Re: cmdb asset status change computer systems
A couple of the values are used by workflow such as Ordered, Received, Deployed, In Inventory, and Delete. The others may but I am not sure. Ordered and Received are used by both Purchasing and Receiving console. If you change the values, it may screw up a bunch of these systems. I am 99% sure they don't use the ID's but the values themselves. You should be fine adding values to the list. Managers don't like seeing unused values in their menu though. Doh! Re: cmdb asset status change computer systems
Sure, you can! You can also tug on Superman's cape and pee into the wind. All are very bad ideas, however. You CAN change the verbiage in the values without much issue, but the values themselves are set up with linear, not custom DB IDs. I suppose if you wanted to live on the edge, you change the values, and then use one of the utilities to then change all of your entries to fit the new values, but why buy trouble? cmdb asset status change computer systems
managers being managers: can we change the status of the CI classes in the cmdb. Has anyone does this? any gotcha's? just asking.. if you have and the issues you found. Thanks.
