Hey all. So, school is dumb these days. For one, its a bunch of adults yelling at us, teaching us stuff we already know, and teaching us stuff we will never need to know. Like will I have to know how to use the pythagorean theorem when I do stuff when I grow up? I doubt that. I'm gonna be a game tester, the kind that gets rich and stuff. Hi,when I bought my laptop all I needed to do was set the username, country etc. My laptop alas wasn't one of those that could or would start narrator at that point but after you get the system up and running it shouldn't be a problem. and the inicial setup takes about a few minutes. As for windows8? even if you aren't comfortable, most laptops nowadays will let you downgrade to 7 with almost all drivers available. I myself didn't find windows8 all that fun. even with the latest version of NVDA it wasn't quite smooth or risponcive what you will.The laptop specs sound farely good to me at that pricepoint. but then again you could look around for a few different ones just to have  a choice when it comes to choosing.This is farely obvious,but I'll say it just in case. try the laptop keyboard and all before you buy. I didn't  and now this thing is a pain in the, yeah sometimes. with that said, I have a question I hope I don't highjack the thred completely anyway. Aprone, because someone asked me on Twitter earlier and I know more will now that the server is up… Can people now create new accounts? I'm assuming no, but thought I'd double check. Someone was telling me (via Swamp's twitter) how he had been banned for no %#[ a-t ]$ reason. It took me a bit to explain what is going on. On another note, let us know when you decide on Map5's loot. Once I have that, the updated Readme file will be ready to go. Most notably, it now describes which accessories and ammo go with which weapons, and offers generalized descriptions of each map's physical layout, and of course it incorporates Map5's entrance. Typed all the stuff mentioned in comand prompt (as admin) and nothing happened... hi aprone. one thing of note here, is that most good power supplies, have a switch on the back of them, that disconnects the power from the supply. so although it is plugged in, no power remains going to the unit. where as cheaper ones, you turn the computer off, but power remains flowing to the supply. if you can, obviously, money willing, grab supplies that have the switch on the back, usually next to the plug. this way, when you aren't using a computer, IE it's turned off, flick that switch to off. this means that power can no longer flow to the unit. much safer, and means less damage is possible in cases like this.good to hear the server is back up. will get on there in a bit. good work!URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=161395#p161395

Cat food is actually much more healthy and rich on various daily needed supplements than half the products produced for humans. Funnily enough the quality, safety and health regulations regarding cat food are very similar to human food as well and even exceed it in some aspects. At least here in my country. It smells atrocious but that's because the manufacturers add various ingredients to appeal to the cat's sense of smell since their sense of taste is severely underdeveloped.  #039;s wich wil offer graiter protection. against surges. they are more advanced then just basic wall surge protecters. as they are more able to deal with power spikes under, and over voldiges and such. judgeing from your pcs, maybe a small little  one of say, 500 va. should do the trick. or if you save up. and if we help out. u can get your self a deesintone of  .1 KVA, wich will really help to protect more then just one pc. and help against power cuts as well. if a surge hits? they would be the most likely to go first. and not your pc's.to end off. here is a little storry of what happened to me. i had a power surge. in my pc's it melted the whires of my i.c.  hardrive dock unit, destroyed my graffics card. and melted the whires of the docking unit, inside the cace. the power supply was damaged as well. from that day on? i got a UPS, and no more of those nasty surprises, granted this was six years ago. but chowy lurned hi
 s lesson well.I agree of the fans being cheep in the power supplies today. A while back I had a power supply that started rattling because the fan had warn out. I took the unit apart and unplugged the fan, and the thing litterly fell apart in my hands. rofl Thankfuly I was able to replace it because the fan was not sottared to the actually unit. I used an old standerd PC fan in it's place. I'll be interested to see what the description is. annoyingly when I spent half an hour writing my review I was just booted out  and told my knickname was already taken, and everything got lost, but I'll give it another go. My solo mode  playthru is grinding on, however finding leather and steel is proving a real problem, so I still have no armour at all. I nearly unlocked the sulphur mine using a bone spear, iron sword and steel sword, however while I got through the first two soldiers through extensive use of food  and bolas the  veteran defeated me. This was annoying since he only had 10 hp left, and if I'd had another bola I would've likely won. It's doubly annoying since while I have a spare steel sword, the iron one is lost and I can't spare the leather to build another one, not if I
  actually want to make some armour.It's a shame I can't swap cole, iron or sulphur for leather or steel, particularly because cole and sulphur won't be  that useful, heck I've got thousands of steel scales and teeth and even a big load of wood, since once I'd finished building traps wood isn't much use anymore and it's just piling up,Still nobody said Solo mode was easy. Back to the drawing board, maybe further out locations will yield better loot, and at least my 30 traps give me one leather a pop, if worst comes to worst I could just wait and sit around and get leather that way, and if exploring locations gets too dangerous I might need to do that.It's a shame there isn't a leather mine .I think next time I play I'll leave the caves as much as possible, and just explore houses until I can get to

I'm using QRead as well, and though I've only been doing that for about a month or two, I am not the slightest disappointed. I don't think it can read mobi, but epub is no problem. As far as I remember, it can also read unprotected pdf files, another thing I love about that program... @ianrXAudio2 was somehow slow and performed rather poorly. It doesn't provide a lot of intelligence and therefore doesn't seem to be worth the effort. OpenAL/OpenTK seems to be your best bet if you are committed to invest a lot of time and effort. It's low level stuff and if you are like me not a professional programmer this will most likely cause you severe headaches. Even if you are and use it to the fullest of its capabilities there is still the inherent problem with HRTF itself. It would ideally need to be fitted to the individual person or the advantage over a simple left/right/distance implementation of sound is not high enough to warrant all the required work. Differentiating sounds behind and in front of you is already hard enough in real life where you move around your head. hi how to kill that zombie undead hate thing in 19 4? However I'd be interested to know if these processed might work differently in blind people. Given that their brain operates quite different where auditive stimuli are concerned it would be reasonable to assume that this part might not necessarily be true for them. I would be cautious when referring to scientific publications about acoustic experiences in non-visually deprived people when we are talking about people who have lived for decades or even since birth without distracting sights.In audio games, on the other hand, though being set in an all acousmatic situation, sound events inside the sound frame are objectified within the player’s mental imagery, thus making them ‘visible’ to the player, and therefore, not truly acousmatic.Herein lies the problem with creating audio games for sight impaired people. Most professional developers and programmers are not visually impaired and their mental imagery based on sound input differ significantly of the one their customers experience.When a developer designs an audio game environment, the amount of information present will always have to be balanced against the comprehensibility of the soundscape.An astute conclusion and one that most people only make after actually trying their hand at designing and creating an audio game. There is one pitfall though and one that repeats a point I made earlier. I am truly and completely screwed when I try to play most audio games because my ability to separate a sound-scape into individual sounds is seriously underdeveloped. However, sight impaired people have years of training and experience in doing so. What I perceive as a cacophonous mess might  be easily comprehensible to others.In fact, user–system interaction is viewed as a conversation between the user and the “designer’s deputy” – a programmed representative of the designer. Since the designers are no longer there at the time such conversations are carried out, they must anticipate every possible conversation. Thus, the designer’s deputy is capable of participating in all and only the designed conversations.This might have been true in 2003 where this quote originates but in recent years game designers have migrated to a concept known as emergent gameplay. The designer creates a simple but usually vast set of rules and mechanics that are not necessarily interconnected. The player itself combines and uses these mechanics with each other and is therefore able to create emergent gameplay not explicitly designed by the originator of the system. Minecraft is a good and well known example of it. It simply provides a semi-randomly generated world and a set of simple mechanics and tools. The players themselves create their own objectives and experiences never envisioned by the creator of the game. It is even possible to design a game that provides emergent narrative although this is difficult to do and often fails. Creating emergent gameplay in an audio game would be the pinnacle of game design and is something that interests me greatly.Chapter 4.2This chapter simply reproduces the theories and work of other people without additional conclusions. Since the terminology of this work is used in the following chapters the summary is obviously justified but I would have liked to see some additional derivative thoughts added to it.Sound can often be the first thing that a person perceives before waking up
