You could also have scrolls that healed, if you wanted. I avoided that in my last post, mostly just wanted to see an attack scroll for simplicity. If I did it, though, heres what Id do:Ross: none (he gets Toxic Storm, so his final scroll would just be big damage)Kelly: stun effect (1-3 rounds), bosses may be immuneCecil: does residual damage on every round, akin to poison; this damage would start low and would double every time the scroll was used successfully.Gabriel: lowers enemy defense on each successful use (perfect only, a decent use would not lower defense); this would let Gabriel hit harder and harderShawna: every perfect casting raises Shawnas impact or attack (or both?)Stella: heals Stella for half the damage dealt by the scrollAlso, wish me luck. Ive just finished beating the only two bosses I had left and am about to go into Hell on Earth.

I believe the current version of Sarah is 1.04, though its been a while sinse I last played the game, actually I should do that at some point.I did a bit of voice acting for the new sarah version and phil had to age up one of my characters as well,  and indeed even make one higher! If anyone truly shuns company from the non visually impaired I would be very, very alarmed. Another matter entirely are those who only seek VI people on internet discussion media, sometimes for valid reasons and sometimes not. While we can discuss all day whether it is valid or healthy I want to stress that it isnt really our place to judge them. Also remember that many such people may have mental health issues including severe depression, and that likely isnt exclusively because of their visual impairment.Ultimately its unfair to make sweeping statements like that because every individual is different and while it isnt necessarily the best thing for them to do they arent always in a place where theyre capable of doing otherwise. Yes there are those who give people with visual impairments a bad reputation and thats just obnoxious but it equally isnt the responsibility of visually impaired people to get out there and acti
 vely improve our reputation, not everyone can be militant about the whole business and the day we reach true equality will be the day were all able to live a life where we dont have to convince anyone of anything after all.

I do sometimes wonder if your perfectionist atitude is also something of your undoing sinse Ive noticed you spend considderable amounts of time experimenting and playing with the background code, rather than working on the content. If however your sick of racing and want to develop a startrek game, or an accessible castlevania, or an audio port of Joust, asteroids or some other 80s atari game, or some sort of dungeons a
 nd dragons style rpg,  then well also fare enough.When those games become commercial, you offer people who preordered raceway montizumas revenge etc some vouchers or money off. After all what would happen if Id preordered something from a shop, only to find the company who made it went out of business. They wouldnt say well wait several years and well make you a new one theyd just give me either some credit or my money back. Short of tracking down James North and having some large scary Mafia type fellows insist on Da money! or else we gis ya da cemente overcoat! it seems that offering money off future titles, whatever those titles are is the way to go. yep, some people will winj and whine about this, but some people will winj and whine about anything! and having an active developer releasing games definitely trumps a few grumblers :d.

Spoilery timedontreadifyoudontwantspoilageSo, I made it to what I think is the final challenge, and boy! what a challenge it is. Youre stuck into a boss fight, during which you will only hear the first beep from your scroll. The others are silent. Worst part? If you fail, you die instantly. My suggestion is to stick to something like Aura Master from Ross. Anyway, I have no idea how to beat the second part of the fight...I can do damage to the second form, but not nearly fast enough. Im not sure if itll be a toxic storm sort of thing or an Embodiment of Cruelclaw sort of thing.Either way, for anyone interested, I got all thirteen galactic stones, and got a trophy after completing boss endurance mode. Basically fought all the bosses in a row without healing, though with my heightened stats it really wasnt fair. Stella cleans house with the earlier bosses, and Shawna whips most of the others.
  I think I used Cecil once, never touched Simon, Gabriel or Kelly...Simon mostly because I didnt quite dare.Im curious. How many trophies are in the game, and is there anything special for beating this final boss, or just a wad of experience and coins?

I have to agree with what everyone said here. Ill admit I wish I hadnt said some of the things I did about USA games a few years ago... Well, maybe not the way I worded them. Dragon flame is actually stuck in a similar situation right now, where robjoy is holding back from developing anything because he cant add one particular feature (even though controller support is mostly done and adding network support is trivial, hes waiting for a good sound library that can support both environmental effects and HRTF support for the next version instead of pushing out whats already there).Anyway, whatever you decide, heres hoping you can sort things out.

Im sorry to say, but Skype is very much usable. Many blind screenreader users are using Skype on various platforms daily, and they wouldnt have done so, if Skype wasnt usable. Maybe some people should do some research on how to use Skype successfully instead of complaining and just give up? Microsoft have talked about dropping the Skype API for very long time now. So people has been worned, so they could catch up, and learn how to use Skype if they wanted to.

Hi.[[wow]], that was a rather odd issue. It sounds like Pipe 2 looks up the keyboard from other places than the registry, which might be the reason for this issue. Sharp keys writes the remaps in the registry, but I dont know if there are other tools out there.

What is your class combo?Remember he is undead, so you might be able to turn him, Ive never tried that though... As far as I remember his primary method of attacking is Tarrants spectral hand, which I believe deals Cold damage... I ought to know that, Im level 36 necromancer...Lol!If you can, I suggest you create some sort of tank minion to take most of the hits. Other sorts of minions wont hurt either.

I will check out the links to make sure they work.I am sorry I decided to go with the patch idea as it does not work on newer computers.I suggest installing the game in a new folder, not program file, such as,c:\users\your name\games\sarahWhen I started working on the update, about five years ago I did not realize that there wer several bugs in changing levels and a limit to the total number of objects in the game.David has just recently fixed these bugs so the game should not crash.Right now I am working with last years game engine that fixed the panning, level crashing and increased the number of objects.But this was sent to me before the Shades of Doom beta was first released.What I hope to do once I get the new engine is to release what I have now to my beta team, then decide on what changes I can make that will not take too much time.

The trick is not to put a massive amount of ennergy into things behind the scene, but rather put the ennergy into things which people can see and play with. Start out with something small, design it so people can help expanding it, which theyll do for sure if they find it worth it. Of course it should be easy to make maps or other things to the game so anyone who wants to do it can make what they want. But Im sure you have even more than it requires to make such games, which people can help you to build on. Just take a look at Tactical battle.

hi jayde. i entered the post game area via the first wing again, found the protector boss and defeated her, but for the life of me i cant find any other bosses to fight. i dont want to enter the kindom of fragments again since i have already defeated the boss in there. found a chamber with the band in it and i requested it to play songs for me, but there is no way out of there and no boss other then to take the teleporter back to hells ruins. i also found the disturbed sentury with the 4 switches at the 4 corners of the large room. i went round flicking the switches, but the teleporter does not take me any where new. what am i missing? are there any other routes to other bosses that i have missed out? basically i would say that i found 3 routes from the post game area, 1 leads to the kingdom of fragments via a teleporter after i found a person that can upgrade my stats with coins just like the statistics shop, another way leads me to the protector boss, and the l
 ast 1 i managed to find teleports me to the disturbed sentury.

Hi all,I must say, the point about others not having computers, well, now that you put it that way, I can certainly agree with this. Unfortunately I dont think Ill be able to convince the ones I know to have a look at this line, but I might give it a shot, as the more members the better.@noctunous: I use twitter a lot, trying to integrate with different groups there. Sometimes, it works, sometimes, it doesnt. But Ive certainly made some contacts here and there from both the blind and sighted communities.Getting out is also a nice idea, and I try my best with that. I still wouldnt consider myself independant, unfortunately, but its best to mix and mingle with the sighted where possible. Finding folks nearer my age, now thats a bit tricky. In this situation I often get my parents telling me that theyre too busy talking or some such, which I can understand but also find annoying. At that point, its hard to know w
 hen to approach them.Me, Id love to find some local gamers or sci-fi fans.

@Kelwl, as of version 1.2, to leave the area where the kingdom of fragments is, take the telepoter out of the kingdom to the rins f2 and press right one step and go down. There is a gap between the fragments teleporter and the wall you can skip through.Since you arent there any more, this wont help you though.

At nocturnus: In short, im sorry i jumped the gun a little in my previous post. Sometimes, as you know, context is really hard to grasp when using a screenreader. What may fully be intended as observations of one persons behalf turns in to a flat sounding attack on the masses. Im sure you thought your post out clearly, i was wrong to assume otherwise. Outside of this forum, my girlfriend is the only blind person i associate with at all. So, i have a ton of sighted peers, and i understand your point about blind folks who need to interact and mingle with sighted individuals. From the blind people i have interacted with, to be honest, i cringe at how isolated they were, and how much they truly needed to learn out there in the big world where things actually take place outside of there bubble. I certainly wouldnt waste my time being an appolagist for that level of isolation, or the lack of will to mingle with the rest of society. Your points certainly ring true
 , and we could all take pieces of advice from them.

Hi,Efi is extensible something or anothe. Ive never bothered with the abriviations. Anyway, basically what it is is you use mbr in stead of gpt. What that means to an average computer user is that you get unlimited partitions. Like you know, on windows, you get c:, d:, e:, etc? but actually, on mbr, you can only get 4 partitions, essentially three because one partition is taken up by the windows bootloader. But, on gpt, you can build however much partitions you want. And I think gpt has more space for the bootloader as well, though not sure.

The thing with GPT partitions, at least in linux, is you typically have the boot-loader on its own partition, usually about 2M in size. What i have learned getting an arch system up and running from scratch is quite simply, you can put some flavor of linux on anything if you dedicate your efforts to it.

@Chris that area is randomly generated, its different everytime you start a new game.Bug report!If you are playing with no internet connection available, the game will hang for a good 20 ~ 30 seconds because the update checker is trying to connect to the server. It needs to time out much earlier.

Hmm, now that you bring up captchas that reminds me of how google removed the captchas entirely and changed to the sms verification method. Basically, when creating a google account, you give them your phone number, and an automated system sends you a text message with a unique verification code and then a link to carry on with registration that will expire after a time that I dont remember. When that link is clicked you enter the verification code, and carry on with registration. Actually, I dont think they give you a code, they probably just give you a unique registration link to carry on with registration and confirm that it is you continuing registration. Only problem with that, although most people have a phone or other mobile device, it would be kind of overkill to just assume everyone! has a phone. Second, Id imagine that spambot programmers has long since worked around this method and have injected fake phone numbers that receive messages into spambots. A
 dditionally, Dark is right about the whole human spammer thing, those guys ought to have phones if they know whats good for them and bad for us, or they fake it themselves. But on the other hand, it does work around the whole captcha thing.

Ive just tried the skype addon for nvda, but it doesnot appear to be working. If I dont use the addon in non-compact view, I get the message Sorry, the conversation window is not in focus. When I switch to compact view, I just hear blank when hitting control 1 through 0.

some info about the status of 15 numbers

I see in the 15 numbers db entry that there is unknown status on bsc. I dont know the full status of this game at this point, but I can definitely provide some info that may point us in kind of the right direction. First, lets make one thing clear. 15 numbers is not a product made by bsc. The main project was made by Igor whom as we know runs vip games zone at this time, used to make games like this under the name elf group. Justin, however, was the sound guy for that game, and he has produced all the sounds and voices for that game. Thus, since 2002 he was an authorized distributor of this game, in deed in order to get the game you bought it from him as the elfgroup website went down in 2002, funnily enough right when there was the news post about hunter on that page. He was distributing 15 numbers until 2011, right up to when he closed his bsc games site and merged the 2. And, when he made his final offer, 15 numbers was not included in that package and the keygen co
 uld not generate keys for this game. I have preserved my registration code so can still play this game myself, but since I need clarification from Igor before I can say its abandoned, the least I could do at this time is offer the demo version that runs for 15 times and cuts out. So the status is still unknown, but we know a little more about it now.

Hi,Ive played this, but there are a few bugs regarding the voiceover implementation. Amir will be fixing them this weekend. Even with those bugs, however, the game can still be enjoyed. Just keep your whits about you. YOull most likely die a lot here, like Ive done. but Im getting there, its definitely hard to master but its meant to be that way. Its a nice little game, although this time... no wait... thatll be spoiling it.

Use whichever character youre most comfortable with. Personally, I like Shawna, but Cecil is also a decent choice. Kelly is sort of a bad option because Embodiment of Righteousness is a pain to use, and Embodiment of Cruelclaw from Ross is also a bit of a pain. Gabriel is probably second worst, next to Kelly.FairlylargespoilersaheadIn Disturbed Sanctuary, flick all the switches to on (they start as off). Youll know because when a switch is on, it buzzes more sharply. Once this is done, return to the bottom edge of the map, find the teleporter there, but instead of using it to return to the main ruins, go due north from it. Youll find a save point and a new teleporter, which will take you to the second floor.Ghostly Chamber is very vague. Keep asking the guy to play you tunes, and every time you do, go back to the teleporter and try to use it. Eventually, one tune will make it so that instead of teleporting you out, the telep
 orter sends you to the second floor. When you get there, watch out...there are walls that you can pass right through. Its sort of confusing, because youll hear what sounds like a wall on one side, but nothing will actually be there.Youre missing another area too. Check near the northwest part of the main ruins, and you should find a teleporter to a place called Jeffrey Memorial. Its a huge maze of sorts with two floors, but theres a boss in there as well. Those three bosses/areas should keep you busy. Once theyre dead, you can return to Hell on Earth for your last challenge.

Two new games in ChoiceScript, Fatehaven and Path of Light

Hi,On the hosted games label, there are two new fantasy releases.Fatehaven and Path of Light.In Fatehaven, you take control of someone who will become a Mage, but its different from Life of a Wizard in many ways. For one, theres no magic school/academy. Interestingly, everything came together very nicely in the end, but I cant really say much more than that for fear of spoiling it.I havent played Path of Light yet, so I cant comment on it, but I know it has a fantasy theme.

Fadi, The Dark Room Sex Game is written in Java so it doesnt have an executible, per se. All you have to do is press enter on the jar file and it will run. That of course assumes you have the latest Java runtime installed for your operating system though.
