Yeah Tom, I admit I forgot a bit about those old disney tv series like rescue rangers and ducktales, even though now you mention it I do remember going to see the ducktales film when I was about five or six, I remember not being able to get how the eldily duck was called Scrooge Mc duck, and yet was not mean like Scrooge in A christmas Carrol, . I also have some quite sad memories of trying to watch ducktales episodes after losing most of my vision at age 7 as well,  though in fairness it didnt bother me quite as much as not being able to watch the Ninja Turtles.Regarding the early disneys, actually my parents got most of those on video when my brother and I were growing up, so Ive seen generally all of the classics, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty etc, (I remember particularly enjoying the Jungle book when i was six or so sinse Id read
  Kiplings original and it was nice to see the characters Id read about on screen singing and dancing).Ive got nothing against cg as a style, Toystory, the first Shrek, hoodwinked, ants, corpse bride and not a few others have been really great cg films, but I totally agree about the animation losing something. I actually did wonder if this was because I find animation easier to see and follow owing to the extra contrast, but your comments are interesting, though I do disagree on creativity, since it feels more than ever these days the characters, situations etc in a lot of films are just repeats in different settings,  by no means all, but certainly a majority, and this especially seems to hold for kid and young adult films, which is why I pretty much dont tend to bother anymore with the pixar stuff, or even a lot with dreamworks despite really enjoying shrek, indeed the last new cg film I saw was tim bertons alices in wonderland, and ev
 en that felt basically like another lotr knock off fantasy film with one or two lewis carrol elements thrown in, albeit it did have quite a cool dragon and I liked the way Alice wasnt actually obnoxious.Btw, if you thought Scar from the Lion King was evil, youve never heard him in Japanese! Disney managed to get quite a famous voice actor to do the translation, indeed though who know anime will likely recognize his voice as the voice of Shishio in rouroni kenshin, Mr. Vaccume in Dicon brothers and various other nasty characters.While Jerimy ions scar is awsome,  I never really thought of him as quite this! psychotic, indeed this version of Be Prepared has gathered something of a net following for its utterly evilness! What sorts of accessible voice changing software is out there, with what capabilities?My googlings keep leading me to AV Voice Changing Software (audio4fun.com), which ... really does not appear to be accessible at all, even though the descriptions make it sound like exactly what Im looking for otherwise.(The latest demo I tried just... made horrible noises until I made it go away...)[edit] Tried Morph Vox. Its not too bad, and I havent really done much with it yet. Im also using an old version of NVDA that doesnt get along well with the controls in the GUI, but so far so good. Sopme people mightremember the web game alien adoptin agency. well,its for a couple of years, well know its back, though with a new developer at the helm. Of all the pvp heavy games, I think a3 was one of the best, mostly because of the diverse range of activities from herb collecting, to farming, fishing, having miniture wars with robotic troops and of course flying spaceships. So far Morph Vox is nice, but I do have a bit of a problem. It works fine with my laptops built-in microphone, if with an awful background drone; at one point it changed some setting because the volume peaked, and before then it was clearly doing some auot-filtering to combat echo or noise or something. When I plugged in my USB microphone, the drone of course vanished, but it sounds like someone ran noise reduction at the highest setting--anything that is the least bit quiet doesnt get picked up, and its pretty well impossible to avoid losing some sound even if its kept loud. I imagine theres a setting somewhere that will improve matters at least some (there are obviously going to be processing artifacts regardless), but I have no idea where to look for such settings.And I still wouldnt mind if something better came along. ;PURL: http://forum.audiogames.net/view

Looking for recommendations on an accessible boot cd with disk imaging

Ive recently got into encrypting my entire hard drive with TrueCrypt, including my system partition. If i get disk imaging software to create an image of the drive while I am on windows (i.e hot imaging) it would back up my data in an unencrypted form as TrueCrypt decrypts it on the fly. If i were to restore from such an image, the boot loader that I would get would not work properly as it would be trying to decrypt the drive after I entered my password and I would have to then restore it with my original bootloader pre-system encryption. After all that, I would have to reencrypt the system partition, which requires me to create a different rescue cd which is a lot of hassle.I figured that the only way to overcome this inconvenience is to find a boot CD with a) a screen reader in the boot environment andb) disk imaging utility that can make a sector-by-sector copy of the partition so that when I restore the partition, it would remain in its encrypted

Hi,Unfortunately, the only way I know of is a command line program called sf2comp. Sf2comp was made to more or less take apart a sound font, extracting the wav samples and then generating a text file. The code in that text file is kind of a scripting language, but thankfully, it is like 98 percent English. hardly any odd symbols, or technical programming terms, just sound font specific instructions. You can edit everything to your hearts content, and when youre done, you can use Sf2comp to compile them back into a sound font and test it. The idea is, you can make small changes to existing sound fonts, and quite easily create your own if youre good enough at it!I found Sf2comp for the same reason you made this topic; I was looking for something that would edit fonts. Initially, I thought Sf2comp would be more than difficult, but since I had no other choice, I worked with it, and now I enjoy working with it as if it was just an ordinary editor.NO 
 matter what route you take, sound font development can be time consuming, tedious, and definitely requires a lot of precise attention. You probably know that theres no quick and easy way to make a quality font. Sf2comp is probably even harder than using an editor, since youre working with a scripting language, instead of working in a nice little interface with visual and audible feedback. Im not trying to discourage you, but many people think that making quality sound fonts is second nature... trust me, it never is. It does get easier over time, but youll never be able to do it in your sleep.There are other editors, like Viena, and Polyphone, but I bet you already looked into those.There are two Vienna editors, one has a single n and one has a double n. Vienna, with a double n, only works with Creative sound cards, and I know hardly anyone that has one of those anymore. I know some blind people whove used it successfully, but I dont kn
 ow details. Viena, with only one n, was developed by a totally different person, and works with any sound card. It is supposed to look and feel a lot like the Vienna that only works with Creative cards, but I dont think it does a good job. Most of the people I know who have tried it werent impressed, at least not by its interface. I wasnt able to get into it very much myself. Then there is another one called Polyphone... stay away from it. Its nowhere near accessible, at least not as far as i can tell. I could barely manage to open a file, let alone get into the editing stuff. If you do have any luck with any of the editors above, though, Id be eager to hear about it.If you want to discuss Sf2comp, we can talk about it either on this topic, or privately, it doesnt matter to me. If you decide to dive in, Id like to help you get started with it, since learning it is the hardest part of using it. Theres very little outside help on i

Since I am studying linguistics, I have done some work on using an artificial sound to manipulate inside my mouth, such as what people do with an electrolarynx. Hi Hadi,From what I remember, that voice changer is not accessible. i dont even know what it sounds like.Aso it depends on what you want your voice changer to do. Some voice changers are nothing more than pitch shifters. Some of the worst voice changers are very bad pitch shifters... nonetheless if all you want is to sound like a chipmunk, or have a vague resemblence to Darth Vader or some monster, that may be all you need. yep, caster, that was what reminded me of music that in Britain is associated with the second world war, such as the sisters (the andrew sisters I believe), who always get played to evoke that era,  one of their principle hits was the boogiewoogie beugal boy of company B.Of course, being more a classical musician in the strictest sense, Gershwin is my favourite of that sort of thing, though arguably he was more a classical composer influenced by what was at the time popular music, than a jaz musician who happened to write orchestral. Its the appeal to over all popular culture that is part of what I mean by create by steriotypes since it seems far more a matter of just throwing a lot of standard elements together, rather than actually being creative. In fairness this hasnt just happened with disney, Doctor who in the Uk has now become just as bland and full of nothingg substantial, which is quite a feet for a series that 
 goes by the excentricity of its main character. In fairness not everything is this way, Im quite pleased for instance how well Game of thrones is doing, since whether you love or hate it, no doubt Martin has created something roundly different and quite distinct, indeed something quite challenging, but it seems this is happening far less often now, especially in the film industry. Well Bryan In the lotr film, I actually galadriel, precisely because she was quite disturbing, however again I dont like how Jackson represented Galadriel being tempted by the ring. In the book, this is one of the few very blatant displays of magic, but even hear its used subtly to create the idea of Galadriel as more herself, and the way that it is acted in the radio play with only a slight echoe on the voice and the thrumming representing the ring in the baqkcground is fantastic. Again, i could imagine this done really well in the film, Galadriel standing, holding up the silver ring, with light coming down on her from above, sunlight in the dark woodland grotto where the mirror was, making the silver ring glow, and making her appear to be luminous even though the sorce of the light was elsewhere. However once again, Jackson has to oversimplify with massive glowy cg effects and a whacking great reverb that made galadriel sound more like emperor of 
 the Daleks than queen of the earth . Regarding theology, well as weve discussed before, I think in the states the really extreme forms of christianity are not just common, but actually the norm! Certainly over here most Anglican Vicars (and a good few catholic ones), would hold a far more reasonable position on matters like biblical interpretation and tolerance, indeed studdying the various versions of the bible and deciding upon ethical and philosophical truth which might be derived from the words makes up part of the ordination course. of course there are some! loopy extremists, but I dont think most institutions in the Uk, and certainly the main ones like the Church of England would hold those sorts of views,  heck someone the director in the last production I was in (also with the first name Luke), was deffinately a fairly ard

Although whenever I use the word classical music, it is because I am referring to the clean and organised style of writing music in the 18th century. Classical music is the general term that means music created with art and intricacy otherwise not found in popular music, such as improvisation, a key element in Jazz.Yes there is definitely a lot of stereotyping in popular culture, with anything really, not just movies.
