It is going to be a very interesting year. During this trying economic time, we need to make sure that we do what we can to support local business and industries. Remember it is not just the dollars that we spend, but the show of support. By showing our support for the local community businesses, it gives each of them the impetus to continue the battle for success. We at Restaurant Plan B, have many exciting actives planed for the next few weeks. We are doing our best to keep cost fair and reasonable. Remember that the 3rd Friday of each month is Collide -A-Scope, a city wide art exhibit. There are guided tours available. We are starting our mid-fall menu this weekend. There are some really great items. Appetizers, such as pumpkin soup (vegan), Asian style pork satay with mixed vegetable sushi rolls, and Matt's own Smurf and Turf grilled shrimp and short ribs with a blueberry wine syrup. Some of our entrees include, Chicken stuffed with Shitake mushrooms and scallions, a chicken confit potato hash with apple and cranberry chutney ( I had it tonight ...amazing!). We continue to have our house made pasta...this month it is Ravioli. Exciting news...beginning this month...VEGAN OPTIONS!! 2 of our appetizers are vegan and there is a daily vegan preparation entree. Last but definitely not least, the homemade desserts look greatwarm apple pie with vanilla ice cream and a bourbon pumpkin cheese cake are among the options. Things here in Asbury Park and Restaurant Plan B are as exciting as ever. Take out your calendars and make notes.. you are not going to want to miss any of these activities. They are all going to be spectacular. In date order October 4th, I am so excited to announce that we are hosting at Restaurant Plan B The New Jersey Gay Men's Choir. They will be doing a special performance starting at 7:30 pm. Make your reservations for dinner and come enjoy this amazing group! October 11th we are hosting Keith Calmes, an extraordinary classical guitarist. Luis and I were blown away last time he graced us with his music. October 17th is a new Night of Arts Event in Asbury Park called... Collide-A-Scope.. It is a city wide interactive art festival, taking place every 3rd Friday of the Month... October 17th is the first. We will have live body painting in our front window... its going to be amazing October 30th, along with Paranormal Books, we are hosting at the restaurant a Dessert, Coffee( tea for those who like tea), Seance... it is going to be insane...Space is VERY limited so call the Restaurant at 732-807-4710 or Paranormal Books at 732-455-3188 for reservations. October 31st... A HUGE Halloween Parade...and Halloween Block Party... this is a must do... I will keep you posted on the times and they become finalized. Dear Friends and Family, WOW!, We cannot believe that the summer is almost over. It feels like it just started. This weekend to have a big send off to summer we are proud to have Keith Calmes playing classical guitar music, Saturday, August 30th from 7 PM... As we go into fall, It's time to change our menu and our hours. Our new menu will start next week, we are still working on it...but will be great as usual. Be sure to check our website for the update. We are also going to change our hours as of September 2nd. We will be starting a Prix Fix dinner Tuesday thru Friday, from 4:30-6:30 PM. It will be a four course dinner for $25.00.We will no longer be serving lunch or late nite bites...but are always available for your private functions. NEW HOURS: Dinner Tuesday-Thursday 4:30 PM-10 PM Friday 4:30 PM-12 midnight Saturday 5 PM- 12 midnight Sunday 4 PM- 10 PM Brunch Saturday 10 am-3:30 PM Sunday 10 am-4 PM Asbury Park continues to be exciting as we go into fall.
