No support?

2015-05-27 Thread John Baker
I've just been talking to BMC support, but I guess it's an outsourced
team and I thought about writing up some feedback on my experience of
trying to persuade them that when an application crashes, it needs
fixing and shouldn't be subject to an IDEA on BMC Communities.

However, instead, my heart goes out to those who are caught up in the
flooding. The scale of this incident has made the news in the UK and it
must be truly awful to watch your possessions - or your home - float
away...

The city of Houston busses were not running the roads were so bad this morning.
I am very fortunate. My home is on high ground with very good drainage around
the area. My street flooded to the extent that the water was about 4 inches
from coming in my garage. Lost a few tree limbs the other night when the
tornado came through… other than that no damage here.

Where BMC is located was flooded pretty badly last night. They have an
offshoot of one of the bayous that runs alongside their building. I would not
be surprised if it ran over the banks and flooded their garage and their
basement area. That building is built very high up. They pretty much created
a hill and built the building… but there are floors underground. They (we/
because I am very close to their building) had between 8 and 10 inches of rain
last night!

We have not had rain this bad since 1983.

I did manage to get through to someone. They transferred me to a "corporate

The nice gentleman there was puzzled by how I got to him ("You must have dialed

seemed irritated that I was not a BMC employee and was asking for support. He
then nicely told me he couldn't
help me because I wasn't a BMC employee

What permissions you have are based on your currently selected ID. Go in to
"Manage Support IDs" and select another ID as your current ID for the session.
It reverts to primary when you login again but should work for now.

Re: Consuming WebService - No support for attachments error

2007-06-04 Thread Grooms, Frederick W
The only logging for consuming webservices is to set your Plugin Logging level
to 100 (or greater) in your ar.conf (ar.cfg in Windows).
My ar.conf file on development has the following in it: Plugin-Log-Level: 400

If the service you are trying to consume is not able to be consumed from the
standard Remedy webservice plugin you can build your filter to consume the web
service with the ARSPerl plugin and the SOAP::Lite module.

Hello Fred,

you are right the Telelogic WSDL contains the following:

http://www.w3.org/2005/05/xmlmime"; name="attachment"
type="s:base64Binary" xmime:expectedContentTypes="application/binary"/>

I removed all the methods with attachment and build a new WebService in Remedy.
But when I trigger the WebService in the Client I got the following error:
ARERR [9130] An exception occurred from the WebService class : (404)Not Found.
I checked if I deleted too much in the wsdl but it seems all right. Also the
adress location contains the correct value.

Do you have any hint or idea how to log the Java stuff (e.g. axis.jar)
processed in Remedy?
An other problem is that the Telelogic Change Webservices expect its parameters
in an array (with no finite size) which I can not map in Remedy. So it seems we
have to build some Java stuff between Remedy and Telelogic Change.

What does the Telelogic WSDL look like? If it defines an element of
type Attachment (even though you are not using it) it may be causing the error.
You may need to create your own WSDL for the Telelogic service (leaving out
the offending element).

Re: Consuming WebService - No support for attachments error

2007-05-25 Thread Klebe, Tim (Accenture)
Thank you Fred, but the Telelogic shouldn't send any attachment in this method.
It is just a login (only some string parameters) and I expect a token (only one
string). I use the same packages and versions (axis.jar, saaj.jar, jaxrpc) in
Javacode (works) and Remedy (works not).
Does anybody know how I can log the Java code processing in remedy? Maybe how
to set the log4j.properties in /ArSystem/server/? There is an antry
log4j.appender.LOGFILE.File=axis.log but I can not find an axis.log file.

Tim

What does the WSDL you are trying to consume look like. It could be that the
Telelogic Web Service you are trying to consume has attachments defined
differently (or somewhat strangely).

Remedy seems to define an attachment in their WSDL as type="xsd:base64Binary"

Hello,

when I call a Webservice in Remedy 7 I get the following exception in
the client:

ARERR [9130] An exception occurred from the WebService class : ; nested
exception is:
java.lang.RuntimeException: No support for attachments

With a Java and the use of Axis I can call the Webservice and got a
correct response.
By the way anybody else already built an interface to Telelogic Change Synergy?

Cheers,
Tim

With a Java and the use of Axis I can call the Webservice and got a correct response.
