Remedy on a Blackberry
I've never worked with a Blackberry before, but have had a question of if an interface designed for a blackberry could be done in Remedy. Does a Blackberry have IE on it? If so, can you just design a smaller, more condensed view for it? Is it really that simple? Gary, Check out Aeroprise. They have canned and customizable formats for the ARSystem. We used it for a wireless/docked handheld barcode scanner project. It is very flexible. John J. Aeroprise and Vettro V-360 are both products worth attention. You can also develop a similar home grown interface either with C# or the RIM Java API. Subash ___ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org Platinum Sponsor: www.rmsportal.com ARSlist: Where the Answers Are
How to interface Remedy with a blackberry
Hi all, We need to be able to access one of our home grown applications via a Blackberry. We were thinking of simply accessing it via the browser of the Blackberry. But we are having some issues with the JavaScript on the Blackberry. When we try to visualize an entry, we do see the form but not the data. On none of the functionnality are working (menu, sélections etc). If we use the same URL on IE, we do see the information properly and all is functional. The other option would be to create an HTML page to do this and use the APIs ... but was hoping not having to go there. Or is there any tools that exists out there to interface with a Blackberry and Remedy (but not the Helpdesk app.) Any ideas? Re: How to interface Remedy with a blackberry
Hi Pascale, There's a tool called Aeroprise which allows you to interface with the AR System. Basically, it allows you to pick any form in the system (even homemade apps) and create an HTML interface for it. THen you build rules for default ticket lists, etc and it comes up pretty nicely in a Blackberry browser. THere's also a blackberry client for it but i haven't used it much. http://www.aeroprise.com Hope this helps! Re: How to interface Remedy with a blackberry
Vaultus is similar to Aeroprise. Biggest difference is that it carries a mini remedy app on the BB so you can do work on your tickets in RT and then send them back to the server. As opposed to interacting with the server for all your work.
