intermittent db timeout errors occurring
Hi all, We are a custom shop running on AR Server 7.6.04 SP3, Mid-Tier Version 7.6.04 SP3 201209071045 Hotfix, Oracle 11g We are starting to receive intermittent DB timeout errors, usually the lock is occurring on a synonym calling a java class object, which leads me to believe its related to mid-tier in some way. Has anyone else seen these types of errors intermittently? Are there any configurations that I should check having to do with java timeouts? Notify Action Missing Field Values in Subject

Has anyone seen this happen before? Hello All, Has anyone ever fired a filter off of the Last Modified By field changing? I have set up a filter to do this, but its not firing...seems like a filter will not fire off of this modification. 7.5 Mid Tier Object List Question
I have imported the Mid Tier Object List form/workflow, when I log in as a regular user with restricted permissions I can see ALL forms even if I don't have permission to view them i.e AR System forms. Is there any way to restrict the visibility of these forms the same way the client does based on Permission Visible/Hidden? Thanks in advance for any help! Disable Mid-Tier Set Refresh Interval on tables
Has anyone found a way to disable the Set Refresh Interval on tables WITHOUT removing the entire option for preferences? Email Error Log Question...
All, I have a process in place to where certain emails are forwarded to our server email from another account. Based on the TO information, I have a filter that picks up this email and creates an Incident. I am currently setting the Body of the email into a description field that is 5000 characters long. If by chance, the Body of the email is 5000 chr, the email engine submits a record to the Email Error Log that says: MessageType: 2 MessageNum: 306 MessageText: Value does not fall within the limits specified for the field AppendedText: (Maximum length- 5000) : TTS:HlpDskTkt : Description Message will be deleted without logging in email messages form because there is an error on submit. And, obviously it deletes the Email record. Is there any way for me to capture who the email was sent From, contents of the email or anything so that I can at least send an email back to them letting them know the incident was not submitted and they need to shorten the email? All, I am trying to setup a dev application server to run multiple instances of AR System Server to test upgrades/patches and am having an issue with a real license being shared with the second instance which is causing them both to not recognize a license and act as a demo license. Here is my setup: Server1 - license (member of server group) - points to remdevdb Server2a -license (member of server group) - points to remdevdb Server2b - demo (only used for testing upgrades/patches) - points to remupgdb When installing Server2b, I did install in a separate directory and the config files for both Server2a/Server2b both have the line: Multiple-ARSystem-Servers: T What am I missing here? Is there a separation of the multilicense file in the directory that I need to split up somehow? Yes, understood. What I meant was for some reason, when I login to 2a and apply that server license, it magically appears for 2b as well. I don't want it to, that is my dilemma. How/Where do I point Server2b to get its license information from a separate location than Server2a? All, We are upgrading from Remedy 6.0.1 to Remedy 7.0.1 patch 001. We are on an Oracle 10.2.3 database. Email Security Key Issue
All, We are in the process of upgrading from Remedy 6.0.1 to Remedy 7.0.1 patch 001, we have a couple of customers who submit tickets via the Email Template method. This works fine in v6, however in v7 we get this error when using the Security Key assigned to this user: Missing AR System User Information. automated process If I use a different account in my Security Key, like my own, then it goes through parsing successfully. Steve, We do the same thing and we experienced the same issue. I got around it by inserting || instead of a carriage return in the template. Then I have a filter on submit of the record to the ticket that replaces the || with an actual carriage return. Help! Email Notifications not going out
All, We are upgrading to 7.0.1 patch 001 and we are having issues with Email Notifications. Regular Outgoing emails are running fine, going through an smtp gateway. The filter notifications are not going out??? Is there anything we can check? Anyone hear of this yet? Remedy 7.0.1 patch 001 Core Field Data Lengths
All, We have home grown Remedy applications. I noticed with the new version 7 that the Submitter/Modified By/Assigned To fields now have a default db length value of 70, which puts the expand box on. Anyone have a nice quick way of changing all of these fields to have the expand box property set to Hide? Just curious, otherwise I will be going through all of my forms manually to hide them... Notify Action on a Filter
All, I am experiencing a weird issue in my test environment. I have an Outgoing mailbox set up and it is set to the default. If I have workflow that does a Push Fields to the ARSystem Email Message form the emails go out fine. If I do a Filter Notify action, the emails are not sending out. Anyone here of this happening? Actually, I have some additional tables that I added to the User form and it is not wanting to include them at all. Even when I bring them over from Fields Not in View...it gives an error on save that says the table has invalid properties. I use this right now in 6.0.1 so I am not sure what has changed to make the properties invalid. Okay, so I submitted a support ticket but I just couldn't wait to find out. So, I took a chance... I exported my Group/User form from v6.0.1 and then imported in place for v7. That cleared up everything. ARS Email Engine 7.0.1 patch 001 Memory Errors
All, We have installed the email engine 7.0.1 patch 001 and are getting Memory Errors in our log files. The email engine is currently taking up an entire CPU to run. This doesn't sound normal. Anyone else having this issue? We put in a support ticket and they are looking into it, but was hoping someone out here can help. Remedy 7.0.1 patch 001 under a Load Balancer
