Convention Hall is technically private property sold to Asbury Partners and I assume transferred to the Madison Asbury entity. If MM let these panels get stolen then I hope the afforementioned organizations run those bastards out of town. Convention Hall may be owned by MM, but it belongs to the community and the people who cherish it for what it is... always has and always will. Madison Marquette has nowhere to hide here. When it comes to these panels, they're guilty until proven innocent in my book. They've got blood on their hands for waiting so long to put this information out there. If the panels were stolen in August 2011, why wait well over 6 months to get the word out? What repairs needed to be made to Convention Hall that required EVERY SINGLE PANEL to be removed at once, and not just put back on immediately? Not to mention more damage is being done as we speak with the structure exposed to the elements. I've lost all respect for them over this incident unless they come through and resolve this situation. They've got two options... get the panels back or have them precisely replicated out of COPPER. Otherwise, I'll live for the day when MM is run out of town. Yahoo! [AsburyPark] convention hall work seems to be stalled?
that scaffolding had been on the northeast corner of the paramount theatre for months now... does anyone know if theyre still working on the building? also im not sure about other people's opinions of this, but im not a huge fan of the stage thats currently set up on the beach in front of convention hall nor the lighting theyve attached to the building. the arthur pryor bandshell could be accomplishing the purpose of that stage. They probably stopped work in order to take care of other projects that were already due to be done... I'm sure they will go back to it soon. The CH wasn't worded to be done this summer anyway, was it? It would be cool to have the bandshell open, but I don't know if that was really planned to happen this summer again, was it? I remember MM had said the 2nd story would be worked on sometime in the future? And that the ground floor was their main issue right now? Pretty sure that's what I remeber, maybe someone else can give better information. The lights on CH? Do you mean the spot lights that light up each brick post on the balcony? I like those lights, but wish they would have done a better job with it. I like the stage, it was cool the night of the fireworks. The blue lights near the entrance to the Beach Bar are also neat.

The lights on Convention Hall have been on in the past. They were on about 5 years ago during the summer all of them. I also remember when they were on all the time in the summer growing up as a kid. During the boat shows back in the 80's they were on all the time. i dont know about the 80s, but i remember 5 years ago when a few were on. i posted on here about it i think. back then, a few on the front facade of the building were on. now all are on, around the whole building. even the side facing the ocean. - Get your own web address. i think its sketchy how asbury partners removed the convention hall signs soon after its purcashe, and now years later, they have yet to be replaced. i thought at first, the plan was to rename the building with the phrase "center" somewhere in there. but now years later, they are still calling it convention hall, yet no sign. last night, they had on the "greetings from asbury park" sign on top. why the hell would they turn that on, its not even visiable anymore, beasue of the lack of working bulbs!
