[AsburyPark] RE: Thank You Asbury Park Police Department
I never post of this board, but today I think I should. Today at 10: 30 AM ET my wife and 4 month old daugher were mugged. While in my driveway on 4th ave, a 15 year old kid, opened the door of my jeep and robbed my wife with my 4 month old inside. My wife called 911 and AP cops arrested him within 2 minutes of the event. Something has to change here and the answer not after school programs. Why wasn't this kid in school in the first place? We need more cops on the street. I'm not looking to point any fingers but the council has to find funding for more cops. Our Police department is over worked, under staffed and under paid.. I would also like to thank Officer Sweeny. We need more officers like him here. Thanks again. Marc Elia Yahoo! [AsburyPark] Re: More dumping in/on Asbury Park...
I think your right. You can watch the dealers every day pull up on bikes and sell the crack heads their fix for the day. Or if your lucky, they go around the corner(5th Ave or 3rd Ave and sell their Meth to someone else. There should be a cop posted there each day. I just don't get why Asbury is the dumping ground for this crap? Thanks for the post Mario... --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Does anyone know if it is really true that AP houses the only meth clinic in Monmouth County ? You show up in Asbury Park, in this really low-rent neighborhood where the one meth clinic in Monmouth County resides, and there's a fucking line of junkies and substance abusers out front. [AsburyPark] RE: Tax Increase
Does anyone know what the new tax rate is? I was looking at my quarterly statement and my bill will increase by $750 next year. What the ROI on that? Looks like more spending is Asbury. Yahoo! [AsburyPark] RE: Bikes on the Boardwalk
Hi All, I'm more of a reader on this board than a poster, but I just wanted to bring something up that makes no sense to me. Last night, my wife and I went for a bike ride on the boardwalk and one of Fishman's workers yelled at us for riding our bikes through the casino. Now we would be more than happy to ride on the street, but it's under construction. This guy had no clue. Does anyone know what the rules are? Why would you stop the bikers who spend money on the boardwalk? Shops will close down and we will then be back to square one. Who will spend money at the shops? The crack heads at Howard Johnson? I bike lane would be great, but the current construction prevents this on the street. Any thoughts or feedback? Marc Elia 4th Ave Yahoo! [AsburyPark] RE: Checkmate to move off cookman to 910 4th ave
I just wanted to let everyone on the board know that checkmate is trying to relocate to 910 4th Ave from Cookman Ave. This should be great for our real estate value. Please take a look at their link. The city should zone this for something that can provide business revenue and jobs for the community: (Bank, Software Company, Art studios, another great restaurant) Please let me know if you have any info on this matter. http://www.check-mateinc.org/ Thank You, Yahoo!
