
Below, is the parameter which you will need to modify in your Midtier's 
config.properties file:
-
Change,
arsystem.xmlhttp.get=true
to,
arsystem.xmlhttp.get=false

= This will require Restart of your Midtier server.
-
Note: This modification will be applicable for only Backchannel requests of 
Midtier.

before importing to remedy 9 from our Remedy 7.1.

  I agree! I don't think BPCU is worth the trouble for an ITSM system

CI Question

All,

My customer manages multiple programs which are hosted applications. The 
developers are required to document changes - code, scripts, etc. The customer 
wants to create a CI for each hosted application, a CRQ for each change, a CI 
to document to new code/script and relate the changes. 

The Hosted application will be added as a CI. 
Each  new code/script will be a CI.

The question is, which CI form records the hosted application and which CI form 
records the new script? Example: ITSM is a BMC_PRODUCT CI. 

There are several rabbit holes we can go down so , truly, your opinion based on 
experience is welcome.

 All,
 
 My customer manages multiple programs which are hosted applications. 
 The developers are required to document changes - code, scripts, etc. 
 The customer wants to create a CI for each hosted application, a CRQ 
 for each change, a CI to document to new code/script and relate the
changes.
 
 The Hosted application will be added as a CI.
 Each  new code/script will be a CI.
 
 The question is, which CI form records the hosted application and 
 which CI form records the new script? Example: ITSM is a BMC_PRODUCT CI.
 
 There are several rabbit holes we can go down so, truly, your opinion 
 based on experience is welcome.

If you wanted to capture the code changes or the scripts themselves as a CI, 
you could leverage the Document class within the CMDB and attach the scripts in 
the Work Info. Just need to build the business process around it.
